Wow. If you want to hear live jazz music, come here! We’re here now and listening to a, what, 13 piece ensemble. The place is small, so if you want an up close and personal experience, arrive early. We’re in the back, and it’s still great! We can hear the band just fine and can watch the drummer/ensemble leader doing his thing.

Never been to a Jazz Bar before but now I wish I did. Members of staff were so very friendly and welcoming, they made sure we felt comfortable and served us recommended drinks. If you haven’t had the Arseol (not sure if I spelt that right) Sour then I would recommend that. The musicians were amazing and so very talented. It was so great to see, enjoy the atmosphere and simply soak up the vibe. It did get very busy but that made our experience even better. If you’re around the area and looking for evening entertainment. Be sure to stop by as there’s an event every night, and be sure to have cash for the musicians and bar as they do not take card (or that they don’t accept card if you spend less than €20).

I didn't order food but somebody had a really tasty looking sandwich and beer. I'll try it next time. Regular jazz sessions with good sounds. Not too loud. Interesting announcements on the walls and various art on show. Photos of previous players. Recommend trying it. Very pleasant.

Absolutely incredible place. Host was excellent, helped my friend get down in her wheelchair, bought out "emergency seats" (empty bar kegs) when they ran out of chairs, and made sure we were comfortable and had a great time. The music was jaw-dropping, some of the best live performances I've seen; their Saturday quartet are musicians playing at their best. The prices for drinks were pretty good, their ham-and-cheese toasts were especially delicious to the point I had two servings, and their bartenders were friendly, attentive, and very professional. Definitely will go here again.

There is no bad seat in the house, because all the seats are so close to the stage and the sound fills the room. I was very lucky to see Bartus and friends, who had traveled from Bratislava for the evening, with the incomparable Ondrej Krajnak on piano. The tempest of modern jazz and intimations of Slovak folk music (?) was thrilling and certainly something I could not have experienced at Small's. The owner and bartenders were all lovely and extremely welcoming. My two visits to ZWE this week were the highlights of my trip to Vienna and all jazz afficionados should make this their #1 stop in Vienna.

This is an awesome tiny jazz bar. Good beer, great sound, and packed to the brim with people wanted to hear some excellent music. The night I went there it was Brazilian Groove Night. The band was epic, just a bunch a virtuosos playing tight rhythms combined with uplifting melodies. Sound again was crystal clear despite the small venue and the use of loud instruments like trumpet. Cover was 15€, well worth the cost for the quality is the show. I'm just taking away one star because it's so small, I really wish there had more room for main area with the stage!

I visited this lovely club in 2016 when I visited Wien for Snarky Puppy concert in WUK. This little gem was epic suprise to me. Very intimate, cozy atmosphere on that night I went to check the jam session. People playing is far from pretentious, and the crowd is relaxed. Very nice experience. Stuff and drinks is also to mention very nice. Cannot wait for another chance to have another good time. No.1 place to recommend.
