This is an absolutely beautiful place to watch a sunset if you are in Porto in the summer months. A large crowd forms and sits in the grass. It is like watching a concert at an amphitheater with a happy crowd and the occasional amateur performance breaking out for your entertainment. At the top near the two large palm trees there are several benches if you don't want to sit in the grass.

I enjoyed it so much here! There were many people sitting there, enjoying the evening and the live music. Some guys go around and sell beer and other drinks, there’s also a bar close. A beautiful place to see the sunset, I really have never seen this kind of sunset in my live. It’s so beautiful. A must-see! If you’re able to go, just go there! It’s easy to get here with the metro!

Came here twice, once during the day, and a second time to catch the sunset on the day it didn't rain. Very picturesque with some great buskers playing music to go with the sunset. Worth the hype and definitely something one should do when in porto

Amazing view, especially for sunset. Nice area to sit and enjoy a drink. However, don't drink too much because the public bathrooms have a crazy long line, no toilet paper, and are disgusting. It would be nice if the city would put new public bathrooms here, since so many people come here every day to enjoy the view.

Very nice garden with amazing views onto the river and the other side of Porto. There was a concert happening while being there which added some more flair. Getting a drink after crossing the bridge and relaxing in the park with that view is incredible and unique!

Such a beautiful place. Metro station is right in front of the place. Very convenient and easy to get to. This place was very crowded and band was playing music. Interesting place to watch people come and go. It offers beautiful views. This is a must visit and you should be able to have a quality time here with your loved ones or friends.

The sunset here is incredible! Find a good spot and enjoy the hours watching the sky change colors as you share some snacks or Port with friends. The place always has locals as well as tourists enjoying the sunset. From crossing the bridge and enjoying the music from street performers, to meeting people and making new friends, this free experience is well recommended.

Beautiful space to watch the sunset with every other person in Porto 😅 Get there early and BYOB. There was a band playing and it was a lot of fun. We stayed until it was well into the night. No place to pee though...

If you are looking for a place where to chill, meet new people and enjoy the most beautiful views in town, then the Morro gardens is your go to place. Located on the Gaia side of the river, you can get there by either walking and enjoying the small Porto streets or by using the cable car. Music is live all the time whether it's a dj, a singer or a group of people putting their music on. Loved spending the evenings here watching the sunset 😍

Quite a steep walk to get here but worth it. People come here for sunset but will be quite dark when get back. Come here in the afternoon and get back down one trip with cable car. Pick the right day temp will be great experience.

The best spot to see porto is from gaia. Great for sunset. Bring a beer or two. They also have people selling them out of a cooler. Nice spot! just come early to grab a seat because it gets busy during the summer

Beautiful views! Someone at our hostel suggested coming out here to watch the sunset, and I’m glad we did! There were quite a few people there, so it seems to be a popular spot. There were also musicians singing and playing guitar, so it was nice to have some entertainment while we watched the sun go down! I highly recommend this spot for threat sunset views!

The park is located near the bridge. There is a metro station near the park. It is open 24 hours. You can sit and relax in this place. It feels really good. The parking place is a bit difficult to find nearby. It is free to enter the park. You do not need to pay. You can see beautiful view from this park. They have small playground for the kids too.

Small park with awesome views on the port side of the city, if you lucky enough as we were, to be in Porto during the festival, try to secure your place there - definitely the best for watching fireworks at night. You can buy nice cachorrinhos from the snack bars on the next side of the road. Good place for chilling :)

An incredible place to hangout with friends (and make new ones). You get a panoramic view of Porto with a breathtaking sunset. I went there during an event with music and that combination between those views and traditional Portuguese tunes made for an unforgettable experience.

Is it a bit overrated? Only if you stay briefly! Try to get glimpse of both day and night time views. The night view may look a bit prettier during busy seasons because more lights would be turned on. But even during off season I still recommend going out there at night time. Don’t forget to walk alongside tram on the Luis bridge. You get a great view from the bridge so it’s a must!

After walking across the bridge, this garden is the perfect place to rest your feet and enjoy the breathtaking view. You can get a bag of roasted chestnuts and enjoy the gorgeous view at the same time. It’s not too big but good enough to have some chill time.

Definitely visit in the evening for a breathtaking sunset and a stunning view of Porto from above. We went an hour early, and it was already crowded. For the best spots, go even earlier. There's live music, a bar, and snacks, but consider bringing your own.

A beautiful small garden with sitting benches in Gaia just near the Luis Bridge. It is more a view point recreational area. In evening huge crowd gathers to see sunset. For their engagement a lot of activity take place including some small mobile cafe. The rope way station is in front. Overall an interesting place.

The right place to watch sunset in Porto. A lot of people gather in this garden around the sunset hours and have picnic etc. Also there is always some music accompanying your sightseeing adventure. The park here is nice. The views here are spectacular. It was pouring shortly after we got here so we didn’t spend too much time here. I imagine the views are better when the rain isn’t pounding you in the face. Despite the rain, there were still many people sitting here and hanging out.

Undoubtedly, the most beautiful point of Porto!! Climb up for the sunset and the most gorgeous views of the city. You can cab it if you don't want to climb. There's a restaurant, washrooms, and a huge park space. We even witnessed a group of rappers, and rope walkers. Sat there for hours seeing the sun go down and the colors changing. There's a beautiful cathedral to climb up to nearby. Or the bridge to walk upto.

Great place to go and watch the sunset with your friends. I’d recommend to get a picnic blanket and sit down on the grass with your friends or your date for the night. It’s usually packed, so make sure to get there at least half an hour before sunset! Also there are quite a lot of steps so it’s not wheelchair friendly.

Get your drinks, get your camera, wait for the sunset, socialize with like minded people around you… One of the first things that you add in your bucket list… Amazing view of beautiful Porto.. As a person who lives here, it's one of my favorite spots. I feel so connect with all the atmosphere, a mix of culture (music) and nature (birds, sun, sky, wind). One of the most beautiful sunset of Porto and you can be able to meet nice people as well. Go open-minded!

Perfect place to escape when the city gets too busy. Sometimes you get the chance to listen to nice live music and forget about the world around. During the evening it's one of the known sunset spots so you have to share your view with others, which is also fun.

Definately one of the highlights of a visit to this beautiful city...the perfect finish to a day out in Porto, especialy if you go during sunset...and if you want a cheeky glass of wine theres a cool little bistro bar right there. Musicians and a great mix of people you will find here as you cross the top of the D. Luis bridge and the view of the douro and ribeira do Porto is breathtaking. 100% come here if you're in town!
