I didn’t trust the reviews that stated “best ramen in Vienna” at first, but I have to admit: I was dead wrong! The food was amazing and the atmosphere as well! I was lucky to sit directly at the counter and got a lot of recommendations by the chef. The place is crowded all the time, in case you don’t get a table right away try again half an hour later. They don’t take reservations.

Been there three times in my week in Vienna, everything is superb, from the front of house staff to the delicious food. The chefs will also sometimes serve you the food which is always a nice touch. I tried ALL the menu and there isn't a dish I wouldn't recommend. Hope to go a fourth time before I leave!

Came here today for dinner. There was already a queue to enter the shop. Waited for about half an hour before being seated. As the weather was cold the tonkotsu ramen and the curry ramen was good to warm the body. Both ramen were nice and flavorful. Together with the chicken kariage and gyoza we're fantastic. Worth standing in the cold and the queue.

I am a Japanese living in Munich. It is not easy to find good ramen in Munich, so I visited here to try it during my trip to Vienna. As a result, I had very good ramen, just like the ramen in Japan. It was a bit crowded on the weekend, but they came to take our order right away and served it quickly. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who lives abroad and misses Japanese ramen.

As an Asian who has eaten plenty of ramen back home, I will say that there are much better ramen out there. We decided to give this place a try after reading the ton of good reviews however the food just didn’t hit the spot. The broth of the Tonkatsu ramen was served at lukewarm temperature and I found the taste of the soup to be rather sweet with nodes of ginger. As someone who is more used to the rich and creamy Tonkatsu broth, this taste felt unfamiliar and unsatisfying. I also found the use of the yellow daikon to be quite random as they are more commonly served as appetisers in donburis instead of ramen. The food here needs some improvement but other that, the staff was friendly and the ambience was lively with hipster vibes and music.

One of the few places where you can actually enjoy your meal sitting at the counter, like in a traditional ramen-ya. And enjoy you will, as the ramen is heavenly flavourful, the ingredients top notch and the variety enough to satisfy most needs. Probably the best chashu I had to date. The appetisers are okay - the edamame were very nice, the gyoza fell a bit short. Desserts are simple and decent, though the overall experience is not cheap. Quick and very friendly service makes it worth it, however, and I’ll definitely come back for more ramen and a neat, authentic counter seat setting.

Great service, fast, and very very flavorful vegan ramen which is pretty rare, but very salty (and I love salt). I found it needed a bit more balance. (So I’d really give it a 4.5) We ordered some starters and they were definitely good but I’d say a tad on the pricier side for the portion/quality. Would I come back? For sure!

Arguably one of the best ramen shops I’ve tried in Europe. The tonkotsu is rich and on point, its chashu is at the perfect balance between bouncy and tender, with a smoky torched flavor. The half-boiled egg is also warm and yolky, unlike many other places. The karaage as a starter is also very tasty with a crispy outside and juicy inside. I’d totally come back to Vienna just for this place.

Went in 2019. Literally the best ramen if ever had. I still think about it. Make a reservation or be prepared to wait!!! 10/10 recommend. Really worth the price!!

Very tasty Ramen, although it’s a bit fashion (with takuwan which I’ve never seen in ramen before) but the soup, chashu and ni-tamago (soft egg) which is the soul of ramen did not change. It’s like a bar, simple but still very Japanese style. The Ramen with 4 pieces of fire grill chashu, black garlic oil which make the soup taste differently. And it’s very worthy to come and try.

Ramen time at an institution fave amongst Osterriches here.. overall rating 7/10.. at 16.5 euros and some tips, it converts to $27sgd making it one of the most expensive ramens in the world, best ramens in Japan costs around S$12-15, $15 in Singapore and $7 in Vietnam.. i would say.. not bad

A place run by a family it felt, just too good. The food was outstanding and there are little words to describe how good it was. The agedashi tofu and the mushroom ramen were delicious. It was one of the best I’ve had. Would have loved to go back if I could. Must MUST VISIT !!

Yes, you can pay by card. Always good to know in Vienna. Having said that, all dishes ordered were truly excellent. From the crunchy yet still very juicy Tori Karaage to the traditionally prepared gyoza. The ramen was amazing and deeply rich in flavor. The wait in line was only 10 minutes or so.

What a delightful, authentic, steamy, cozy ramen bar experience! Could not believe the cool vibe in the middle of the sleepy residential neighbourhood. Cocktail was nice, too. Some ramens may be on the heavier side - don't order too many other things is my advice. Worth the 25min queuing outside for sure

The food and atmosphere are great. It is easy to see why it is considered one of the best ramens in Vienna. Unfortunately, the lack of reservations makes it difficult to try unless you are committed to a 30-45 minute wait.

I ordered Wan Tan Ramen and a chocolate mousse. Each of two was excellently made and overall delicious. The service was good and the atmosphere both inside and outside was wonderful although inside was quite loud for me personally. Overall, I would highly recommend taking a ramen there.

Excellent taste and experience. The karaage is super juicy. The soup base is normal for tonkatsu and spicy chicken ramen, but it is one of the top taste in Vienna.

Best ramen we have ever eaten. Kind and helpful staff who speak English well. The restaurant is very atmospheric, the decor is impressive. Although we waited in line for a while, it was really worth it.

Hands down the best Ramen I've had in 10 years. If you are someone who like me doesn't want to miss a good ramen, then wait no more. I tried the Tonkotsu Ramen. The green beans and the ginger lemon drink were also amazing. Super friendly and attentive staff too.

Love the concept as a ramen bar where you literally sit in front of the kitchen. This means that you can watch the cooks prepare your meal. I also love the ambiance. It’s just so cute and warm!

Great place for lunch. In the vegan option, the dish is prepared in such a way that it will steal the heart of many carnivores. Great service, efficient service. 💜 I recommend it to anyone who appreciates good street food in Vienna. 🍜🥡🍡

Amazing ramen! I got the spicy chicken. Don’t be discouraged by the line up outside to get in. They move fast, and they know what they are doing. Busy and packed, but really cool experience. I’ll go back!

This is the best ramen I have had outside of Japan... by far. The broth is absolutely on par with some of the ones I have had in Japan. The pork was nice, the vegetables were tasteful and crunchy, the noodles thin and slighly chewy. Absolutely worth a visit. There is probably a line when you arrive but it moves quickly.

Good Ramen. One of the best I had in Europe. Taste similar to those I had in Japan and Hong Kong. The combination of thick pork broth and braised pork is delicious. Will definitely come again. Affordable price as well.

Authentic atmosphere, good service, reasonable prices. While waiting for a ramen with a Kirin in hand, mochi definitely brings back wonderful memories of Japan. Nevertheless, the ramen is not overly traditional. Very tasty entrées, great ramen toppings. Comparably weak broth, unfortunately shio, shoyu and miso. Missed the aroma oil too. Great 🍜 for Vienna, still no 5 star Ramen. Curious for Japanese reviews!

The atmosphere is nice, The dragon roll maki are very delicious The pinapuru desert is also very delicious But i was disappointed by the karaage - its delicious but not the best i have eaten in vienna and the portion is really small and very expensive for what you get (~5 pieces for about 11-12€ ) Tea is very small too but refil is possible We paid about 60€\2 people

I tried the restaurant upon seeing a good review and photo from a reddit thread. I got lucky to not wait to get seated on a Friday afternoon and the food didn’t take long to arrive. Tonkotsu ramen and agedashi tofu were both excellent. Aside from dine in options, they also offer a “take home”/“do it yourself” ramen kit - quite useful during these times.

Good ambience, fresh ramen, quite close to original ramen (i could comment only for tonkatsu ramen). They offer sake as well, which made from fermented sticky rice. Waiters are very welcome. Covid 19 protocols are applied (very good). I recommend to all of you who love ramen to come to Mochi Ramen Bar 👍. Mochi Ramen Bar Banzai!Banzai! Banzaii!

Was quite nice. Taste is really good, probably the best Ramen I had in Austria but portions are quite small. Also, tables are too small. Just feels really crowded and waiting time was almost unacceptably long. Quite pricey. Won't come again

Who is interested in ramen 🍜? When you live in Vienna and are a fan of Japanese cuisine, you must be familiar with a Japanese restaurant named MOCHI. We visited their @mochi_ramen_bar a few days ago, it is also excellent! 🥳 We are now totally big fans of their cuisine. Not only their Sushi 🍣 but also their ramens are quite to our taste. 😋🥰 And when you get there, you will know how popular they are in Vienna. Always stuffed with people😆✌️✌🏽✌🏻

Super delicious and authentic Japanese Ramen! The Fried chicken is the Most recommended and you should for sure not miss it. The homemade roasted pork and dumpling is super Well- made and the ramen is amazing in general. It is the best ramen restaurant I’ve ever been in the whole Austria!

Welcoming restaurant with attentive and friendly staff. Open layout restaurant with a view of the kitchen. • House Iced Tea was very refreshing lemon tea which is perfect for summer heat. • Gyoza were very tasty and served with soy sauce to dip. For me the price was a little expensive for 3 pieces. • Tonkotsu Ramen had a very rich broth (slightly salty for my taste, but would suit a lot of peoples tastebuds), toppings were great (especially the egg! It was my favourite part) and the meat was excellent! I think the Daikon radish would be better served as a little side dish for palate cleansing/digestion and not inside the ramen. Overall really tasty dish, great portioning that’s enough to leave you very satisfied. Thanks for the great meal!

Small restaurant that serves excellent ramen. Tonkotsu had full and creamy broth. Definitely stop by if you are around or you just crave something comforting and hearty. Just come earlier because place is usually packed.

Really good ramen, the food was really nice and the ambiance too. The place is small but the turn over of people is fast, we did not have to wait long, we sat at the bar, and i will repeat for sure. The prices for these ramens was 14.50 each.

This place was on my list for some time now, and very happy I finally got to it! It was very busy, so we had to wait a bit before we could take a seat inside. The service was very friendly, and the ramen was delicious! Not too heavy, but great taste, With decent amount of noodles and toppings. A bit expensive though. We got free tap water, which is always an extra deserved star. The egg was cooked to ramen perfection, and most of all: also soya-soaked to perfection! The appetizer we ordered tasted delicious! But too expensive for the price. Same with the one mochi we ordered as desert. I'll definitely visit again though!

Wow!!! The best Ramen I had in Europe so far. Maybe the best ever! All works great, special ambience, laid back service and the food is just amazing. I will come back.

If you like Ramen (or even if you don’t) and a nice atmosphere you’ll love Mochi Ramen Bar. We arrived without a booking and only waited 10-15 minutes for a table (had the option of taking the bar but decided we wanted a table for the 3 of us). A traditional menu with some amazing chefs specials. If you are in the area or not this is worth a trip to. Enjoy the amazing food and great atmosphere. Thanks for a great experience.
