A very beautiful view of both cities Vitoria and Vila Velha. We opted to go up there by walking, but you can go by car. The convent is on top of a mountain and it is surrounded by the Atlantic Forest. The view from up there is amazing. I do recommend it.

I have visited the Convento da Penha 3 times. This place holds a lot of history, mostly religious, but the view is breathtaking. You will be able to see the famous 3th Bridge and part of Ilha do Boi ( Island) and the Porto Tubarao. Also parte of Vila Velha and vitoria downtown. People are very friendly, and you can walk up to the Convento or have private ground transportation for R$ 6 reais, which is about $1:50 dollars.

It's a very nice place with a beautiful view, the hike is just 15 minutes and that's not too difficult because the view certainly is worthy. The entrance is for free and if you're religious you may watch the church service :)

Main tourist attraction in Vila Velha. You can get a wonderful view of Vitória Bay, the 3rd Bridge and Vila Velha. Also the convent is one of the oldest churches in Brazil, where you can find the portuguese colonial architecture.

A must do! We walked up the hill and saw many animals, birds, insects, and spiders along the way. The views at the top were heavenly (pun intended).

One of the most beautiful church and landmark in the state, definitely worth a visit during one of the religious holidays. You can walk up to the convent or take a van, and the views of both Vitória and Vila Velha are especially wonderful at sunset.
