Staying in a former chocolate factory was a new and sweet experience. The room was 2 story...small sitting room down and small bedroom/bathroom upstairs. Provided breakfast was excellent...huge tray of cakes, meats cheeses, pastries, fruit pancakes and chocolate for dipping. Also menu with eggs, bacon, and numerous other options. You have to have a hot chocolate at least once...dark, Rich and thick. Fabulous. All for a Very reasonable cost per night. Parking is a little tough...small cobblestone street. We got a good spot and never risked moving the car again. Very walkable area. Took an Uber (very inexpensive )if needed to go farther . All in all, recommend the experience

Maybe I went to this hotel with the wrong idea but this hotel is super outdated and they literally poured chocolate on it to make it a story worth telling. I would not go here twice, the rooms are ok - but also outdated same as communal areas, its a all a bit faded an greyish. Staff and breakfast are the two positive points!

Ein sehr nettes "Themen Hotel"! Vielerlei Bezüge zu Schokolade. Alles gut durchdacht und attraktiv präsentiert. Und ein ganz tolles junges Team, das sich für "ihr" Hotel mit Herzblut einsetzt! Ein sehr gutes Erlebnis für uns.

Themenhotel am Rande der Altstadt mit integriertem Schokoladen-Museum im Keller. Letzteres wendet sich didaktisch eher an Kinder. Das Zimmer (Thema "Weisse Schokolade") hätte etwas größer sein können und Kosmetikartikel mit Schokoladenaroma muss ich nicht unbdingt haben. Aber alles war gepflegt und sauber. Hervorzuheben ist das engagierte, freundliche und hilfsbereite Team - Danke !

Haben uns anhand der Fotos mehr erhofft. Das Zimmer und das Bad war sehr klein, aber sauber. Zur Anreise gab es eine Tafel Schokolade und freien Eintritt ins Museum. Die Lage und das Frühstück waren gut. Abendessen wurde nicht angeboten. Parkmöglichkeiten gegen Bezahlung und ab Nächten kostenlos.

Das Hotel befindet sich zentral in der Stadt. Das gesamte Hotel riecht angenehm nach Schokolade. Im Preis ist ein Besuch des Schokoladenmuseums inbegriffen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sehr gut schallisoliert. Es ist sehr sauber mit großer Terrasse. Im Zimmer ist ein Kühlschrank, ein Wasserkocher, Tee und Wasser steht bereit... Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und ausreichend.

The chocolate museum is an interesting place for both young and older visitors. Lots of interactive activities and a well stocked gift shop make this place a must-visit when in Viana do Castelo. Be sure to ask about the ruby chocolate and to take a bag home with you

Absolutely nothing chocolate about our stay, just a tiny room. I dont understand the appeal. We had high Hope's and the receptionist even said she didnt want to spoil the surprise. The surprise turned out to be a tiny room with no amenities for a big price

We have stayed at superior room - white chocolate. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was so comfortable! The staff were very friendly and we have received a voucher for the bar. The hot chocolate was just amazing!

Very charming hotel, the staff really try their best to make their guest happy and the breakfast is out of this world.

Includes the Chocolate Museum with an interactive or personal guide to learn the art of chocolate. The hotel in the city centre is a good spot to visit and enjoy the North of Portugal.

We went for the escape room, and it was great fun. Well organized and integrated in the museum. It is not as other escape rooms as the room itself was not made for the game, but still it was great fun. The staff was mega nice.
