Maurer Wald

Tourist attraction National forest

😐 A relatively small forest that you can reach it easily with the Vienna public transport. It is perfect for a short walk but if you wanna spend the whole day you may find it too small. There is a nice Cafe' in the middle that I found it really cozy

It is beautiful, walkable with pram in some places but be aware of unleashed dogs.

Natural recreation area in the south of Vienna, large free parking lot, children's playground, walking paths, star garden, Wotruba Church...

Place of many fond memories. Yoo can even find a (very!) small prehistoric quarry there.

Beautiful local recreation area on the outskirts of Vienna. There are countless ways to explore this part of the biosphere reserve. Also easy to reach by public transport. The poplar pond with its beautiful water lilies and the herons that land here every now and then and look for delicacies is also worth seeing. Just a really beautiful, idyllic landscape.
