I would like to start by saying that only reason I'm giving 2 stars and not 1 is the service. Service and attitude of the servers saved that visit! BUT the food....we haven't had that kind of experience before. This was the first time we sent food back...and we did that TWICE! We had duck breast and legendary schnitzel and friend had a chicken fillet. Schnitzel was okay...nothing spectacular but okay. Chicken fillet was dry and some kind of very specific (not good) taste to it. The horror starts with the duck. First duck was overcooked inside and the skin was like rubber and fat was not rendered down at all (there were no cuts on the skin to let the fat out). Sent that one back. Then the cook probably got angry and just seared the new breast on each side. It was little bit better from the outside but inside...it was totally raw! End pieces were edible but not more. Sent that one also back....server handled the situation very politely and professionally. Third time the same piece of duck was just fried and but back on plate. It was edible and we could finish the dish but nothing more. Duck and beef are two things that show the quality of the place. If you don't know how to cook duck, then please remove it from the menu or teach/change the cook.....

The food is tasteless. From the beginning I’ve started thinking that it might be not the best place, but decided to give it a chance, because of Google mark. The service is bad. We came in and nobody even said hello. We needed to order at the bar. The waitress was eating by the next table. Have never seen such thing in cafes and restaurants before. The drinks are brought in wrong cups. The tea was in hot wine glass 😕 The style is pretty strange and tables with sofas are absolutely uncomfortable. The did NOT ask for COVID-certificates, which upsets me the most. The restaurant is heated by some heater with gas, which gives specific smell.Definitely would not recommend this place nor come again.

Had the fish and chips. It was really fancy for a pub and very delicious. Ordering is done from the bar, which I quite like. Decent service, cozy atmosphere, sensible prices. Recommend.

Dissapointing for what you pay for... I have tried places from Tallinn to Parnu similar type resturants but was never dissapointed. Howeverat this restauranr , the food quality is below par. The schnitzel was greasy, the salad was the best part of this dish. The pulled pork sandwich was oversaturated with some type sweet and sour sauce tasted like it came out of a bottle. The meat wasnt right. The rice dish had no flavor or taste and was very bland. Plus side + You do get free bread and water but thats everywhere. Overall its ok wouldnt be my first choice to eat when i visit Viljandi. Average prices are 9 Euros. Should be like 6-7 euros for quality.

Rude customer service is unfortunately common here. As a customer you can expect not to be greeted with a smile or even a hello. Pretty soviet if you ask me. Strangely, I think this venue encourages rude and abrupt customer service. Many of the new girls behave in a similar manner. Those which are polite don't seem to stick around long. It's been like this for years. If you've experienced the kind of service where waitresses roll their eyes, are abrupt, don't greet you, fail to respond to "aitäh", mock you when attempting to speak in Estonian, walk past you when you hold the door open as if you're their servant - than you know exactly what to expect here. But it's not like this for everyone... You might catch the vibe foreigners aren't welcome here.They seem to treat some locals differently. The crowd is fairly mixed, families, expats and locals... but at other times it can seem a bit rough such as when staff's rowdy friends are in there. For them it's the place to be seen. I recall one of their skinhead friends yelling at a friend of mine while we were "standing in the way" waiting to be served. Nice... As a mutual business client (not just a customer) you can expect to be treated rather poorly too. Even when we're in the same business together serving mutual clients. I have experienced being ignored and then whistled at like a dog. Ironic behaviour... How barbaric is that? This place is severely unsupervised. I've experienced this venue as a customer and a mutual business client. Having visited this venue over several winters and summers, I've grown tired of the same lame customer service and uninspiring food. I've decided to avoid this place as much as possible. There are much better venues around offering better customer service. If you have any kind of self respect and appreciate not being treated like a goofy fool when handing over money - do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. Mulks is just around the corner and offers far superior beer, wine and customer service. Foreigners new to Viljandi please do not waste your time and money here. There are other places!

Very cozy place, with a very cool decoration. The music they had on was incredible, a great success. The food was very good and the quantity generous. Very cheap price, about 10€ per person including the drink. I'm not giving 5 stars because the staff doesn't care much about the customer.

Nice place that is open late at night. Not too loud, OK drink selection and staff even knows how to make some of the most popular cocktails

Based on the ratings, we were expecting something tasty. The first impression was good, as the staff was super nice and helpful. We ordered pulled pork burger and fish. Perhaps it was a bad day in the kitchen, but both the dishes were a disappointment. The food was dry and quite tasteless. The sauce, however, had a very strong artificial flavour. We still decided to go for dessert and the white chocolate cake was good, the cherry cheesecake was very good. Would maybe go again for dessert, definitely not for lunch.

Air conditioner inside, summer terrace outside. The food is nothing fancy, but the taste is good and prices are reasonable. Also the portions are nice. There is no table service, so don't bother waiting for it.

Service was very good, and the food was amazing. I had the 11 euro burger, and it was delicious! Quality of service and food overall outstanding! My only request is if the portions for that burger especially be smaller, we were barely able to finish half of the burger, it is very filling. The only reason why I couldn't finish it was because my stomach was already filled, and very happy, big praises to the staff here! 💝🫂

We went to eat on a hot day. They had air conditioner at the cafe but it was not turned on. We asked to turn it on since it was hot there, but they wouldn’t do it. I ordered fish and chips. It was not fish and chips! Fish was fried and coated with something, but not crispy and not in the batter it’s supposed to be. ( chips/ French fries were ok) Also, there was just mayo for the side sauce. Not tartar sauce. Husband had shepherd’s pie. It was OK, but very small portion. On a good note: free tap water with refills. ( you have to get it yourself) Overall not a bad place but not the best either.

Friendly service and restaurant was nice and they have large terrace. Sadly food was no good. Hamburger had no flavor ja patty was hard. Fries were white and raw.

Ruoka oli todella hyvää ja annos kauniisti lautasella. Ranskalaiset olivat hieman raakoja, mutta onneksi annoksessa oli kastiketta. Tarjoilija oli aika välinpitämätön, mutta tilaus sun muut kyllä toimivat.

I usually eat lunch there.What I like that food there at lunchtime is low fat and always plenty of salad.Service is always polite and there are plenty of seats to sit comfortably.
