After browsing the other vendors (and finding some of them don’t accept credit cards), I decided to try the Brazilian Feijoada at Botequim à Brasileira (since they had a card terminal visible on the counter). They didn’t have a 7-Up for my 6 year old daughter, but they did have something from Brazil called Guarana. The gentleman who took my order told me it was popular in Brazil. I figured it was worth a shot and my daughter seemed to like drinking it. The meal itself was very delicious. The gentleman even dropped by to ask me if everything was to my liking which I appreciated. My daughter ate some of my rice and beans and also ate some of the meat. I didn’t bother offering her the kale salad as I know she wouldn’t like it. I would definitely recommend coming here.

Loved everything about this place. The two men who worked there were super helpful and guided us with our ordering. The location in the food hall in Gaia is awesome and super fun. The food was fantastic! We got two starters - the cheese bread and the sausages - both of which were amazing. We shared one of the main plates (black bean stew with sausage, kale, rice) and it was delicious. We will definitely be coming back!

Beef pastels were amazing but the cheese balls a bit disappointing (cheese is not very tasty). Anyway, great spot to grab appetizers to share !

The food is solid, their fried tapioca is great but could use more sauce. The plate I got came with a good variety of veggies, starches, and meat, but all around could have used a bit more flavor. Though at this price point, it is better than most of the other food in the rest of the food court.

We have ordered 4 pastel misto (two with cheese and two with meat) was not even half filled with meat or cheese which is visible on below picture. The main dish was prato -rice was totally bland and tasted like it was re-cooked for a second time, we didn't ate it just to be sure, chicken was nicely seasoned but quite heavy on the dry side. The only realy good thing was salad and desert (acai simples which isn't on the photo) Overall 4.9 opinion that the restaurant has at the time of writing is hugely overrated in my view hence why 1/5 star review

Being inside the market, this place definitely has the best atmosphere. The menù is various and with typical food, especially fried. Good in taste, it was ready in around 10 minutes. I'd say it feels a bit expensive for the quantity and for what you eat, but it's a nice experience and the service is nice

I had chicken fingers with rice, it was good (but nothing special). And small fried pastel with meat (these are like small cheburek if you know what it is).

Our first time eating Feijoada and we LOVED it. So flavourful and just a wonderful combination with the rice and greens. We never found another place that was as good on the remainder of our trip in Portugal. If you haven't tried it before, this is the place to do it!

A magical place, where the essence of Brazil is translated into small and lovely details. The impeccable service, the wonderful meals, the fantastic atmosphere, full of magic. It is not an exaggeration and the purest reality. Congratulations to all collaborators.

First stopped in for a quick bite and got the coxinhas (chicken croquettes), they were very good and had us stopping here the next day to try more. We had the pastel, linguica (sausage), and the pork belly with a bottle of vinho verde. All were amazing again and the wine was only 10 euro. Highly recommend this place when on the other side of the Douro in between the port cellars.
