If you prefer servers who are respectful not rude, accurate food descriptions and not being charged for water, you will definitely want to avoid this restaurant. I travel all over and have never had a server as rude as we had in this hotel’s restaurant. The manager told us what we were being served was chicken, and it was pork. Our water was supposed to be included in our meal and the server, even after being corrected by the manager, argued, saying to me “you wanna get. Come with me.” After dinner, he even followed me to the elevator to ask who was going to pay, after which the manager had to intervene again. While the responder to this review said this didn’t occur, there are a whole lot of people, including those in the elevator that would affirm what I’ve said happened. I do not know if there was confusion with the travel agent about whether or not water was included, but that does not excuse the rudeness that I experienced. That is uncalled for. Customer service, people. It goes a long way. The rooms are nice size, but void of plugs for charging electronics or plugs by the bed or desk. All in all disappointing.

One of the worst hotels that i have been there The service is soo bad and their behavior They were rude with Arabic people I don’t know why ?!! No parking there and you have to pay 49€ for one night! And when we checked in we ask for a luggage car they told us that they have only one ?! How they are a 5 stars hotel ? And you can’t order any thing at your room after 10 pm even a soft drink !? This is my last time in this hotel ! They don’t deserve even a one star

Good price and great breakfast with good variety of breads, cereal, ham and fruits. Public transports available to city centre. If have room service every second day than every day, to save environment, you’ll receive a voucher for free drink for those skipped days per person. It’s a good thing. Hotel doesn’t have car parking and car park is a big issue in Vienna. They offered a garage which was about €40 per night which was more than the price of car rental :)) Kind staff and very polite room service staff. Flies can be spotted and once in my wife’s drink, the kind bartender changed it. Dining in hotel is quite expensive and limited menu, so local restaurants are preferred. We stayed for 6 nights and were happy.

Comfortable hotel at 5 minute walk from the Vienna International Center (see photos). Everything is fine, good breakfast and services. The WiFi connection is slow. I post a few shots from the outside and from a 16th floor room.

The employees at check-in were a bit rude and not welcoming. The hotel is very close to the metro station and grocery store. The airport bus stops right outside of the hotel. The location is good if you don't want to stay in the city center, but still want to be connected to the city and airport. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The furniture and carpet are outdated.

Stayed here for 2 days and first thing that I noticed as soon as I entered the room was the lights wasn’t as bright as I expected, some parts of the room had lamps but with limited voltage bulbs. Second the hotel is very very old so everything seems dated and feels unclean, for eg. The bedside table had stain marks and it was sticky. The toilet seat was yellow and not properly cleaned. Towels were old again and same with the carpet it’s a bright blue color tha looks old and odd. lastly the cupboards and other furniture used in the room are very basic design and quality you don’t feel like living in a 4 star hotel at all. I expected better out of nH hotels.

Do not have dinner here. Really, it’s expensive, the service is rude, and the food is really bad. I had a crease salad with dried up capers and ingredients missing. The plates were taken from the table without asking and when we were basically still eating. The rooms are ok-ish, however my bathtub was slowly draining and outside of the hotel it smells like sewage. Breakfast is fine though.

Unfortunately not as expected of a four-star hotel. When we first came in, the way the that the lobby looked and the personnel behind the main desk made me feel like we made the right choice for our stay but was quite soon disappointed. I can ignore the stained carpet, dirty sink, clear presence of dust in many spots and maybe even the black mold spots in the bathroom but what I cannot overlook or accept are the following three things: - some sort of bedbugs or something that bit us and the children - the attitude of one of the bartenders whom I asked if milkshakes are available in the menu and he scoffed and laught at me - at the breakfast buffet there were flies in the apple vinegar and when I informed the young man behind the counter he just shrug his shoulders until I insisted for him to take the bottle away The only reason I don't give less stars and I choose to not make a formal complaint is the personnel at the front desk that was very helpful and well mannered. Apart from that... not a four-star hotel

I really enjoyed my stay there. Good location close to U1 metro and walking distance to the Donauinsel area. Booked a double super room with a breathtaking view. Breakfast was delicious. The only downside was that someone by mistake coded the room cards for 3 nights instead of 4 that I booked and I had to wait in the queue to the reception. Maybe a bit more people could work at the reception cause there were always people waiting. Otherwise all was great.

Rooms are ok. No outlets near the bed unless you unplug the lamps. At the restaurant, we had lots of issues with the food and the staff were rude and very confused on what they were doing. Despite having a set menu (we were part of a larger group) there was a lot of confusion around what was on the menu. We ordered chicken, but we got pork which is not fully cooked. They kept trying to charge us for drinks which were supposed to be included in our meals. It was addressed several times with the management and yet the server still asking us to pay. More communication is needed between management and staff. In response to your comment, Judith, the manager gave us the choice to order of chicken and rice or pasta with tomatoes and we were served pork with pumpkin chutney and the pasta also had pumpkin chutney on top of it. Not something that is normally served on top of pasta. The manager also confirmed that drinks were part of the contract. It was one particular waiter that even after being told multiple times couldn’t get it through his head that the drinks were included. So there seems to be some major communication problems between the staff, and potentially between the hotel and headquarters. So you can take the feedback and fix the problem or you can ignore it and continue to get bad reviews. Totally your call!

+ Very clean and spacious rooms. + Kind and supportive staff, - but one needs to wait for ca. 5 minutes each time, to find any receptionist at the reception. + Located very close to the U1 station, - but the hotel is ca. 20 minutes away from the city center (e.g. Stephansdom). --- Breakfast costs more than 20 € p. P. The tablets of cheese & co. are empty most of the time. The food assortment is far-far away from a 4* hotel standard.

Simple business hotel near Vienna International Center (V.I.C.) or UN buildings. The room is spacious with good view, nothing to complain about. The tone in the room is wooden brown tone. There is a fitness on the 3rd floor. Complimentary water is given. I would like to commend the bartender 'ramtin,' who is super friendly and amiable during my 6-night stay. That makes a difference for me, to say the least. During the stay, there was a campaign in which drink vouchers are given for each day of no-cleaning request.

In general the hotel is nice and good for stay, and I enjoyed it. The less enjoyable were: 1. I couldn't receive a room with a double bed, only twin beds. 2. The shower head was broken and difficult to use. 3. The location of food and drinks for breakfast is strange, and I found it inconvenient.

We had an event there and the service was terrible. If you are looking for a business event or conference space, this is not the place. The amenities also need a complete update and the hotel is far from the city centre. Wifi in the guest rooms was terrible, sending a simple email takes hours, so working is almost impossible. We spoke to the manager but to our surprise, instead of being apologetic, he confronted us and never apologized. Our attendees were shocked. We were shocked. Never again.

Clean, functional with OK service Gym is so small, you can’t have more than two people at the same time Room service menu needs more main courses, there is only one option… schnitzel

Stayed there on a business trip and will again later in October. The rooms were a good size, and clean, and service while checking in and in the restaurant, bar, and breakfast room was also good.

Pro: - great value - friendly staff (night desk lady was super friendly, so was the restaurant staff for breakfast) - walking distance to U1 station. Fast connection to innere Stadt (Downtown) - clean and quite - free parking on the street on weekends. Parking can be quite expensive in Vienna. This location is not as crazy. - save location. Walked at night and felt at least save. Con: - furniture is a little outdated. But rooms are very clean - no microwave in rooms or common area. Front desk staff heated up food for us, but it would be good to have a microwave available at least in some common area - technology in rooms is outdated. No smart TV. Unable to cast your own stuff to the TV or use your own Netflix. Also no USB ports to charge, so being your own adapters

Nice hôtel ... I was there for international marketing meeting in June 2023 But be careful at the end of the meeting with collègues we asked for 2 taxis to go to the aéroport. Arriving at the aéroport the chauffeurs not speaking english did not want us to pay by crédit card ... just cash for 2x70€ i am sure they use some one else licence and the hotel is aware of this traffic very disapointing

Rooms a bit outdated but clean. Service is good as well the breakfast. Well connected to the city center. Overall I would recommend it. Some good restaurants in the area.

Really bad experience. We arrived with a big group and only half of the keys were ready. Food at the restaurant was imposible to eat, their own waiters recommend us not to eat the soup and the menu didn’t have the options we order and it was a 2 dish menu. Even the manager ask us to write this review so things would change because of the bad organization of the restaurant.

Stayed at this hotel, the rooms were dirty. Liquid dripping down the side of the end tables. Bathroom was not clean. Our group arrived around 9 pm after spending the day touring Germany and then into Vienna, our room keys were not ready and were missing several keys. Our group had a dinner reservation. HORRIBLE! I think they forgot about us. The chicken with rice came out as raw pork with potatoes and some squash concoction. The pasta with tomatoes came out as Gnocchi with the same squash concoction. The vegetable soup was grainy puréed peas. The wait staff was extremely rude. Water and sodas were included yet they charged us. Even when the manager told the waiter he said oh well I already charged you. Refused to refund. One of the waiters, who I think was higher than a kite, followed our Director to the elevator demanding payment. Our travel company was with us and kept advocating for what our contract included yet they still fought us on everything. Do not recommend this hotel for groups, individuals, etc. Horrific service. I have never been treated so horribly. Others in our group have written reviews and the responses from the hotel have been lies and no apologies.

Would not come back here. First off, a lot of the information the hotel is providing in response to reviews by members of my same group is incorrect and frankly the tone of the response is as rude as the waitstaff. We arrived at the location well into the afternoon, after 5pm. Not at noon as their response suggested. Very disappointed that one waiter came to our tables and said, “chicken and rice or pasta with tomato sauce?” only for us to be brought undercooked pork with some sort of squash sauce or pasta with that same squash sauce. Not what we ordered, and raw for a lot of us. Rooms are HOT, unbearable even with a window open and it being 40 degrees outside. Rust can be found in the bathtub, quite unpleasant.

Dinner for a group work trip was horrible. Dinner was not what we ordered nd the waiter was beyond rude. There are not enough plugs and no usbs in the rooms. Disappointed My interaction it’s the front desk was wonderful.

5 min away from a metro station. Really clean and comfortable rooms (excellent mattress!). Excellent breakfast! Point for improvement: restaurant at the hotel is not good, overpriced, poor service and poor food.

  • 3/5 Grace S. 1 year ago on Google
Business trip.... A little overpriced for what it is. Breakfast the hot buffet it is pretty much horrible and obviously as everything in Vienna it is overpriced in reality. Very small selection and taking long to top up the hot food. Nice cakes but it is pretty much it and cakes for breakfast not European priority. Room just ok a bit outdated though.

Not bad. But the bar only open until 22h, nothing for snack until 18h (but no mention of it (or well hidden)), 45 minutes for bruscettas,...

This hotel is located in the city which makes it ideal. I was able to walk to Westfield Donau mall in about 20 minutes or so. The tram stop isn't far away either and you can go to the city centre. I was attending a meeting at the Vienna International Centre and I walked there in about 10 minutes. The interior of the hotel is very clean and inviting. The rooms are comfortable and the staff was efficient and friendly. Breakfast can be added on for about 18 Euros. I will stay there if I return again.

Always a pleasure at NH Donau, specially traveling all day and finally getting into your room to find a gift from the general manager. It's the little things that can brighten up your day and make traveling for work a not so bad. Thank you Dominic and the NH team 😀

The hotel is fine, clean and decent, even if it is on a highway. But why do they have a "greenreward", a leaflet you can hang on your door to ask for the environment to skip your room for being clened, and promise in return a drink at the bar. I stayed three night, hung the flyer, notified the reception 3 times and no drink? I dont care for the drink, but dont be so skimpy.

just no🤣. gross stains everywhere, no slippers. dirty dirty rooms, glasses smelled like fish, ugly old furniture. safe to say i’ll never come back comparing to NH in budapest this was a disgrace. overall unpleasant stay. the reception told us its ok to park on the street but our car got towed away we asked him 100 times is it ok to park he said yes yes. cost us 270€ to get the car back :)oh did i mention they dont even have their own parking??!!!! wish i could zero stars :)) one is more than they deserve

You have to pay for wifi and you will figure out that paid wifi is same as free = bad as well. Parking 100 Eur for 2 days was other "over-standard". Hotel is not in center so you will have to think how you will travel in the city. Next time I will look for other hotel.

  • 3/5 A K. 2 years ago on Google
There is NO sound insulation. I could hear every step of anyone, who was in a hall or in a room, and every word of neighbours from other rooms. Room wasn't clean enough and it was too old. There were spots on walls and on a carpet, mirror was dirty and in dust. The lamps were also in dust and LOTS of spots on them. The bed is too narrow for two people. The only things, which was good, are the price, location and the receptionists, who spoke English perfectly and understandable

Very good hotel. Quiet, clean, and service is OK. Breakfast is excellent. Few remarks : wifi is much too slow, and the restaurant could be better. The restaurant service is not pleasant. Otherwise nice place close to subway.
