👍 Very good place to relax! We did a relaxing promenade for about 1h30 taking breaks. Unless you go to the end of it on the east side, it can be done quite quickly. There is a paying parking lot for 8$/2h, otherwise it’s not too hard to find parking in the nearby streets. The moulins on the west sid... People often mention visit, interesting,

Very interesting information on how the machines installed on the river and around evolved throughout the ages. The movie showing elderly talking about the historical events and how this city and the villages surroundings it changed, is very emotional: it shows how the river shore, the pristine natural forest and villages changed from peaceful sceneries and dwellings to spend vacations, into industrial zones. Furthermore, came the total destruction of those beautiful forests, springs, and magnificent places to spend vacation. Gradually, everything was torn and replaced by buildings, streets and condominiums.

Gorgeous nice short stroll. Decent street parking nearby, clean paths with a nice "boardwalk" by the water with a beautiful view of sunsets

There is a paying parking lot for 8$/2h, otherwise it’s not too hard to find parking in the nearby streets. The moulins on the west side are a must to see! Lots of shades in many places so it’s easier for those of us who appreciate our friend the scorching sun in small doses :)

This is a tiny museum which is fun to visit if you happen to be in the park next door. The people who greet you and show you around make the place a lot more interesting. Their stories and history lessons are great to listen to.

This park is a great place to evade the city without actually leaving it. It has plenty of walking or cross-country skiing trails depending on the season. It also has an interesting museum on site. The only season that is less attractive is spring when all the snow melts and everything is muddy.

Historical figures are great sources of knowledge, they know their subject well. I am a history buff and my discussion with the man who was at the Maison du Pressoir this Saturday, August 19, around 4 p.m., was very pleasant and edifying. Thanks to him! Good visit !!

Part of the visit sets the tone for local communities and another part of the taming of water for human activity.

(Translated by Google) Nice little museum with free access. Somewhat hidden away in the nature park of Visitation Island. If you are lucky enough to have a visit with Stéphane Tessier, master animator on board, accompanied by the violinist and their period stories. An exhibition describing the remains found on site. Relating the life and task of the inhabitants of the colony. At the time when the Sault au Récollet was still an emerging independent village.
