Went for lunch on Thanksgiving (US). Steaks med rare, good flavor. Stuffed mushrooms very juicy n tasty. Shrimp appetizer maybe best I have had, lots of butter, pepperoncini, etc. Ice cream pie was excellent, maybe a bit on the large side so good to share. Place was super busy so no secret this place is good. Good solid choice for steak. Server was friendly and attentive. Glad he spoke English well since my French is a big zero. Definitely recommend.

I was disappointed with my experience this time around. I have been here several times pre COVID, and really enjoyed this restaurant. It seems that all restaurants are now having staffing issues and food quality/quantity has suffered. I ordered the snails which came covered in a I don't know what sauce instead of a traditional cheese and garlic covering. In addition, the snails were paired with mushroom caps in order to disguise the miniscule size of the snails, poor deception. My lobster tails were very small and the rest of the plate without much on it. My uncle's prime rib looked like the sole of a shoe, brown and lifeless looking. Just downhill from what i remembered. The ambience was fine,.but being served by a young woman did not add to the steakhouse vibe. I am not certain I will go back here given the myriad of restos that are in Montreal and are being opened. This place is a dinosaur on its way to extinction if the food quality/quantity remains as is. Very disappointing.

Oh my goodness, what an incredible experience. Service 10/10 Ambience 10/10 Food 11/10 Everything was amazing. We were the first ones here so it felt like a private dining experience. The baked Brie was the best I’ve ever had. It comes with a pesto spread and a red pepper jelly. Both were super good. My husband and I both had the bacon wrapped filet mignon with a Caesar salad to start. Steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were very good. Thank you Keg steakhouse for a memorable and lovely evening!

Looking to try a Montreal classic, make sure to pay a visit to The Keg (multiple locations). I had the baseball cut sirloin…. Not my go to cut but very unique and very enjoyable. And of course had to try the Billy Minor ice cream pie. When in 🇨🇦 Canada. I always like to try items that are local specific and was happy that I had. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We came here to celebrate everyone's Birthday 🎂🥳, we like the ambience and the service. This time we arrived early we had to wait in the bar, the bartender was very nice! I rate this visit with 4 because it's the first time that we don't get the bread at the beginning, we love that bread. We had to ask for it from the waitress. I'm allergic to sea food and always the chef came and advised me about the options that I made. This time I tried the pecan steak in the 50 year celebration edition. I can tell you it's incredibly good!! They gave the 2 cake's one for each birthday person.

Really an elegant restaurant. We had no reservations (actually made them for the wrong location), but the gentleman offered to seat us outside, which we appreciated. And just when I began to feel a bit chilly they lit a heat lamp behind me! Service was impeccable. Food was absolutely delicious; the steak was cooked perfectly. Drinks were very good. And everything was reasonably priced. Loved it.

The Keg I am a fan of all my experience in Ontario and Alberta. I was visiting Montreal and decided to try it out. I ordered my normal red Sangria, which was delicious as usual. Then, for dinner, I ordered the Blackened Chicken, which is awesome at Joey's and Cactus Cafe. It was not anything like what was expected. It was not blackened or spicy it just tasted was a little sweet and lacked the punch that you would expect from this meal. I am still a great fan of The Keg, so I will just chugg this off to a one dish not to order.

What an amazing modern steakhouse. The bare was lively without being obnoxious, the staff was friendly and the place was full of regulars even at 11 in the evening. I wanted to eat light so steaks will wait for tomorrow but I van heartily recommend the escargot and French onion soup. The creme brule was sublime, and the perfect finish to a very long day of traveling.

We went there for our anniversary, had a three-course dinner, and were surprised by two glasses of champagne! It was an unforgettable night. The price may sound high but it is definitely worth it given the amazing taste. Also, it came to my surprise that the portions were not small at all. I will recommend the escargot and calamari for the appetizer, the Prime Rib for the main course, and brownie for the dessert which is served with ice cream.

Service was terrible!!!!! Waitress took forever to come to our table. Drinks took forever. I had to ask another waitress for the check since our waitress did not come around forever. I will not go back and don’t recommend.

The service was amazing, top-notch.. The staff made you feel like family. Very attentive. So good that we came back the following night for a second meal. It will be one of my go to restaurants when I'm in the city.

I love the Keg, it Nevers disappoints me. The food is always the delicious, we had a tartar to start, it was perfect. I had a stake, Medium rare Chicago style was juicy inside like it should. For the side the veggies were delicious and the mushrooms too. I've been in different locations and the food and service is always the best!

The Keg is mine and my sister go-to place. We always have a beautiful, delicious, cozy and “chic” time there. Food is always exquisite and it comes in good portions. Not too expensive, considering the quality of the restaurant. The service here is always fast, personalized and friendly, respecting reservations and desires. My sister ordered the Keg Burger (21CAD) (smoked bacon, cheddar with fries) I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and I LOVED IT! (17CAD) It was a “soup” sort of feeling of carrots, peas, celery and corn, with a puff pastry on top (delicious by the way) and accompanied with a green salad. Our “daiquiris” were out-of-this-world. Sweet, tasty, but not too sweet. And we couldn’t even finish them! Like always, an amazing experience at The Keg. Will come back for more!

We were in the downtown area as we had a concert to attend. We decided to give this restaurant a try. We arrived at 4:30pm and asked to be seated inside the restaurant. The hostess informed us that the restaurant was full and the only option was at the bar or outside at the terrace. We were seated at a nice table at a corner facing the typical Montreal traffic on René Lévesque Boulevard. The server placed a warm ciabatta bread along with compound butter. We ordered the 10 oz Keg Prime Rib which was served with horseradish, red wine herb jus, crispy fried onions, and an accompaniment of our choice. We chose the twice baked potato with bacon bits. The prime rib was cooked to perfection served at a medium rare doneness. The meat was tender, flavorful and paired nicely with the red wine herb jus and the horseradish which was not overpowering. I also ordered a red wine sangria served with fresh berries. The dining experience was beautiful except for the buzzing bees flying around the terrace which made it quite unpleasant. As a result, we had to eat and drink as fast as we could as anxiety started to set in as the bees were approaching my legs. At the end of the meal, I went inside to use the restroom and to my surprise there were many vacant tables on my way to the bathroom.

Went here for a birthday. The lobster and steak were delicious but the vegetables were under cooled and looked like an after thought. Amazing Margaritas 🍹. My waiters were awesome.

Satisfied with my visit. Consistent service and quality. Atmosphere was nice. Food was good. I don’t usually like supporting chains but as long as they keep the good consistent food quality and service they will get my business.

My friend and I were immediately greeted and helped. The bread they give is warm and fresh. We got the filet mignon which is cooked to perfection. The Brie with a side of red pepper jelly, pesto and crustini was delicious as well! I got a blackberry daiquiri that was strong but not overbearing and it had the perfect amount of sweetness. Our waiter, Jason, was very attentive and helpful with the menu as well.

I came here for a late night meal (after 9PM). Service was fast and effective. The staff was super friendly. I ordered the fried calamari and onion soup as appetizers. The calamari portion was huge! I didn’t expect that. It was crispy and delicious. The onion soup was very tasty. Then came the burger and fries. It was good but I found the beef patty a bit dry. However, the bacon in the burger gave it a nice touch. The ambiance is quite nice. I would definitely come back another day to try their steaks.

Great evening to be outside. Our service was wonderful. Food was just right. We had the steak and lobster and steak and grilled shrimp, along with the wedge salad. The shrimp could have used a little seasoning, but overall, we can't complain. Everything was very good. We have visited two of their locations. Here in Montreal and the other location in Whistler. Both are wonderful. Based on the locations, their pricing for what you are getting is very good. There are other restaurants in the area that are not as good and a lot higher priced.

One of the best steakhouses I have been to. The meal had great portions, the steak tasted like it was freshly grilled and so flavorful. The cocktails and wine were so delicious with the meal. I was so full when I left from the restaurant, but would absolutely go back again. And I have to give a special acknowledgement to Joelle and Kimmy for being such excellent staff taking care of me during dinner. They were friendly, professional, and provided wonderful recommendations for dinner. They made the dinner experience all the more wonderful!

I really like my experience at The Keg. We were a large group, and the service was amazing. They took good care of us. We had 2 waiters. However, the reason why I gave 4 stars, it's because I didn't like my steak and it's steakhouse. My steak was neither tender nor tasty. I've heard good reviews for their lamb, really tender. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

I went with a group of 9 people and I was pretty impressed with how quick the service was. We had vegetarians in our group and it sucked that they ran out of cauliflower that day so one of their veggie dishes was taken off the menu. I, on the other hand, enjoyed my meat! It was very flavourful & cooked to my liking!

How do I discribe The Keg to you. How about the best darn tooting place to have a great steak with lobster and sides. cocktails yup they have it, beer for sure, wine and all other alcoholic beverages you can think of. Great service great food and great atmosphere. Its the 2nd time I have been here and won't be the last. I Came here with my wife for my Birthday. A great place to celebrate. Thank you Keg

Dined at The Keg and was thoroughly impressed. Their oven brie, paired with small breads, jam, and pesto, created a harmonious blend of flavors that was absolutely delicious. The French onion soup stood out, with the onions cooked to a deep hue, revealing a prolonged cooking process that rendered them delightfully sweet. The steaks have consistently been top-notch, showcasing their expertise in that arena. However, a word of caution on their alcoholic beverages — they can be a hit or miss. Overall, The Keg delivers a satisfying dining experience that's worth revisiting.

Service and atmosphere are very good. Food is also pretty good but there are better places, though those are also more expensive. So overall it is pretty good and for the price point is very good. Service was the best so far. Lots of young and cheerfull staff, especially the ladies! Shrimp coktail is a must! Red wine was served too cold, but that is a Montreal thing it seems.😊

A very elegant atmosphere from the decoration of the premises to the service of the host and the waiter who were very friendly. The appetizers we chose were Calamari and Tuna Tartare, which were very tasty. As always, quality meat and they recommended a wine that was the perfect accompaniment for this dinner.

Went to the Keg on my most recent trip to Montreal and was pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. I was really looking for some prime rib and they delivered. Juicy, a good size and cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were great as well. Service was very attentive and friendly. We sat outside and usually service suffers when you do that but we were never left waiting. It wasn’t very crowded when we went though. I had thjs peanut butter pie for dessert that was extremely delicious. Decadent and rich, I might have even like it more than my prime rib. Left very happy. I thought the price for what you get and the location you’re in was very reasonable too.

The most amazing customer service, I mentioned I was allergic to egg when I was asking about a dish. They went over everything I was going to eat and went out of their way to make sure my food was prepared in a clean area. I was so grateful. The food was perfect! My only regret was I didn't have room for desert.

It has been a while since we've been to The Keg, and it hasn't lost any steps. The food was really tasty - Pistachio crusted salmon and prime rib classic were both cooked perfectly. Tasty but not overseasoned. Fresh veggies were actually fresh, and even the dough and bread were good. Maggie our server was lovely, attentive and helpful, without being overbearing. Great date night!

Went for a after work reunion dinner and had a blast. The atmosphere was comfortable and the server was amazing. Great drink selections, and menu. The food was great, got steak, shrimp and mushrooms. The steak was cooked perfectly, only downside was the peppercorn was heavy on the spice. But overall it didn't make me want to lose points. The overall experience was amazing.

Keg is the best steakhouse in town and must visit place! I personally had amazing dining experience here. My steak was seasoned well, cooked well, and it even had smoke flavor. Friendly and professional staffs are working here. My sister informed them to put some birthday candles if possible on desert upon reservation for my her birthday, and guess what they offered us their specialty cake for free! Thanks for your service and hope to visit here again soon.

We were greeted at the door with a complimentary drink. The restaurant was incredibly busy on a Saturday night. I would highly recommend making reservations. We were told the wait could be as long as 2 hours. The restaurant uses text messages to let you know when your table is ready so you can walk around while waiting. We waited one hour and watched the game while having a drink. The service and food were fantastic. I have a dietary restriction so a manager came to confirm my order. As there are no dairy free dessert options our coffees were also taken care of.

I had dinner here with my partner and we had the best time ever. The hostess was very friendly and sat us in a lovey hidden away table. Our server was as equally friendly. She made some food suggestions which were delicious. And the drinks were definitely not watered down Loved it Will definitely go back if I’m in Montreal again

Saturday night at the The Keg doesn’t get better than this. Such a great evening for couples and families. The meals were all on point and enjoyed by all. It’s definitely one of our favourite place to dine!

We went there for lunch on a Friday. The place was quiet. We sat outdoors in a very nice setting. The service was excellent. The food was good but nothing special. Would I go there again? Probably not. I like more adventurous food.

We came all the way from Ontario and were trying to have dinner there but were not allowed due to lack of proper proof of vaccine. I was told by the manager that the Keg and us can EACH get a $6000 fine if we were allowed to eat there. It turns out we were given an incorrect information !! How disappointing. Never go back!!!

Excellent customer service and food, our waiter Danys went above and beyond for us. It was a large group of 7, celebrating a family birthday. He was very personable, professional, classy, funny and attentive. I ordered the mushrooms Neptune and French onion soup to start which were both absolutely mouthwatering. I had the 6 ounce sirloin steak with garlic mashed potatoes (forgot to save my photo on Snapchat unfortunately) and Caesar salad to start, both of which were very tasty and superb. I was unable to finish my main dish so I brought it back to the hotel and finished it the next day. I felt like I got great value and excellent customer service for what I paid, especially after losing my uncle last week to cancer.
