The
check-in
process
was
quick
and
easy.
When
we
arrived
at
our
room,
I
noticed
right
away
something
was
wrong
with
the
air
conditioner.
The
room
was
over
90
degrees.
The
air
coming
out
of
the
unit
was
not
blowing
as
cold
or
as
fast
as
it
should
have
been.
We
immediately
went
back
to
the
front
desk
to
request
another
room.
Rather
than
taking
my
word
for
it
and
just
giving
us
another
room,
the
employee
made
us
wait
there
while
she
went
up
to
the
room
to
“investigate.”
She
eventually
returned
to
inform
us
that
the
air
conditioner
actually
WAS
working
properly,
and
we
just
needed
to
give
it
“ten
minutes.”
So
I
yielded
and
took
my
children
back
to
eat
dinner
in
the
90+
degree
hotel
room.
We
gave
it
about
45
minutes,
and
it
still
wasn’t
getting
any
cooler.
So
I
returned
to
the
front
desk,
now
covered
in
sweat,
and
again
requested
another
room.
This
time,
she
did
get
us
into
a
different
room.
When
we
got
to
the
room
that
we
would
be
sleeping
in
that
night,
we
were
surprised
to
discover
it
was
a
smoking
room,
which
smelled
pretty
badly
(thanks
a
lot).
We
had
specifically
requested
a
non-smoking
room.
But
the
air
conditioner
was
working,
and
we
were
exhausted,
so
we
just
gave
up
and
went
to
sleep.
If
you’re
looking
for
a
comfortable
place
to
come
off
the
road
and
get
some
rest,
look
elsewhere.
It
is
also
under
major
construction,
and
you
can’t
come
in
the
front
door.
