There is a lot of love in this place - the animals are very well taken care of and the carers are always happy to chat about them. I once even had a private tour by one of them without even asking for one. The entrance currently costs 3 euros for an adult ticket. You can easily spend a whole morning here and you can see all sorts of birds, otters, ferrets, deer and farm animals. The park is also known for its variety of plants and trees and is famous for rescuing many animals that end up getting hurt by the shore or in the woods. They have a restaurant and accommodation if you need it. Overall, it's a wonderful place that you should visit at least once.

Lots of birds in the park and then other interesting animals like the endangered European bissoun, wild boar and fallow deer.Highly recommend it for a family outing with high energy kids. At the entrance there are vending machines for snacks and drinks, else located nearby is a supermarket. Would love to return in another season to see the changes in plants.

A conservation center that let's you walk through Portuguese forest with animals (squirrels, hedgehogs, rabbits) on the loose. With curious facts on the animals they keep, and a 3.6km walk with plenty of shortcuts if one gets tired, it is a must.

Great place for camping. Everything was super clean and there was electricity available. There is a door which is locked so it seems to be very safe. We really enjoyed our stay and fully recommend it. For 19€ per night totally worth it. Fastest way to go to the city is via uber for around 10€ one way.
