The food was espectacular. I loved the cheese board and the chuletada for two. I believe this is the locals favorite because very few people spoke Spanish or English. The fact that it was local made it perfect evening full of wine.

Best posta (steak) during our three weeks trip, juicy and flavourful, plus a wonderful alheira (local sausage) as a starter. Very friendly and efficient service. Be early to secure a table or reserve it ahead.

Our first time to have lunch here and everything is excellent. We asked the man who works in Kartódromo, and he suggested this restaurant. The restaurant is located next to the main road. You will see many cars passing. Overall, we love it. We recommend this restaurant if you visit Vila Real. Pros 1. The staff is nice and friendly. 2. Entrance accessible for wheelchairs. 3. They have an economical menu for prato do dia 8.50 euros for lunch on weekdays. Our food is 2 pratos de costeletas de porco á salsicheiro for 2 adults and 1 criança. It is more than enough meat for the three of us. We still have leftovers after lunch. The food is tasty. The rice is delicious. I like the homemade picante. The soup and breads are included in the menu. 4. Free wifi 5. Indoor and outdoor seating. 6. Free bathroom. Cons 1. It is a bit pricey since the drinks and sobremesas are not included.

Authentic Portuguese restaurant with great food and service. We’ve had the steak (posta) and the octopus and they’re both great and well served.
