👍👍 April '23. Bottom line - this place is fantastic value for money ! and lets face it when you stay here it will be to visit the beautiful city of Porto. The bus stop (pick up and drop off) is literally 100yds from the site gates, its 1.90€ each, one way, every 30 mins which take you to within 500m... People often mention Porto, beach, good, location, staff, site, night, facilities, visit, clean,

We came here to stay prior to biking into Porto because of its location despite the variable reviews. We actually found it a lot better than we expected. The reception was very good and helpful, the sites were in good condition - flat and grassy, it was very quiet, and it was cheap per night @15€ excl. electricity. The facilities were old, but worked and were clean. The only downside was that you have to pay for a minimum of 2 nights, so it worked out being quite expensive for us. Also, if you want electricity you need a 2 pin connection and it is low on power - only does the fridge! Apart from that - All good. Came here again in October 2023 and it has improved further. Same as above but also much busier - nearly full - so you may need to book in advance. Great service from the staff and excellent English.

The bus stop (pick up and drop off) is literally 100yds from the site gates, its 1.90€ each, one way, every 30 mins which take you to within 500m from the Luiz 1 bridge. Yes the site especially the grass is unkempt and the facilities are not the newest but it's safe and secure for 11€ a night. The showers are hot. Some people want perfection for the least amount of money. They could double the cost and we would still stay because of the security and bus link.

What a ÂŁhithole! Their website say they have a laundry but there isn't one, shower block looks like something from a 1940's war film, Unkempt pitches, high kerbs to get on your pitch, uneven ground, weeds growing everywhere, grass isn't cut, grey waste disposal is reached by avoiding overhanging trees. Little picnic area with benches and BBQ facilities is locked off and the grass is as high as the benches! Maybe the management are happy taking the money from the permanent caravans and tents? but they only add to the feeling that you are living in a refugee camp.

Motorhome parking is OK the location is a direct bus trip 2 euros to the city centre. The amenities are only OK. It rates highly at only 5 euros a night including power min two nights! Perfect to explore Porto or enjoy the beach very close.

We loved this site. We tried to get in the night before and it was full. The reception was nice and told us to try the next day which we did. We ended up in area 3 which is very spacious with 10 amps of electricity, along with Morello's and other large motorhomes. It was 17€ per night for 2 people and a dog. The reception was really helpful and friendly, the associated restaurant, Casa Helena, was fantastic. So much so we ate there twice during our visit. There are no washing machines and limited WiFi onsite and the service facilities old but clean. There was always lots of hot water for showers but none at the washing area. The ambience made has made this one of our favourite sites. Porto is gorgeous and we used Uber pet taxi to travel in and out, cost around 8-10€.

Porto is an amazing place to visit and we found a great place to camp. Well organized and very friendly, super clean and very safe ,everything there that we needed. When we visit Porto again then we will of course stay at this camping facility and the half price of other camping Facilities. Didn’t manage to get the food in the restaurant but it all looked very good .

Great location and price at €10 with ⚡️. Perfect beach and wonderful restaurants just down a lane. Bus service is good but not on google. A bolt/uber is €8 and 22mins to Porto. This place could be amazing if they sped up the checkin, upgraded the toilets, cleaned up the grey and black waste area and cut the grass. Camping surely needn’t be this scruffy.

We loved it here. It is one of the few remaining municipal campsites. That means that the infrastructure is basic and the prices are affordable. And this is also the reason why it is never overcrowded like commercial campsites. They consider the site full if they have 600 guests- even if that means that several pitches are still free. The staff is also nice: straight forward and multilingual. We could not wish for more!

Only 4 star because of the location. 5 mins from beach 6 euro uber ride to Porto. Very cheap, 20 euros for 2 days inc electricity. Would not use shower block as it looked bad. In desperate need of some cash spent on it. Belongs to the municipality hence price but could be somewhere lovely if they spent some money and charged 15 euros.

Very polite and helpful staff Whole place could do with painting and grass cutting. No site map available Minimum waste and recycling areas Sanitary facilities basic Good location Main issue for us : Only 2 amp electric connection available. Any decent site would need 6 amp minimum. Great bus service close by for Central Porto.

Food OK, but service is slow, very slow sat for over 15 minutes until someone come to serve us, order food at the same time. The food arrived first and then 5 minutes the drinks arrived. I ordered another drink before we had not even finished the first. We finished our drink and sat another ten minutes to get our next. No good. And when I ask for the bill it arrived very fast along with a girl with a card machine.

For what you pay and the proximity to Porto, you can't really have any complaints. Yes the check in can be a bit drawn out but it's a community site with only 2 people working on the front desk at any one time, and with no numbers on the plots, it does take time. Really nice beach 5 minutes walk also

Great value campsite. Very close to beach and easy access to the city by bus. Showers were good and had warm water. Overall a decent campsite with helpful staff.

I guess it is fine for 2 nights. Great location almost by the sea and not far from Porto center. You can take a bus next to the campsite or walk along the coast. Although it is a long way. Better cycle. We didn't like that there were so many permanent tents. Doesn't look good although it is safe place to be. A lot of nice bars and restaurants along the beach.

Campsite in good location in view of security, proximity to the beach and access by bus into Porto. Pitches a little tight and you are taken to your pitch after check in. Check in is a bit strange but they have a process which works for them. Elec supply not enough to boil a kettle so we had to turn on our gas! Services, I.e. toilets and shower are dated as is the general maintenance if the site, however, it all worked OK and it was OK for our two night stay. Porto is worth a visit if only to view the iron bridge. Wewent to the train stYion to look at the historic tiling. Brilliant.

It was clean, but maybe in need of some TLC. Staff were friendly. Showers were hot and toilets clean.. Don't forget your loo roll! We ate at the restarant on site.. It was nice but a little pricey. The T Bone streaks did look nice though we didn't opt for these. A 2 min walk to beach so perfect for this.. And a lovely supermarket 5 min stroll. Lots of beach restaurants and bars to choose from.

It’s a ok camping with all the necessities. Great camping if you consider their price. We spent the night with a tent and didn’t really find what to complain about. Hot water, facilities work, staff is friendly enough. 5min walk to the beach. Awesome location to visit Porto. Bus station around the corner gets you to the heart of the city.

People at the reception are friendly but the toilets and showers are really really dirty. I don't think they have been cleaned good for a long time. We were lucky we stayed only one night here.

Hot showers. Wonderful staff take the 15 bus outside the venue will take you to the bottom at the river and will take you back again. Don't forget to go left when leaving the venue to walk along the most beautiful coast

I would rate the location with 4 stars, but the facilities are outdated and disgusting, warranting no stars. Surprisingly, the establishment is owned by the city. It would be beneficial for the mayor to pay a visit and witness it firsthand. I recommend staying there solely if you intend to utilize your motorhome's shower and restroom amenities.

Conveniently located place close to the beach and not far from Porto center. Helpful staff even though the system of locking the electricity boxes and having to wait for unlocking them when you want to leave is not the best solution. Relatively quiet. Sanitary block clean and generally OK. Good value for money. Nice restaurants close by. Would come back.

Can't believe some of the bad comments here. The campsite is not a 5* hotel but for the price it is an ideal place to safely park and visit Porto. Sanitary facilities are old but they are cleaned regularly and not half as bad as others make out. The staff were helpful and the pitches are exactly that, somewhere to park and sit. Electricity is only 2A but it was ideal for keeping us topped up with solar. Thank you to the staff. Would definitely come back!
