A successful ensemble of figures with scenes from Niebergall's play "Datterich". The figures' limbs are movable. Not just suitable for children to play with. The quotes from the piece around the fountain are also nice.

Nice in nowhere

A very interesting fountain inspired by the art of Ernst Niebergall - Datterich. There are many figures here that you can move freely. Great fun not only for children.

A pleasant place to stay and the city library is nearby. But it's not really clean here and there's too much graffiti polluting the area.

My mother “told me” about the Datterich over 30 years ago - back then it was still in the city center. The new location is really off the beaten track...

Der Datterich-Brunnen dient als Brunnen und Denkmal in Darmstadt. Der Brunnen hat beweglichen Bronzefiguren und ist auf einen beweglichen Rad montiert und bietet sich zum experimentieren an ;-)

Schöner Brunnen nur die Figuren würden mal eine Erneuerung vertragen
