If you’re going to walk from Porto center down the Douro (which you absolutely should, it’s an easy gorgeous walk to the ocean), I would recommend ending your morning walk with lunch here. Ambiance is superb, huge attention to detail, pleasant staff, and the food is really excellent quality. From the capers and olives at the start to the ice cream dessert, it’s a real treat. Veggies looking for a salad break should try the goat cheese salad. Red sangrias for lunch all round, though they do offer white and rose as well. Enjoy!

Also the waiter was very nice and friendly, good service. What was not clear is that when we came we were the first visitors in the empty restaurant but we were informed that we have only 1,20 hrs because everything is booked! Lovely food in a charming location. Situated down by the beach it is nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main town. Ivan and Gabriel gave us fantastic service and there were some real treats on the menu at reasonable prices.

I’ve been to all Brasão restaurants and had the same dish in all of them, steak with cheese. This was the worst 😓 The steak was not in the point I requested, it was super blend with no taste, in general it was not good. And the salad that came with the steak had near to none dressing 😔 which is very sad because the dressing they used on the salad it is quite nice. On the other hand, the francesinha was very good and very perfect. We didn’t like our waiter, he was one of those funny guys that is not funny. And we he asked for our feedback on the dinner he joked that he would hit the chef 🙄 So to finalize, awesome great francesinha, not a good steak. And the bread was also very dry. And even though it opens at 7pm we had to wait a bit (10min) to be able to get in, as they were not ready. I’m sure it was just one of those days! Good alternative for the great brasão francesinha away from downtown ☺️

Nicest restaurant we came across when we visited Porto. Want to start with what a night to remember! This is a group of few restaurants we went to one of them in the Center of Porto and it was very busy. Hostess from there arranged transport to one of their other restaurants and back to centre for their cost. The driver (Sergio) was very polite and explaining different sight on the road. The restaurant itself was amazing! Food, service interiors whole package was very nice. The host Duda ask us questions around our preferences and what are our expectations which made it feel special. The server Gabriel “danced” around the border of being attentive and discrete. Whole night was awesome experience if you visit Porto this is MUST visit!
