I had the worst hotel experience in Europe in the past decade. The hotel withdrew money from my credit card excessively and without permission. They charged the reservation amount once and also placed a pending charge equivalent to that amount on my credit card. There was a significant delay during the check-in process. During check-in, they requested more money from me, exceeding the previously paid amount, resulting in another temporary pending charge on my credit card. After check-in, they assigned my selected room to another person without permission and gave me a different room. After an unexpectedly long delay during check-in, on the first day during breakfast, my name was not registered in the hotel guests' list. Consequently, I faced an unacceptable delay in accessing the breakfast buffet. The hotel did not respond promptly and appropriately to my repeated emails from the time of reservation until check-out. During check-out, they charged my credit card again. I strongly do not recommend this hotel, even if you plan to spend a night in Vienna on the street.

We stayed one night and it was very good. Check in was quick, the room (deluxe king) was great in size, had a comfortable bed, a sofa, plenty of space to stretch and even to put luggage away. The bathroom was clean, spacious and had an amazing shower. Breakfast was plenty and really really nice. Parking is 25 euro a day, make sure you validate your ticket at reception. Very close to the palace. Would stay again!

Very Obscure near the Schönbrunn Palace. Well located in Vienna. Best hotel in Vienna, massive hotel luxurious. Suite’s are like a millionaire Hotel, extremely idyllic suites. They give you cookies when you arrive nice and warm, also very nice. I would recommend this hotel 100% in Vienna. And breakfast it’s monstrosity, it’s just delicious. Very picturesque view and hotel is just absolutely wicked! Technology is very advanced here. Please do come

I was checked in by Amelia, very courteous and professional staff member. I had a little issue with my room, everything was promptly resolved by Pavel, the amazing Front Office Manager. Fawzi was very helpful and friendly as well. The location is very good, in ten minutes you can reach the U4 Schönbrunn station, or few trams and buses reach the Westbahnhof in about ten minutes. I was very happy about the buffet breakfast, everything was there to get some good energy! 😃 I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself is beautiful - new, clean, well staffed. My gripe is with the disfunctionality between the hotel and associated functions. You cannot charge the parking to the room as it is a separate function. You can not charge the restaurant or bar to the room as it is a separate function (first I have seen like this). And you can not charge the 24/7 mini market to the room as it is a separate function (first I have seen like this). I do not appreciate contracting out such functions.

We were thoroughly pleased with the hotel itself and our room; everything was impeccable, except for the receptionists. Their service left us greatly dissatisfied. We were pleased with the daily room cleaning service provided by the hotel. The housekeeping staff diligently cleaned our room every day, ensuring it remained tidy and comfortable throughout our stay. Additionally, we appreciated that the bedsheets were changed daily, contributing to a fresh and hygienic environment. Furthermore, we were exceptionally satisfied with the breakfasts provided. We highly recommend including breakfasts in the booking, as they were a delightful and enjoyable part of our stay. The quality and variety of the breakfast options exceeded our expectations, and it contributed significantly to our overall positive experience at the hotel. Having paid for a week-long stay, during which all expenses were covered, we encountered a recurring issue every evening upon returning to the hotel. Our key card consistently failed to function, preventing us from entering our room. Despite contacting the receptionists for assistance on five consecutive days, they failed to resolve the problem before our departure. It became increasingly bothersome to repeatedly visit the reception desk every time we wished to access our room, requesting them to rectify the issue with our card. Additionally, we experienced an unfortunate incident when we requested to prolong our stay by one night. We willingly paid the required charges for the extra night, expecting that our stay had been successfully extended. However, to our shock and surprise, we were later informed that our stay had not been prolonged as requested. It was truly perplexing how such a miscommunication or error could occur, and it left us feeling quite disappointed and inconvenienced. What is more, I inadvertently left my jacket in the hotel room upon checking out, and to my dismay, I have not received any communication from your staff regarding this matter. As a guest, I had hoped for a prompt and efficient response when such incidents occur. Unfortunately, the lack of communication has left me feeling let down and inconvenienced. I understand that oversights can happen, but it is disheartening to be left without any information or assistance regarding the recovery of my belongings.

I had chosen the hotel because of the proximity to an event. The day prior to arrival I had asked for an early check-in. I was asked if available. When I arrived I was told there was no availability. The woman at the reception told me I could use the business center while waiting for my room. But she also told me that there's no guarantee to get a room before 3pm the official check in time. Shortly after 3 and having completed my last meeting I tried again and was asked if I would possibly skip the upgrade I was already booked for to be able to check in then.. After the official check in time. The room was OK but had seen better days. Nespresso was provided with cheap clone capsules. Bed was great as usual in the Hilton group. Shower was OK but beyond 180 it's a bit gymnastic as well. Breakfast was good as well.

It's far from old vienna center but well worth taking the light rail back and forth from. The common areas were very clean and inviting. My room looked newly renovated with the exception of the carpet which has some noticeable staining. Aside from that, the bar area had great drinks, multiple elevator for shorter wait times, and the fitness center was very minimally nice. I didn't try the sauna but the hotel was beautifully designed.

Great hotel with clean rooms near Schonbrunn Palace. It’s a 5 minute walk to the closest trams, but note that most things in the immediate area close around 9PM (that may just be a Vienna thing though). Staff was great and let me store my luggage when my room wasn’t ready.

A nice hotel altough the room was very cold, the air conditioning could not be fixed due to lackage of personal so we were offered another room that was also cold and ended off with a radiator from the hotel to use in the room. We woke up with pain in the neck from the dry air coming from the radiator. This happened to us in other 4 star hotels this winter, at least it didn't felt completely like an igluu.

The staff needs way more training and especially better training on human interactions. The hotel itself is fine. What made my stay bad was solely from almost all employees I encountered. If all employees have attitude problems, it says a lot about the management at the same time. Feel free to contact me, I will tell you about my least favourite employee, that of the restaurant in the morning!

Typical Hilton hotel in the Schonbrunn district of Vienna. Spacious rooms, great breakfast area and restaurant with a decent selection of products to enjoy. There's also a small Gym that could be better if there were just a bit more equipment. Two saunas but definitely missing a small pool or jacuzzi. 12 minutes walking distance from any metro station.

This hotel is absolutely worth the money. Location is not central but very close to Schobrunn Palace. And there is a big nice park close to it. And tram, bus stop, and metro is just minutes away. It means you can go everywhere you want. The room is so big for europe. And it is very very nice. I think they are new. Thr soap and shampoo and body lotions are Crabtree and Evelyn..very nice smell..about the services, they have Klara from Slovakoa who is very beautiful and very nice to their customers. They should appreciate what Klara has been doing for their customers

Great location in Schönbrunn, close to the u-bahn, tram, schönbrunn palace, parks and with the tech museum literally next door. Hotel is clean and well maintained, I must say my room was really well maintained and spacious. Hotel breakfast came at an additional charge when I booked and was only £11 extra per night and that it was definitely worth with a buffet of decent standard and offering. I would stay here again.

We have just spent 4 days at this lovely hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The bar staff and reception staff very friendly. We ate in the restaurant 1 night during our stay but found the menu rather limited in choice. Even though the hotel is 5 km out of the city centre, it is easy to get around as a very short walk takes you to bus and tram stops. It is close to parks and within walking distance to Schonbrunn palace.

A relatively new hotel next to the museum. A bit far to the city center, but you can take a longer walk or ride subway .The Junior Suite is wonderful, spacious, with a beautiful terrace and a view. A super large bathtub :) Breakfast with a wide selection. There's an AC charger for your EVcar on the street next to the hotel, so you don't need to use underground parking which is a little bit pricey

I want to thank the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel and, most importantly, the entire staff for making my vacation in beautiful Vienna absolutely perfect. The hotel's ambiance exudes luxury, yet it manages to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are stunning, equipped with excellent air-conditioning, and feature blackout curtains for uninterrupted sleep - a truly delightful experience! I must commend the hotel's commitment to ecological practices, which is highly commendable. Additionally, the proximity to Schönbrunn Palace is a significant advantage. I'd like to extend a special thank you to the lady from Slovakia for her exceptional service.

The basic hotel room is amazing: big, modern and comfortable. Very pleasant! The only issue we had , just like other reviewers: on a Sunday morning, we first had an 8.30am knock from the room service, and 30 min later from the minibar service. None of it was requested and obviously not very welcome. As this seems to be a policy of the staff, it better be fixed soon. I complained at the reception

The service experience was extremely disappointing. On the first day, things were acceptable, but on the second day, I encountered an issue when my room card was suddenly blocked without my consent, leading to payment being put on hold. Ideally, they should have settled the payment either upfront or upon checkout. On the third day, during breakfast, I had an unpleasant encounter with a discourteous lady at the entrance. She not only denied us entry but also reacted rudely when I inquired about the reason, raising her voice and instructing us to visit the reception once more. In summary, my advice is to monitor the charges on your bank account closely, as there may be unexpected complications. Additionally, the staff's demeanor left much to be desired in terms of professionalism and friendliness.

Large and modern hotel, great location for the visit of the Schönbrunn and zoo. The suite was very large, spotlessly clean and had a huge balcony. The staff was very helpful. There is a big underground garage. We did not hear any noise from the neighbouring rooms. The breakfast was good enough, though the selection could be a bit larger. Overall, this was a great stay.

David at the front desk was so warm and friendly to me. He speaks English, Italian, German and Hungarian. He upgraded my room which had a nice quiet garden view and David gave me my robe and slippers for the sauna upon checking in. That way I wouldn't have to wait in line for them later on.

Spacious room. Nicely decorated. Staff were very helpful to us as tourists. They also arranged taxi to go to airport. Prompt and sincere service from all staff at the reception. Free chocolate chip cookies freshly baked for guests at check-in. Location is out of the center, but you can ride tram into the center with ease. It is 8 min walk to Schonbrunn Palace so you can visit the place or garden more than once. The palace garden is free to enter.

Nice hotel near the Palace and also the Tram lines. The hotel has a gym, cafe and bar area and also a shop which you can buy things 24/7 like food and drinks so that’s good. Rooms are modern and sound proofed

Very nice and clean hotel. The room was spacious and clean, equipped with everything you need. It's super close (10 min by foot) to the shonbrunn place. A bit out of the center tho, which makes it a bit long to get there with public transport, you can take an uber/bolt, it's gonna be around 12 euro. Price was average. Breakfast a bit too expensive, but it was good. Service was nice, we also got a welcome cookie. Recommended!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. On the first day, the receptionist Ahmad was very kind and he gave us a good price. Later on, the wifi wasnt working and the hotel staff didnt fix it. Also we wanted to call another hotel from the reception but it wasnt going through. I told the receptionist to let me use her mobile phone but she said its not allowed which was very disappointing.

Extremely negative experience which I was not expecting from Hilton (even though this is Double Tree, still it's Hilton Group). It's more than 2 weeks since we've sent an enquiry for a group of 20 people, for a reservation from the 15th till the 17th of September 2023 and already 3 follow-ups done by mail; today; the 22nd of May, I've called them and after a bit a hassle, I've managed to get a call back from the reservation department who has confirmed they had the mails / chasers, but as the reservation is only in September, that's not a priority for them and we would have received a reply in approximately 1 month or more. So, we sent a mail few weeks ago, but Hilton doesn't find it as a priority to ensure the prices are sent as this isn't a priority. So, when all prices are only going up the more you get closer to the travelling date, I'm wondering why customers should consider Hilton a priority when trying to find accommodation. Extremely disappointed to see zero customer service and no minimum principle of "first in, first out" or any SLA to reply to a customer query. I used Hilton in the past in different locations across the globe, but defo it's not going to be an option in the future.

Nice room this is my old hotel I stayed before now they change name from reddision to double tree. This one stars I gave because of after 2 days checkout they charge from my credit card 37 Euros . Even I paid everything before I check in one weeks before .

Nice, very busy hotel for very reasonable price for the stay. The place looks new, the stuff was very friendly and nice, I didn’t have any issues like the other commenters below. The breakfast was usual. There was nothing else I could say. I took away one star for the parking that doesn’t belong to hotel, and which is not cheap at all, as it counts hourly rate. That’s a bit too much in my mind. But other than that hotel is good, for one night - awesome.
