Very good food, but be ready to channel your inner hipster, though. Situated right in bobovill, it is not unexpected to come across the odd art students that call this place home. That comes with some perks like plenty of vegan options and plenty of people watching, but it also means that prices are somewhat elevated and the waiters are a bit weird. Nevertheless, it was a good experience that set us (drinks and dessert included) back 45€.

Great place. It is nicely ornamented and cozy, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The chicken summer rolls were nice. The bun cha was far superior to other restaurants in the city center (it was pretty big and it has a separate dipping bowl, just like in Hanoi) and had two big beef skewers that were tasty. I would maybe prefer to have big lettuce leaves instead rather than shredded salad. My only criticism is that the salad was a bit oxidized but hey, a) it's sunday and i much rather eat it than have it go to waste b) it is covid and it is hard to calculate stocks of ultra fresh produce and c) the price was quite reasonable anyway. Will probably come back to try more stuff 🙂

Good food and cozy atmosphere! Best Vietnamese restaurant I’ve been to in Vienna. The prices are reasonable too. Definitely going back when I’m craving Vietnamese food again!

We had lunch and it was good food, the beef pho could have been better tho, there was not a lot of flavour for me and I love putting lime on it but the lime provided was almost completely dried out. The mango curry tho was really tasty. The papaya salad is not good, the sprouts taste very bitter.

Great price-quality ratio, very friendly staff, a lot of vegetarian options. The spring rolls could have been less fatty, however the mean courses were delicious. We also liked the decorations inside :)

Amazing seitan and fantastic food overall! 10/10 would recommend, especially for vegetarians and vegans. Some of the best south east Asian food we've had in Vienna!

We enjoyed the food and a friendly service. Starters Springrolls and Sommerrolls were fantastic. For main dish I had a Duck Mango-Curry and it was delishious! There is a small terasse outside with a few tables to enjoy a fresh air. I will definetelly come again and will recommend this place to visit.

I’ve been maybe three times now and every time the food is super tasty and the Vietnamese coffee is so yummy and something different for me. The wait staff are always really lovely and patient and service is fast. Also super happy that it’s only 10 mins walk from my home!

This was the best Asian food I’ve had in a long time. Me and my gf had a peanut tofu bowl, and my god, it was amazing. The food was plated well, the flavors were absolutely delicious, and the different textures compliment everything. We also had the lemon grass lemonade and I highly recommend it for an interesting and refreshing drink.

I've been a "regular" at Xin Chao since the restaurant opened in 2015, and I continue to return about once a month. I discovered fried seitan with vegetables as an excellent alternative to the meaty dishes on the menu, and this has since become my favourite. The service is prompt, the owner is very friendly and the restaurant also offers take-away. A strong recommendation for Vietnamese food in Vienna.

Had lunch there, was not busy at all on a Sunday. I had pho, was really happy with it, the red chilli is really spicy tho 🤣 The only downside is I would loved some more food in my pho (maybe I just have a big appetite). Otherwise, a good place with good food.

Very nice neighborhood-Vietnamese. There are many interesting things in the menu, but I keep ordering the classics off the first page, because they're simply that good. Keep it up.

Excellent food, with lively flavors and high quality ingredients. I was very (pleasantly) surprised by the vegetarian dishes too, both in the selection and flavor and quality, especially the seitan - and I'm a meat-eater! The satay sauce is amazing. Lovely interior as well. I ate all the food before I could take a picture, it was so good.

So far the BEST Vietnamese place I have been to in Vienna. Service is really friendly and the food tastes fresh and well-rounded. Only small critique is that it would be great of thwy also provided some fresh herbs like cilantro and maybe some lemon to thw servings.

Good food, nice service, they have many vegetarian options. You can sit outside and inside. The taste of the dishes is very similar to the ones from Vietnam. But unfortunately for me the dishes were definitely not enough seasoned. Salt and other spices were missing.

Meal was very good. Service is unexpectedly poor, as well as no menu in English.

Always fresh always good. Recommend even for tourists after heavy Austrian dishes.

This was probably some of the best Vietnamese food i’ve ever had in my life! It was soooo tasty! That crispy duck mango curry was incredible! Would recommend definitely :-)

Today, I went to the restaurant with my wife. Menus were brought to us. Then, I called the waiter "Excuse me" for two times. He came to the table after 2-3 mins and asked our orders rudely. We told our orders and asked for his recommendation about red wine. He again rudely said "I do not drink wine". It was the worst restaurant experience ever. We directly went out the restaurant. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Our first visit. Booked last minute. Casual. Super friendly staff, all the vegetarian food is also vegan. I had vegan summer rolls and the pho soup with veggies and tofu, super yummy. My husband is omni, he had spring rolls and rice noodles with duck, he was also very happy. Oh and rice balls in coconut milk for dessert and he loved them.

Very friendly staffs, very welcoming even when it was quiet late. After long traveled and bus delayed, it really warmed you up to have a bowl of delicious soup noodles! Also it’s incredible that you’re able to find something vegetarian at late 9:30
