Beautiful location in the Schottenstift. Located within easy walking distance to bus/subway stops, this quiet accommodation allowed us to relax at the end of each day without the normal noise/hustle of other city locations. An excellent experience overall. Staff was friendly and gave a couple of nice recommendations for restaurants in different parts of the city. The elevator is small, but really fun! The room was clean and well kept, and the breakfast was satisfying. Be advised that since this is in an older building, they don’t have central air conditioning. The room was furnished with a fan that will keep the room cool enough (we needed it since we were there during the heat wave).

The room was good and the beds were soft. The staff was very nice to us, we could ask them everything and they helped us very well. The location of Benediktushouse is amazing, right besides a church in the inner stadt. Had a great time here, I would definitely recommend it.

Staying here was a wonderful experience. The rooms were lovely, breakfast was included, and the location was great for sightseeing. The service was very friendly - on the last day of our stay, we had an early morning flight that left before breakfast, so they sent some fruit to our room so that we could have a quick breakfast that morning. Overall, the experience was very very good, and I would definitely recommend staying here.

I stayed here for two weeks and it's a pretty good place. The location is excellent, the rooms are fine, the Wi-Fi is good and the place looks very nice. The downsides are the loud church bells in the morning and the air conditioning, which isn't exist (so I wouldn't recommend staying here at summer time). Also, they have at the reception few drinks you can take and pay on your own, which is nice.

It’s one of the best placs I have ever stayed in and highly recommended Although I’m Muslim but it was so great experience to live in a place full of faithful Christian people It reminds me with my Christian school when I was young To go inside the room to see simple old furniture with cross hanging on the wall and you see the Bible on the desk I felt wonderful and totally safe in my travels Thank for those who made us happy in two days with wonderful breakfast and vibes especially Lisa who helped me to make little surprise for my husband ❤️❤️

Due to late arrival on Sunday afternoo, no one around to greet us.... However, we found the key and room easily enough.... Room had a nice view of the monastery courtyard... Comfortable beds - a good night's sleep!

Perfect location, easy walk to public transportation. Clean & comfortable room. After a busy day of touring, we enjoyed the peace & quiet of the monastery guest house - the only interruption being the lovely sound of church bells. Breakfast provided a wide variety & was delicious. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Would highly recommend!!

cobblestone streets make it difficult if pulling rolling luggage from subway station, especially from Stephansplatz, which is 1/2 mile (650 m)

My wife and I stay at the Benediktushaus when we are in Vienna. We appreciate its simplicity, its tranquility, its small size. There is no TV, but the internet is more than adequate. It is very central and has a parking garage just below it, and has good public transportation connections. The staff has always been very helpful on all of our questions.

We spent four nights at Benedictushaus this summer. The staff is friendly and efficient, the rooms clean and roomy, and the location is excellent, in the old town near public transportation. The beds were quite hard and uncomfortable (my back hurt each day). The room opened to a quiet inner courtyard, which was nice, but the lack of air conditioning and cross breeze made the rooms rather warm at night.

Lovely hotel. Clean, well maintained. Courteous staff, most of whom spoke excellent English. Healthy and hearty breakfast spread. Beautiful church bells started ringing at 6am, so no sleeping in!

In June, my wife and I stayed four nights and when we visit Vienna again we would choose Benediktushaus again! I also stayed here a few years ago and wouldn't have bothered even considering another place. It's the same great place and definitely not your typical hotel experience but one of old Vienna charm. There is no better location! And such helpful staff and superb breakfast buffet.

This proved the perfect base from which to explore the city--with everything in the inner city in easy walking distance and major transportation hubs just a few minutes away for access further afield. Breakfast buffet is more than adequate to start the day, and the whole facility was welcoming and well-maintained. Lack of TV was a bonus, and inconsequential since the wifi service was perfectly reliable (perhaps not true in all rooms, according to the facility itself). All in all, a great place to stay in the historic heart of Vienna, and with a price/quality ratio that would be hard to beat for its location.

Benediktushaus is a fantastic stay. In the heart of Vienna, you will find yourself in a quiet sanctuary. The staff there are extremely pleasant and helpful. I love the bell ring every morning (morning person here). I stayed at one of the single bed rooms which kept the mission style but have visited some of the other rooms which are modernized in a pretty and functional way (looks much more like a hotel). I would come back and stay in a heartbeat!

A very pleasant place to stay. You feel at home while experiencing at the same time its history and culture. Ideally placed to visit Vienna. Large and comfortable room, extremely clean. Very good and rich breakfast. Thank you all for your kind welcome.

Fantastic location and perfectly clean and modern room (but don't expect a tv!). We arrived outside of normal reception time so not greeted by any staff (which felt a little impersonal) but straight forward instructions to gain entry and key. Very quiet inspite of being right in the centre of a capital. Can recommend for atmosphere.

Central, safe, clean and serine. Breakfast was perfect. Front desk was very friendly and informative when asked questions. The atmosphere really resonated with me.
