The Burggarten is situated on the Ringstrasse and is laid out in the English style. It is also home to the Palm House, one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau glasshouses built according to designs by Friedrich Ohmann.

What a delightful and quite park ☺️ Even in the winter is a place to spend some time Just loved that when I approached the lake 3 ducks rush to me thinking I would have bread for them, only to be disappointed that I didn’t 😅 But they stayed there around me in the water just hoping ☺️

A beautiful garden with rich history with a lot of benches and wide lawns to chill out, also perfect for picnics. The butterfly house and the iconic Palmenhaus is also nearby for sightseeing, food, and drinks. A tip for a budget-mindful traveller: the drink in Palmenhaus is quite exorbitant. I got a small coffee there for 5 euros. Aside from that: the interior is nice (IG-worthy, so to speak) and the staff are very accommodating and will talk to you in English.

A nice place to visit any time of the year. We especially like to visit in the summer time to see the ducks in the pond or have a picnic in the grass. It can become quite crowded but there's always room to sit down with a good book, friends or your partner and enjoy a beautiful day.

Once the private gardens of the Austrian Imperial family, Burggarten is now a public park that borders the Hofburg Palace. There are several monuments in the park, but the most popular is undoubtedly the monument to Mozart. Most likely you'll be somewhere around this park if you're visiting Vienna and it's worth a look as it's so close to the many attractions of the city. In the summer, it's a great place to be, with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the park, the flowers or just take a rest.

A nice and quiet park close to the Vienna city centre, just down the road from the Vienna Opera House. There are quite a few statues scattered around the small park including one of Mozart. The ground in front of it was tilled in a musical note but didn't have flowers growing yet. I quite liked the contrast of the park with the two interesting looking building on two sides.

Great place The Hofburg (court palace) was the seat of of Habsburg power. The Burggarten (court garden), like the Volksgarten, was made after Napoleon's army demolished the defensive structures which previously occupied the land. Designed by Franz Antoine, the court gardener, it served a private royal garden for the Habsburg family, from the time of its design (1818) until the end of the empire in 1918.

Nice Park not far from city centre. City centre park most famous for its Mozart statue Borders the Hofburg and Albertina attractions Nice place to sit and relax while sightseeing When Napoleon’s troops withdrew from Vienna in 1809, clutching the Treaty of Schönbrunn and their souvenir fridge magnets, the mess they left behind demanded a redesign of the area around the Hofburg palace complex. Part of this redesign was the creation of the Kaisergarten or Emperor’s garden, a private area for the Imperial family to (I assume) take off their shoes and enjoy a picnic. The authorities extended the area in 1863, then reduced it again a few decades later to create space for the Neue Burg palace extension that now borders the northwest side of the park. Following the demise of the monarchy and the change to a republic in 1919, the Kaisergarten passed to the state. At the time, many streets and similar were being renamed to remove the Imperial connection. And so the Emperor’s Garden simply became the Burggarten

An absolutely gorgeous garden! The best time to visit is spring - there is a huge white magnolia blooming in March and later on from the second-third week of April is the time when gorgeous, huge peony bushes bloom. You can see the blooms on my pics below. On another note, some sights to see in Burggarten is the Mozart monument, the Butterfly House and the Palmenhouse brasserie/bar. Palmenhouse and the Butterfly house are located in Kaiser's former green house, art nouveau style and both are gorgeous. At Palmenhouse, you can try some local Austrian specialities, or simply have a drink.

The park was a serene oasis in the heart of the city. Its lush greenery, tranquil ponds, and well-maintained paths made it a perfect escape from the urban hustle and bustle. A peaceful haven for nature lovers and a great place to unwind.
