đź‘Ť Really good value for money at 40000 kip for a dorm bed. Breakfast is included, fried eggs or cornflakes. Seems to be an issue with bed bugs as they were spraying the mattresses down when I arrived. Then fine for a few days but on my last night I was bitten a lot. I did tell the front desk but they... Decent place to stay. Roomy, clean, friendly staff. Free okay breakfast. Easy to find and good location. 40000kip (5$) per night in 6 person dorm. Air con and fan. Blankets are somewhat thin and perhaps not washed. No free soap/shampoo or anything. Drinks only a tiny bit more expensive than elsewhere. Prices for busses seem okay, cant verify quality

Seems to be an issue with bed bugs as they were spraying the mattresses down when I arrived. Then fine for a few days but on my last night I was bitten a lot. I did tell the front desk but they didn't seem bothered. Staff were generally quite cold and didn't go out of their way to help with anything. Location is great however and you really won't find better for the price in Vientiane.

Avalon B&B is a nice hostel with friendly staff, located in a quiet street 100mt from Laos National museum. Being walking distance from the Mekong riverside and the touristic area, it offers the delightful opportunity to enjoy silent nights, and quiet mornings having your breakfast (included in the dorm price) in the cafe and bakery annex. The female dorm (8 beds) with attached bathroom and hot shower, has also quite spacious lockers, bed reading lights, double socket to plug your devices, air con and fan. It's clean and comfortable, and its big windows face the street providing a lot of natural light. You can also book transport to all the main destinations at reasonable price. Reception and cafe open at 7am, but I arrived before 6 and they were super kind and understanding.

Perfectly fine budget option, just wish the aircon was on longer (shuts off at 7am). I saw the old posts about bedbugs after I already booked so I thoroughly checked the mattresses and sheets when I checked in. Luckily everything looked good and I had no problems while there. I think they solved the problem.

In general it's good place to stay with so good location, but inside the rooms the bed have bugs & they're mosquitos.. make me can't sleep well. And one of the bathrooms has broken door and this bathroom hasn't hot water. The price is good for having bed & breakfast. And they have breakfast menu to choose from (A, B or C). And mostly the WiFi is fast.

Good: clean and quite hostel with a good location. Right next to the bus stop if your coming from vang vieng. The guys at the reception are nice and helpful (even with not so good English). Very cheap and with simple breakfast. Bad: we had bed bugs. We changed rooms and had bed bugs in both. Some other people in the hostel had the same problem. (not sure about all rooms and beds). We had to check both of our backpacks. This was the first time in 8 months traveling. The staff just put the beds outside and let them get warm, but they carry them just though the hostel so the bugs are free to jump off anyway. They are not serious with the problem and blame the Backpackers for it. If there are no bugs, great place to stay!

Bed bugs in the female dorms on floor 2. I found one in my hair and killed it. As a precaution I slept on the floor in the hallway to prevent other bed bugs from buying me. The two other girls in the room also said they were bitten. Comfortable bed and nice staff. Wish there were no bed bugs.

Clean and nice, but BED BUGS. And the owner said, that “you have to be prepared for bed bugs if you choose sleeping in dorm”! Finally we get some refund (50%), but she said, that we can’t use our breakfast vouchers then.

Dorm with the no bunk beds were nice. Lots of fans. They would turn on the air conditioning late at night and early in the morning which is kinda annoying considering it's hot all day. Washrooms needs hooks to be fixed. The restaurant right beside it sucks .. got deep fried satay.. FML. Night market down the road.

Very clean rooms! There are big lockers, good breakfast, not free coffee, there is fan and air conditioning, place where to dry cloths. The bad thing is that is near a party places so in the night the music is VERY noisy and the WiFi is very bad one. AFTER all I think is one of the best options in Vientiane.

Comfortable hostel with good shower and toilet facilities. Friendly staff. Next door to a bakery which provides breakfast. Needs to work on their wifi coverage as it is only really accessible from the central staircase or reception - not really in the dorms.
