I really wanted to like this place, but pacing was terrible, it took 3.5 hours to complete 8 courses. It could have easily taken 4 hours if we didn't tell the waiter to rush the last 3 courses. Service was horrendous, wine and water glasses were constantly empty. When someone left the table, napkins were not folded. Strangely enough the table next to us had theirs folded when they got up from their table. Maybe we just had an awful waiter, but overall service was lackluster and I don't sense the staff wanting to give diners a magical experience. Temperature control was non-existent, the restaurant got so warm that diners started stripping down (ties, jackets and sweaters). A lady sitting by one of the doors actually opened it, and left it ajar as the place became very stuffy. Food was solid, but with such high temperature I lost my appetite. I don't understand how with such poor service they could keep their Michelin star. I dislike leaving negative reviews, but I was very disappointed and feel like someone needs to provide a "buyers beware" warning.

We booked for lunch and attended for my wife’s birthday. It is very rare to find a Michelin star vegetarian restaurant, a definite experience to try. The staff were all very kind, friendly and helpful with the menu. The decor was modern and chic, with plenty of space between tables. The presentation of the food was fantastic, each told a story relevant to what that dish was trying to highlight. The non-alcoholic pairings were fun and very different, would definitely recommend this. The ingredients were fresh, I would say it is a must try for the experience and quality, it is very expensive though.

Unforgettable dining experience at the Tian Restaurant in Vienna. Their set 8-course menu with optional accompanying drink selection offered a unique, complex and well thought through culinary journey through the world of vegetarian fine cuisine. 100% recommended.

I had the privilege of celebrating my birthday dinner at Tian in Vienna last week, and it was a truly unforgettable experience. The culinary artistry on display was exceptional, with every dish a masterpiece of flavors and creativity. The ambiance was elegant and sophisticated, setting the perfect stage for a special occasion. The staff's impeccable service added to the overall delight of the evening. Tian has undoubtedly earned its Michelin Star.

Unforgettable experience, amazing dishes, super stylish place. This was my first michelin star restaurant experience and it’s totally worth it. Be prepared to be hungry, since even 6 courses (their smallest) menu is extra fulfilling. Deserts were just out of this world.

Wow what an amazing experience! They really dove hard into the "forgotten vegetables" concept and served us lots of things we wouldn't normally eat and they did a good job making it special and tasty. The service was incredible, we befriended one of the waiters, and the ambiance was just right. Really great experience overall and I'd recommend this experience to anyone willing to shell the $$$ for it.

A trip to Vienna isn't complete without Tian. Even if you're not vegan or vegetarian, you'll be blown away by the restaurant's cooking, interior and beautiful atmosphere. Plus the team is extremely friendly and work in perfect harmony. In terms of food, I only came for the dessert. However on a second trip to the city, I would happily take their journey of eight courses comprised of quality produce and genius cooking. The pud in question was the chocolate dessert - Piura Blanco with Tomatoes It was full of flavour and had all the textures you hope to find in a well designed dessert. If you love chocolate this has your name on it.

always busy here dining hall is a bit noisy due to lack of sound damping interior and open design. but that's about it with critique: pretty convinced that it is the most elaborate and high end way to eat vegetarian. absolutely deserves the 1 Michelin star! most creative way to enjoy non alcoholic drinks pairing as well! Highly recommend to foodies as well as non vegetarian!

The word “exquisite” doesn’t even begin to do TIAN justice. The execution of their dishes is FLAWLESS. The flavors were complex and incredibly interesting. The textures were unexpected and unique. The service was unparalleled. I would recommend TIAN for vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters alike. Although the restaurant is fully vegetarian and vegan, there really is something for everyone. Absolutely delightful experience. We will be back next time we are in Vienna.

Nice ambiance with attentive staff, most of them are friendly. The meal had lots of variation with all different sorts of ingredients. I was able to have a vegan version which was nice. Loved the box of treats at the end with all sorts of creative sweet options. My only disappointment was the wine selection by the glass. They did not have a full bodied red and I had to settle for something I didn’t really enjoy.

We had the most amazing dining experience at Tian! The food was both innovative, modern and extremely tasty! Every single course was a masterpiece, both in taste and look. The service was excellent, friendly yet extremely professional. The wine selection was exciting and extremely well paired with the food. This is, without a doubt one of my best dining experiences ever.

Amazing experience! Very interesting wine pairings. Friendly and laid back yet very professional service. A bit drawn out timewise with the entire dinner lasting almost 5h. Definitely worth the money, the time and the trip to Vienna

I have read in previous reviews that someone was hungry after all courses in Tian restaurant…so after my experience yesterday, you will not leave hungry after dinner at all ;) The best meal I have ever had. Absolutely incredible from start to finish. Food, service and drinks were impeccable. TIAN restaurant is a complete package and an absolute must visit. Worth travelling to just for the experience.

I am by no means a vegetarian, so I was hesitant to come here. But after 8 courses of delicious and thoughtful creations, I was conceived that meat is not a necessity. Great staff and lovely atmosphere.

Incredible experience here. We had the 8-course tasting menu for my birthday and it was honestly some of the best food I've ever had. Every dish was unique and special, the service impeccable and they did a special extra dish for my birthday! Would highly recommend this place. Love that everything is vegetarian.

I visited TIAN, on a trip to Austria, a year ago and ordered the vegan 8 courses with the wine pairing. The flavors and the experience was out of this world amazing. I dream about going back there again.

Great service, very creative fine cuisine. However I found only couple of dishes to be really extraordinary tasty. Other. Were somewhat bland and too delicate in taste, in my opinion.

An absolutely amazing dining experience. The service was highly professional, friendly and attentive at all times but not intrusive. The waiters found just the right balance. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We had an 8 course meal and it was outstanding. The food was so creative and delicious. My highlights were the bread miso butter on delicious bread and their red beet creations. A foody experience to be remembered for a very long time.

Amazing and delicious course based vegetarian food. It’s like 9 plates plus 2 deserts. You can taste every single ingredient that is mentioned to you. I am a farmer at heart and I felt my heart singing to me when I tasted these fresh quality ingredients. It’s a great quantity of food and we felt very full by the end of it and it was me, my husband and our kid who shared plates with us. The staff is very friendly with great services. I would love to try their sister restraint that Is Michelin star and plant based next time.

My husband and I were visiting from London and he took me here for a surprise birthday lunch! Our diet is all vegetables and Halal poultry so we tend to eat vegan/vegetarian when we’re out or we find a halal restaurant. My husband has a passion for dining at Michelin star restaurants but we’re always so limited in what we can eat from them. Let me just say we LOVED the experience and ability to eat everything. We don’t drink alcohol but they also had a non alcohol drink pairing option with our 4&8 course meal. Highly recommend, pricey but great for a special occasion. the interiors are fantastic!

Tian proves how much a creative cook can do with "just" vegetables. Every course was an experience in itself. Add to this a friendly, professional service and a peaceful atmosphere et voilà! 👏🏼

We had dinner at Tian during the summer season, in the month of July. Food was good at the beginning but went downhill with the main course (and after). We were told that the wine pairing was supposed to be a surprise experience and hence, we could not review the selection in advance. We got 4 glasses of wine, of which two were OK and the other two quite bad - price per person was Eur 100 for the pairing only (not a good experience). While service was friendly, it does not correspond to standards in a fine dining restaurant - leaving food unfinished was a sign for (I quote) “Oh, you must be too full to finish”. Overall, super overpriced for the quality of food/ drinks and service provided. Would not recommend to visit.

Amazing vegetarian fine dining. Fantastic and friendly staff, unpretentious dining while still very high end Michelin starred experience. Light filled airy dining room exudes joy and calm. Each dish was perfection and we left feeling full and satisfied. My husband had the full 8 course and I had the 6 course, I opted out of the more dairy rich dishes. Incredible restaurant, would definitely come back.
