Don't trust Agoda prices. After we got there, we were informed that the price is for one person. The standard price is 4$ per person in 4 beds dorm. They should pay more attention to the cleanliness. You need to bring your own lock if you want to use the storage under the bed.

Lucky is an ironic name as I feel unlucky to have stayed there Good points : some of the staff are friendly there, the man and the old woman are nice people The location is convenient Bad points : omg the showers 🚿 I have never seen such dirty showers in any hotels or hostel, more likely to leave more dirty than entering Mosquitos 🦟 place is riddled with Mosquitos outside and inside, there is no protection on the windows preventing them from entering the rooms and sitting outside is a Mosquitos death sentence, they don't provide any coils which would be a nice touch General hygiene, the rooms are dirty and the toilets a little unclean Generally the place was a let down I would look for somewhere else to stay Whilst there someone stole some of my clothes in the night I spoke to the woman manager who was not much help... and asked her to clean the showers She Did a half arse job James the man who worked there is friendly and a nice guy Sadly I won't be returning and would rather look for another option Don't be fooles by the cheap price

Good location, helpful manager and good value for money. However, we didn’t have hot water in the private double room and the plug points in the room were faulty.

The room smells like new paint. Didn't understand us when we told them. The bathroom is very dirty. Also, we rented motorbikes at the hostel, which are apparently not legal to drive anymore because the check was done too long ago (we didn't knew this) Because of this, we had to pay a fine. When we called the hostel about this they just hung up the phone. Bad servicea very strange that they rent such a scooter to their guests. When we arrived back at the hostel we told the story of our 200.000 kip fine. He said it was our fault and that we only had to pay 20.000 or 50.000 kip (but the fine was because of the state of the motorbike). And he was laughing. No sorry at all. Bad service.

Had been using the laundry service here for 3 weeks. On the 1st occasion I wasn't detail oriented about the receipt, the bill was inflated by 3,000kip. An amount too small to fuss over. Yesterday, I rented a scooter for 2 days. I prepaid 140,000kip and left my passport as 'deposit' as is the custom. I was not given a receipt. Later, in the late evening, I couldn't sleep. Anxiety over my passport was mounting. I was keenly aware that I didn't have a receipt. In the middle of the night, I had my husband take me back to return the scooter early. Different staff was at the desk. The documents had been altered to show I had only prepaid one day. When my Thai husband asked about the refund for the unused second day, we were told to come back the next day & deal with the main woman at the desk. I didn't even bother. The skimscam was already apparent. If we had kept the scooter overnight, there would have been a dispute over the cost of the second day. And considering my passport would be leverage, I'm super thankful for my guided intuition that led me to return the scooter early. Warning to others!! Make sure the receipt is clearly detailed AND you have it, before leaving. Or, avoid the stress altogether and shop elsewhere

This place is fine if you want an affordable place to sleep and not much else. The beds are fine, but the bathroom lacks soap, potable water was not available on site, and breakfasts are no longer provided (even though room prices have risen). The internet is fast and reliable, but all the power sockets are worn out to the point that charging cables won't be able to transmit energy to your gadgets unless you physically allign your charger's prongs with the charging socket. When I returned to this place before leaving Laos, construction work had taken place on the upper floor. A wall had been removed. It was literally possible for people to walk off the upper floor and fall onto the ground below, yet not so much as 'caution tape' had been set up to cordon off that part of the floor.

very dirty and awful wi-fi, only worked by the reception. we also rented a bike which had faulty brakes and drove back immediately for the guy to tell us that we should take it to a mechanic if we're worried but that it's fine and wouldn't give a refund. only one worker spoke english and he was never around, when asking the other girls that worked there a question they just giggle at you?

Staff were very friendly, location was good and the beds were comfortable. However, the place was very dirty. It looked like they hadn't cleaned the place in months, with huge dusty cobwebs covering the entire ceiling in every room. I think it could be nice with some TLC. It was also very open and had lots of mosquitos.

It is really cheap, but that is the only positive thing about it. There was no toilet paper, of the three showers only one was working. It wasn’t clean. Also, my friend left her medications there and then we tried to call them multiple times to get them back, but no one was answering the phone.

In the web It said a room for two ando when web arrived the told us we needed to pay for the other person. The price was for room not for person so they rob you in your face. There are other better options, cheaper ando trusful.

We had a private, double room. Everything was adequate, but a little dingy: big bed, towels provided, air-conditioning. The bathroom was small, but satisfactory. It is a family-run hostel and the staff are friendly. Laundry service available at 10,000 Kip per kilo. The location is excellent. We stayed here whilst cycle-touring. The storage for our bikes was out the front of the hostel and not wholly ideal by our standards. However, no harm was done.

Beautiful place to stay. Friendly people at the front desk. Comfortable mattresses, the best I had ever in a hostel. Good price for a shared room. Including - Wifi - breakfast - 2 computer to use

Very good, about 5$ a night, large dormitory, large bed, and plenty of space for each locker located under the beds. I rented a motorbike (honda wave 100) and no problem. The guys are friendly, 2 computers and wifi was good. Showers clean. The hostel is quite new (2014 I think).

Room was dirty. Spider nets hanging all around. I booked a double bed room and I got a 2 twin beds squeezed together. Breakfast included? I can't call that a breakfast. Location is good but, you can find many other cheap hotels in the area with a clean room and a decent breakfast.

Good place for a short stay, specially solo travellers. Breakfast is included. Receptionist is attentive.

I think the negative experiences I had in this hostel were due to the other people staying there. In a 16 bed dorm at least 4 other guests would do nothing but sleep and smoke, which made the room pretty uncomfortable to be in. A large group of guys were staying there and absolutely trashed the three small toilet cubicles and would smoke in the showers. It seemed like there was one cleaning lady and she just couldn't keep up with it. The only place that made me feel like I needed to buy hand sanitizer. However, the staff were beyond friendly and helped me retrieve a lost phone which had been left in pakse - they truly went above and beyond.

Not bad, I was given a room in a facility nearby that belongs to the same owner. The room was small, but everything was working except for Wi-Fi. It was okay in the lobby though

Do not book a room at agoda for this hostel🚫✋✋✋they charge cash from you when you leave it will be deducted from your credit card And the reason wouldn't recommend it is that the two girls in the reception don't take the customer seriously and they laugh at customers, 😡😡😡😡🫵

The woman who owned it was very nice however it just was not a great experience. We paid for an aircon room and the aircon barely worked so we were very warm throughout our stay. There was a free breakfast but it just didn’t really compare to other hostel breakfast we have had while in Laos. The wifi doesn’t reach the rooms so you’ll have to sit in the front seating area to use it and the owners family lives there and their young child was screaming all night while we tried to use the wifi. It was clean but they were in the process of painting so the paint smell was a bit strong.
