After 5 weeks in Europe I must say this was my favorite restaurant. Everything we ordered was amazing, especially the pulpo a la gallega (octopus) which is such a difficult thing to get right. This one was rich in flavor and tender. The tapas , beef and appetizers that we ordered were top notch. I cannot emphasize enough my love for Chavolas. I would travel to Spain tomorrow just to eat here. Vigo ftw !

We found this place just by coincidence. Good hidden:). And we were very happy to eat there. Its a very cosy restaurant with great food and wine. Fish was delicious and very fresh.

The tortilla we can't recommend, and the meat was chewy. But actually a nice atmosphere.. just pick your food wisely!

Our 1st Back to Galicia post pandemic and we had high expectations for our 1st meal. This place did not disappoint. Great service and wonderful seafood. Very authentic Galician dishes and excellent value for money.

Pretty seating areas, the staff are friendly and the service is fast. The food is ok.

It is a nice restaurant in the Old part of the Vigo where you can find the local cuisine with many different dishes.

Going around all restaurants we take this place follow recommendation by guide and that was perfect fresh fish , and wery raw tasty steak . we recommended taste and cheap wine .

I like the food but the service is always wonderful. The waiter is very sweet and the busboys are super attentive! Also, it opens everyday so it’s very convenient! In the middle of the old town with a cute garden. Tortilla is fabulous, every time!! Today I’ve enjoyed a fresh piece of Coruxo with a flavorful salsa and lovely potatoes, the fishy was so big, I have lunch for tomorrow.

Save yourself some money and go elsewhere. Highly overpriced restaurant with pooor quality dishes. Pulpo was tough and costed €20. We have also ordered Chuleton Premium hoping to eat some premium Galician beef. It was tasteless and certainly not matured for as long as we have been told.

Waited till 20:00 (8:00 PM) when they open. This place was fully booked from 21:30 (9:30 PM) on till closing. We were able to eat only because we got there “early”. Food was so good! Highly recommend it!

I have travelled the world extensively and though I enjoy many types of food, every so often a restaurant surprises me with a truly unforgettable meal. This was one such meal- -Definitely a top 10 in my life! My wife & I stumbled across Chavolas by accident and were both blown away. Every bite of the octopus appetizer was incredible. I've never had octopus meat so soft AND delicious. My whole fish was fanastic too. Her egg & potato dish was very uniquely done and scrumptious as well. Every bite was AWESOME. We left extremely satisfied and, if we're ever within 100 miles of this place again, we'd go out of our way to return just for one more meal here.

A real treat. We chose 6 different fish dishes that were served in a friendly, efficient manner. All dishes tasted wonderful accompanied by a dry, white wine. A real treat.
