I saw the mozart concert in here. It is a very clean and beautiful building. The people who work in here are also very friendly. For the concerts you can buy last minute standing tickets. I payed 15 euro for the Mozart concert. The concert itself was so good I enjoyed every minute of it.

We went to see the Mozart concert. While the music was excellent and the building/room impressive, I found that the experience lacked a “wow factor”. Having seen other orchestras and musicals in Vienna, I would advise booking the best you can (as early as possible) if you are looking for a premium experience.

We booked the cheap seats online. Actually, it was standing only, no seats. If you're like me and walk around like you're in Carthy McCormac's No Stairs for Old Men, pay the extra for a seat. The venue is great, I'm glad we went, but we couldn't stand after 45 minutes following a day of walking everywhere. If you really want to hear great music in an excellent venue for 9 Euro, line up at the stairs either side and then run up the stairs and get to the front of the queue, then as soon as the bell goes off and the doors open, move quickly and occupy the front centre rail so at least you can lean on something. Otherwise, don't be a cheap skate and you'll be less Grumpy Old Men with a seat.

Amazing place to see, definitely worth to do a guided tour because there is a lot more to see than « just » the main venue that we may see at the NewYear Concert 🎶 (No photos except in this main one) Close to Karlsplatz.

I spent one of my best night ever in this place. Starting by the astonishing architecture of the building with a peace of art in every corner. Moreover, I had a great time listing to Mozart by amazing musicians. Most prominently, the conducter of the orchestra made us feel part of the show, literally. I’d consider going back to Vienna just to attend another concert here.

We visited for a Christmas concert. The music was divine! The acoustics were the best, the director and all the musicians were amazing! The singers also! But there was a mess entering the building..no organisation at all- you had to push people that were waiting to give their coat , which is all over the place. They charge you per item with 0.70€ but if they don’t have change they don’t give you any! The staff were very rude. They were very stiff and once the show was over they literally kicked us out. We couldn’t have a picture or something. They were pushing people in order to turn off the lights. For many people visiting this place is a unique experience. They should be more smiling and helpful.

Impressive music hall - just beautiful Great atmosphere Wasn’t massively busy but advanced purchase recommended A must for any classical music lover Ticket prices vary massively Standing tickets at the back for just €15. Or but from sellers around the city for special deals.

An evening spent at Vienna’s iconic Musikverein Golden Hall is a memory to cherish for a lifetime, and the recent performance by the Wiener Mozart Orchestra was no exception. As soon as you step into the hall, you’re greeted by a stunning architectural feat that effortlessly marries opulence with elegance. The gilded auditorium is a visual delight, an all-encompassing spectacle that sets the mood for an enchanting evening of classical music. The Wiener Mozart Orchestra is simply unparalleled. The musicians are not just performers but storytellers, drawing you into the narrative woven by the music. The richness of the sounds resonating from the stage is amplified by the hall’s impeccable acoustics, creating an immersive audio experience that lingers even after the final applause. Mozart’s works, already ethereal in their beauty, were masterfully brought to life. The orchestra commanded an exceptional range of emotions, from the lighthearted brilliance of the faster movements to the profound intensity of the slower pieces. What elevates the experience at the Musikverein Golden Hall is the deep connection you feel with the music. You’re not just a passive spectator, but an active participant in this celebration of symphony.

Superb venue with a wonderful acoustic. Unfortunately most seats in the balcony have a partial view, but this is clearly noted when you buy your tickets.

The English speaking guide we had was really really good. The guided tour well paced. Seeing it in real life is really something. The room holds so many memories for those of us where January 1. always brings the new years concert from Wien. Interesting to see the practise rooms in the many levels UNDER Musikverein. Very interesting. The tour is well worth the 10 euro.

An incredible experience. I’m not an expert of classical music , but I can tell the sound was amazing ! It felt like I was inside a vibrating instrument, really impressive !

One of the most beautiful venues in the world for a concert. Small but comfortable and good reverb for classical music. Backpacks and jackets aren't allowed in the showroom so make sure to come in time so you have spare time to queue for the cloakroom (which is fairly cheap, less than 2€ for 2 pieces).

It is really a great experience when visiting Vienna, however, the price is not for everyone. Plenty of space left when we were there to do a last minute ticket sale to allow for people having less money to spend. €250 for 4 for 2 hours with even student discount... That's not for everybody's budget while the cultural part it's enriching for the many.

What a fantastic venue to enjoy classical music. It was an absolute masterpiece and a delight to see it in person. The building itself was stunning, centrally located and easy to reach via metro. The dress code is smart, which was mostly adhered to. Highly recommend booking in advance and booking as close to the stage as possible, either on the main floor or on the sides. The seats 'behind' the stage looked very crammed and had an obstructed view of the stage, if any. Avoid. Once your tickets have been checked, you will be informed where your seat is located. There is also a cloakroom if required. The SHOW was - spectacular - there are no other words I can use. It's a 2hr miracle with an intermission to realise that this is a real-life experience! There was a really fun audience participation towards the end and the show really did end with a bang. Every single person in the performance was outstanding - 10/10 Late comers were guided in by staff in between performances so not to disturb the orchestra and people in the wrong seats were quickly addressed by security. This is a must-see performance in Vienna, even if classical music isn't your genre. It's an experience I will never forget.

The Musikverein was built in 1870 and is known for its excellent acoustics and elegant design. The interior of the hall is adorned with marble, gold leaf, and crystal chandeliers, creating a lavish and sophisticated atmosphere. One of the most interesting facts about the Musikverein is that it is the venue for the annual New Year's Concert, which are broadcasted to over 90 countries around the world. These concerts have become a tradition in Vienna and are a highly coveted ticket, with demand often outstripping supply. In addition to the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Musikverein also hosts concerts by other renowned classical musicians and orchestras from around the world. The Musikverein is a must-see for classical music enthusiasts visiting Vienna, and a concert at this iconic venue is a truly unforgettable experience.

Gorgeous venue in Vienna. We saw the Mozart concert and it was incredible. Highly recommend if you are in Vienna to book a ticket for this show, it is not a tourist trap and it is worth the money. We had the dinner inclusion at the Bistrol Hotel which was immaculate as well. Very recommended.

It was an amazing experience. The interior was splendid. The decoration and the art of the music hall itself require one visit. The Mozart concert was fabulous. The singers and the conductors mesmerized us all the time. It was two hours long but not for a moment I felt bored. Highly recommended during a visit to Vienna.

Stunning place that holds so much culture and age. Everything is nicely built and setup. The music is heard sharply and you can listen to every note and every musician. There’s many music halls inside and there could be multiple orchestras playing, so make sure to book in advance as these shows get sold out pretty quickly. Most people are dressed up nice for the show, although we weren’t asked for a specific dress code. Chairs are old and wooden, and they aren’t comfortable for the length of the show. If you’re a taller person, expect this to be uncomfortable especially if someone sitting behind you is shorter than you are. I booked Vivaldi and Mozart and it was astonishing! Couldn’t stop clapping.

It was an amazing concert. Highly recommend. the price range makes it affordable and accesible for everybody. Only downside is the seating, they are a bit too close together but overall was ok for a 2h show with a break in the middle.

If you don't have the money to go to the New Year concert there you can go on a tour and see the beauty of the halls inside for just 9 euros+ all the COVID formalities but it is worth it.

The ambience and the experience is legit, awesome performance put by the artists. but was disappointed by the sound system. Wasn't able to hear the crisp sound of the instruments. Was sitting in catagory B 4th row.

Watched a fantastic performance at the Vienna Music House. Well worth a visit. 2 hour performance was very entertaining. Best eat before or after as limited options at venue. Metro train next to venue and local tram line. Walk to city centre.

I had an amazing time at the orchestra event tonight. The musicians were wonderful, the director was on point with a sense of humor, and the opera singers were right on tune for the ears. Loved everyone's attire on stage as well! The venue itself was beautiful being covered in so much gold. I ended going solo and bought a 59 euro ticket a couple of hours before the event. I did the best seat for the price option rather than picking a seat. I figured I would have been placed in the best of what was left in the category 4 priced seats, but I was happily surprised when I realized I was placed in a wonderful category 2 (125 euro) seat instead! I'm not sure if it was a mistake, but I didn't feel I should complain. My first few hours in Vienna have been great, and this was part of it! I'll gladly come back to the orchestra and Vienna!

Brilliant concert by an orchestra of around thirty players comprising string, wind, percussion, as well as a tenor and a soprano. They executed a medley of popular classical compositions with great skill, entertaining and involving the audience. This was the highlight of our visit to Vienna.

All Saints Day program at Musikvereinsplatz featured Mozart’s 40th Symphony and Requiem. As you would expect, fine playing (appeared to be with period instruments). The chorale was about 70 strong and the four soloists were global opera performers.

The Brahms Hall is quite small which was an advantage in my opinion because the stage is easily visible from any seat. The acoustique is very nice and it has a nice historical atmosphere. The concert was really entertaining as the conductor has made it very interactive especially during the closing songs. It is a great experience to listen Mozart songs live from the Viennese Mozart Orchestra! However, I would try to listen to them at the state opera next time...

Amazing architecture! Everyone who visit Vienna, should watch a classical music concert there! There were Mozart Selections Concert there and enjoyed tremendously every piece of the show! There are student discounts for the tickets, which is not shown in the website… There are also ticket salemans in everywhere in the city center.

A must do when in Vienna. Visited with children. Saturday night concert. 50€/person, deserves it. Very pricey beverages at the bar and it gets crowded fast. Most of seats have good view upstairs and downstairs. There were some vacant seats in front of the standing area, after intermission you could seat if you want, nobody cared .

The Musikverein is a stunning building, inside and out. Staff were pleasant and very professional. We knew we were visiting in the Summer and were going to get music for the tourists - ideally, we would have liked to hear the Vienna Philharmonic. The young lady singing had a pretty voice; the gentleman not so good - at times, we couldn't hear him at all. The small orchestra were doing a good job, although tuning was a bit of an issue. For a £90 ticket, I'd hoped for more: perhaps I'm out of date with prices?

A must visit place during trip to Vienna for every art and music lover. It is very special place to enjoy evening concert. There are more kinds of tickets. It is not a waste of money if you pay more for a better seat, it is worth it! It is recommended to get tickets printed in advance at the ticket office, but the evening ticket office which is open one hour before the starting time is just enough.
