Quirky and interesting art pieces. Building is usually quiet and spacious and very cool on hot days unlike the main palace. We spent just over 2 hrs in there making our own interpretations of the art and honesty had the best time ever. Some of art is very phallic oriented so just a heads up. Definitely worth the €10.50 ticket price. Lockers and bathroom are very clean and tidy. Cafe is standard Wein prices but looks very nice (we never ate inside)

Having a few hours of layover at the train station, I really enjoyed visiting Belvedere 21! The exhibition itself is sometimes profound, sometimes absurd, and mostly borderline shitposting and I can vibe with it. I couldn’t say I explored everything, but I had a really great time! Staff are nice and vibes are chill. Will recommend to people who enjoy modern art, shitposting and revolutions. 4.5/5 rounding up to 5/5, the 0.5 off was due to my slight disappointment that it’s not actually a museum of revolution

Personally, I don't think it's worth the single-ticket (~€9) but the 3 Belvedere combined-ticket (~€25) was the better option. This is an interesting museum packed with modern art. It definitely won't be to everyone's taste. There are multiple floors to visit and the artwork bring displayed changes regularly. Their website is well maintained so you can check it out before visiting for more information about the active expositions. The staff was very friendly and there's also a cafe and small shop now set up near the entrance. There's a large locker room as well, so you can leave your jackets and whatnot without worry.

It's modern art. You either like it or you don't. If you think to yourself: "you know what would make a great art piece? A jar of pickles." Then you are in the right place

The café was so good I didn’t go into the galleries. Also excellent architecture opposite which was great for drawing while I enjoyed a very long breakfast. By the way, it’s worth visiting just to see the lampshades.

Somehow this modern art doesn't appeal to me... something smeared on the canvas, as the author was drunk, without any care. And let's look at the masterpieces of Masters such as Botticelli, Ghirlandaio, Michelangelo, Da Vinci or Vasari... this is art with heart put into it... unfortunately, nowadays art has become kitsch and no one will paint such masterpieces... now definitely graffiti is an art similar to what it was centuries ago! These people have a wonderful talent for painting!

I would say it’s worth the visit if you really like (or want to explore) contemporary art. Place is not that big. You could do the whole tour in 30 mins to 2 hours. There are permanent and temporary exhibitions.

I love art. I love modern art. But this is not art. It’s mostly empty space with self-indulgent conceits. It’s worse than large clothes pins. Much worse. If you don’t believe me, go! It won’t be the biggest waste of time in your life.

A useless exhibition without reason of being....this is not art...sorry... The only consolation is the high aisthetic bar inside the building and the polite and friendly stuff

This art exhibition is not for everyone, one must be really into this kind of modern art.

I had tickets for all three Belvedere art museums. I did this one last. The collection was interesting - with an exhibit of video art downstairs then the standing collection in the main venue space upstairs. The main collection was good, with a couple of outstanding pieces. Overall I think that this was worth adding to the ticket with the other two Belvedere venues as the collection segued nicely from the modernist pieces in the Lower and Upper Belvedere galleries.

Nice place if you're into that type of art. Security guard was very paranoid by our skin color apparently. He was giving us quite the attention and unbreakable gaze for our whole visit.

My first impression from the place was that there were no visitors and that seemed very strange to me. When I got inside and saw the 'exhibitions' I understood why. The exhibitions are very poor. You pay 8€ for 1big room with very poor variety of installations and there is also 1 small room with 'unusual' furniture. That's all. At the begining I also asked for a discount ticket for 6€ because I am under 26 but since I am not a student they couldn't make a compromise which is not very hostile. Poor museum and unkind people.

The Belvedere 21 museum is a place for contemporary art lovers, but not for me. I found the exhibits to be too abstract, too experimental, and too incomprehensible. The museum is housed in a former air-raid shelter, which gives it a cold and austere vibe. The staff was not very helpful or friendly, and the admission fee was too high for what it offered. The only thing I enjoyed was the view of the Belvedere Palace from the terrace. I would not recommend this museum to anyone who is looking for a more traditional or accessible art experience.

Smaller cousin of its more famous Belvedere cousins, this modern-art focussed gallery is quite a different space to the others. Very open and spacious, with much less visitation than the others. Modern art is very subjective of course - I found the exhibitions interesting, if not exactly my cup of tea.

Happy to see différents kinds of arts ! There is a nice restaurant where you can have a drink when you finish The ticket is less price if you take it on the site web

Overrated. Great space but poorly managed. Hard to make a case for what they were curating today 8/15/21. Enjoy the restrooms and the bar and you’ve made most of what you can get here.

Museum for contemporary art, only visit if you are interested in that kind of art.

A super gallery, currently with young local artists and such delightful mix of talents

Architecturally iconic structure, with changing exhibitions of modern art on two floors and a permanent exhibition on the upper floor, plus a small sculpture garden that is free to enter. A movie theater, library and a bar/restaurant are also present.

This was incredibly weird and unreal - exactly what I was looking for in a modern art gallery. The space itself feels like an art piece, and as for the art inside - there isn't any sort of barrier between it and you and so kind of become a part of it. It's super engaging and wonderfully ridiculous. The staff were very friendly too!

Beautifull space. Reception with some issues. Staff coudn't inform properly about ticketing/access to the expositions. Design for the bar to have a drink enexpectedly fancy for a museum.

Not my cup of tea. Some people might enjoy this, but we didn't. Staff was not very friendly or helpful either

When we were there, they had only one collection upstairs. Nice enough art, but not worth the hike from the Upper Belvedere. The Cafe was great, though! Calm and very contemporary with excellent iced coffee.

Not sure why some people are putting misleading information here, claiming admission Is free. The price currently is 10.5 Euro if you don't buy your ticket online.

Very nice museum. The current exhibition (from September 21 to February 22) is really worth it. The building is beautiful and worth a visit anyways. Little extra: very friendly staff! If you are a guest at Andaz hotel, admission is for free!

Nice museum if you like contemporary art. The pieces can be weird for some. If you get the combined ticket for the belvedere palace, it's a nice price. There are paintings, statues, short films, and many other forms of art pieces

If you love architecture or contemporary art this museum (which is part of the Belvedere) is a place worth visiting. The setup of the building and the small sculpture garden always gives me joy, but of course also the frequently changing exhibitions are a great reason to visit.

Fantastic museum if you're avant garde Modern art. It is about 1/3 of a mile from the belvedere but a fantastic collection nonetheless. Was very impressed by the collection and I think it had three temporary exhibitions. Definitely worth 8.90 euros.

What an interesting addition to a tour of the Belvedere palaces. Bought a package to include all three museumsand so glad we did not miss this. Totally contemporary and forward thinking. Carefully and thoughtfully curated. The lobby offers comfort, information and water/coffee. I could have spent a lot more time here than I had allotted. It was interesting seeing this side of Vienna.

We took a tour of all Belvederes and this one was so crazy :) but I like it. Excellent exhibitions.

No wonder it was very quiet here in the middle of summer holidays. There was no explanatory text for any of the rooms or individual works. They are just placed in the gallery with name, artist, materials. This makes it hard for the average tourist to understand anything about the artist, style, movement. Do not go unless you are an expert in the style or have nothing else to do in Vienna (which could not be true). I would recommend MUMOk instead as they explain and contextualise their works.

It is a nice building to walk around but do not worry if you miss the exhibition. It is just a contemporary art.
