My precious husband and I stayed here over 15 years ago while he was training at Heidelberg printer company. It was our first time overseas from USA and in the winter! What a dream staying here and a memory I now cherish since my beloved passed away. Our room was so romantic, the food delicious, the staff delightful. This is an EXCELLENT hotel and restaurant that is very old. The charm is that it is very old. Historically old. The staff is delightful and very helpful. The dinner was amazing and we enjoyed soaking up the history of this place almost as much as the food. My wife and I have discussed our stay here numerous times and this has one of the fondest spots in our hearts from our last trip to Germany. We got up at about 4:30 am and walked along the river, listened to the birds, and had great conversations as the sun came up and then treated ourselves to an amazing breakfast. As far as we are concerned, we stay here or we stay nowhere while we're in Heidelberg! Hervorragendste Erfahrung!

A truly splendid stay with wonderful staff. Our dinner was fantastic and breakfast each morning truly memorable. My only small criticism is having paper napkins at breakfast time. This feast deserves better.

A really wonderful experience at Die Hirschgasse. The hotel itself is in a very quiet location but still an easy walk to the old town, and the room was spacious and nicely appointed. The staff was helpful, friendly and very responsive to any request. The meals here are a special experience starting with the breakfast, which is a good as any I've had in any hotel anywhere, and, of course, the restaurant with great food and flawless service.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Hirschgasse, a very unique hotel. The wonderful breakfast and the service of our waiter were highlights. The rooms were decorated very nicely and the beds and linens were extremely comfortable.

We stayed in the larger family suites. It was a very beautiful room with cute old fashioned decor. Very comfortable beds. Nice location, within walking distance to Old Heidelberg. The staff was all very friendly. We highly recommend this hotel and wish we could have stayed longer.

Very pleasant stay. Room was elegantly decorated and the hotel is perfectly located for both walks up the hill and a trip into town/the castle. Breakfast was also a highlight- wish we'd been able to eat at the restaurant but it was full! Gives us an excuse to go back next time.

A wonderful and comfortable stay in an historic building. You would never know in the bucolic, tree covered property that a walk down the street one block bringings you to the old bridge over the Neckar and easy stroll over to the old town. If it is night then you ha e one of the best views ever of the Castle lit by megawatts of lighting. A fabulous view. Breakfast is awesome and would take too to describe. Loved our stay and will stay again on our next trip to Heidelberg
