Hope the 5 stars speak for themselves. Absolutely beautiful food from start to finish. I was one of several diners who had birthdays there. You can see why - we had a nice table with a view overlooking the river with the restaurant location offering a really comfortable atmosphere. Location itself inside = Modern NY upper east side apartment vibes. The food itself absolutely stunning. Scottish Langoustines to share were just divine. Really well sourced and fresh to taste. The mains also didn’t disappoint at all, vegetable curry had a lovely complex flavour with a slight warmth that didn’t overpower. All ingredients perfectly matched. The lobster and crab roll again well put together - utterly fantastic taste. Staff were wonderfully attentive, really brilliant service. Will be back again without hesitation and highly suggest you give them a go! Price - great for the quality of food you get!

It is always best to book a table at Sam's Riverside - either inside the restaurant or their outside terrace as it can get quite busy. We were in the terrace area, perfect table by the window and had a lovely view of Hammersmith riverside and the beautiful sunset. The staff were polite, attentive, happy and friendly. They always came by our table to make sure we were okay which was very nice of them. They would turn on the heaters too if it became cold and it made the place nice and warm. The food is delicious. It's a must for any oyster & seafood lover. Amazing dining experience. I would highly recommend Sam's Riverside.

One of those noisy trendy places which isn't conducive to conversation. The food (the quality of which I am sure is excellent) on the menu comes with a little bit of this and a little bit of that, fancied up with a sauce or dressing. If you want simple or plain cooking this place isn't for you. It makes choosing from the menu difficult. We wanted to try their daily weekday specials offered at a modest £30 for two courses, but there were only two choices for each course and none were tempting. Really only two choices! We should have left but stayed and chose expensively from the a la carte. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. I chose the fried gnocchi as main, which was Okay but a small portion, with a bit of garnish including some nasturtium flowers (see what I mean about a little bit of that...). The pavlova was good, the meringue not sticky - always a sign of a good chef. Another on our table had the whole grilled plaice which looked good but pricey at £32. The strawberry souffle looked better than it tasted.

Delicious meal at Sam's this evening and excellent service from Nadia too. Being pedantic, the only thing I would say is that it does get quite noisy as the restaurant fills and the duck pate starter could have done with a little relish to counteract the gaminess of the taste, but that's said, overall a very enjoyable evening and the deserts were particularly good so well done the chef that made those and... Well done Sam!!!

Delicious food, upmarket but not pretentious atmosphere, great location on the riverfront near Hammersmith. Better than the river cafe next door in my humble opinion! The crab toasts to start were the stand out. Not to be missed! The duck salad was huge. Hake bisque was good but the confit leek was a bit bland for me. Will choose the haddock soufflé next time! Can’t go wrong either fries. Both of our wines were excellent too. Plus, on the code app if you’re in hospitality! Will be back. (They also do a set menu 5-6pm which is excellent value for the quality). Oh and the service was faultless. Our glasses never empty!

Wanted to try a new restaurant this week and ended up at Sam's. Really pleasant surprise. We loved the "brasserie" atmosphere, the view and the food was on point. Service very nice and helpful too! We will definitely be back

Food & Service was really good. We didn't have a reservation but even though the place was busy the staff accommodate us at the bar. The restaurant is lovely too. Will definitely come back!

As an Italian I like enjoying good food and I reckon this restaurant is very good. There is a large variety of food and there are some very particular meals. For the quality of the food and the view, the price is not excessive. The staff is also very nice and familiar. I always come here when I come back to London

This is without a doubt one of London’s hidden culinary gems. We were at the Riverside Studios - near Hammersmith - to catch a performance of Ulster American, but were quite hungry when we arrived and decided to have something at the venue. We had no idea a restaurant of this quality or sophistication was on the premises. Everything we ordered was outstanding; from the scallops & mussels starters to the blue cheese soufflé & confit of duck leg salad mains. I'd come to this restaurant again regardless of whether I’m catching a performance or not. An exceptional experience all around!

Lovely atmosphere and friendly attentive staff. Liked the menu, it's just enough choice. The food is high quality and extremely well presented. Very tasty too 😋 Pleased to see that local community gardens are a supported charity and a £1 is added to your bill. You can remove that but why would you! The restaurant is accessible through the Riverside Theatre venue which has good levels of access for me, a wheelchair user. With views of the River Thames and Hammersmith Bridge a lovely place to dine - family event, date night or whatever occasion it's a great venue.

Lunch ensued with bite-size crab on delicious soft bread and naughty churros sprinkled with parmesan; the latter a very novel and moreish appetiser. A grilled native lobster was well-cooked, but had a little too much butter and there’s only so much of a good thing that I like to flirt with before collapsing into a sea of cholesterol.

Fancy restaurant in a really nice part of town. Our waiter was very friendly, but the constant shouting of the sous- chef for every new order was not the background music we were hoping for. Yes, I understand in a huge and professional kitchen like this, you need to shout so every station hears the order, but we sat right next to it and it was very distracting. Try to get a table in the front. The food was nice, but you don't get a lot for these high prices. Sides are a must if you want to feel less hungry afterwards, and those make the bill even higher. I don't mind going to expensive restaurants, otherwise I wouldn't have made a reservation here, but usually I feel happier and with a full belly afterwards. I also picked the wrong dish with my "twice baked haddock." I did not expect some sort of mousse, which would have been great on crackers, as an hors d'oevre, but not as a main dish. My friend was happier with his fish (hake, I think?) which had a really lush bisque sauce, but also a small portion for this kind of money. What did jump out, however, was dessert. From what I saw on the menu, and what we had ourselves, I can tell all of them are absolutely delicious. All in all, certainly not a bad experience, but not a big recommendation from me.

Indecently exceptional! The food, the seafood (the oysters, OMG!), the cocktails, the wines, and the staff. Trying to fault them would be an insult to the spirit of this place. What can I say? Yes, just GO! And by the way, there is an Alex at the bar… just eat at the bar only for him. Exceptional as well. He knows his stuff in terms of dishes, wines and before all … cocktails. His service and enthusiasm are out of this island… He IS the bar … Now there are people who don’t like the little bit of this or the little bit of that. Or who have no idea that a Strawberry and Mint soufflé actually tastes Strawberry and Mint … and you know what? Ignore them… they have not idea what good food actually tastes like …

We had a pre Valentine dinner date here. A lovely restaurant set beside the Thames! The interior is pretty and romantic. The food is art here. It tastes, smells and looks amazing! Our hostess was so friendly. We are definitely coming back for a lunch date soon.

Incredible experience at Sam's Riverside. Food was exceptional, service was outstanding, and a lovely atmosphere. We had the parmesan churros, crab toast, beef cheek croquettes, cheese soufflé and guinea foul, and would absolutely recommend. One of the best meals we've had in a while. Will be recommending and cannot wait to return.

Incredible food. Delicious, sweet Irish oysters. We celebrated a 30th birthday and we had a lovely waiter who was very knowledgeable and friendly and humoured our silly jokes about kale. Also recommend the arancini and the truffle parmesan churros. Thank you! 😊

As requested when booking, they kindly sat us at a table near the window with fantastic views out on to a sunny(!) Thames. Service was friendly and attentive, food was top class, lovely atmosphere, & decent price for what and where we were eating. Special credit to all the staff we encountered for creating such a relaxed vibe, it made such a difference.

Great place to go when it’s hot as nice aircon. Interior is very nice. Very good cheese burgers which tasted of dry age beef with excellent fries. Service- fast and efficient. Managed to get in and out in 40mins for the show at 7.30pm

This restaurant is something of an institution in Hammersmith. The food is cooked to a high standard, the seafood in particular is superb, they serve proper cocktails, the wine list is diverse and distinctive. Prices have risen noticeably in the past 2 years but the punters are so loyal and happy that I doubt they’ll notice. Sam’s always does a version of pan fried hake in a cream sauce (pictured) that’s a reliable order. The Sam’s Lager is also a really good draught.

First time here. Stunning waterside location, solid decor and exceptional food and service. The full package. My pork dish main with mushrooms was heaven. Others around the table equally impressed with theirs. Also an exceptionally good double espresso at the end. Hats off to the whole team making this happen. Will be sure to go back before long.

Fabulous experience for lunch at Sam’s riverside. Delicious food and much improved service since my last visit. Helpful advice re menu choices, good initial friendly welcome, attentive and efficient service, they couldn’t have done more for us. I particularly enjoyed the guinea fowl which came pleasingly hot-often lacking in other restaurants. The beetroot hummus starter was excellent and we polished off the crumble and custard to end our fine dining experience. I look forward to bringing more friends again soon.

The food is amazing and the service is amazing as well. We got the steak and some oysters, they were delicious. They also have a wide variety of cocktails and sprits. The only thing is that it was a bit expensive, but it was ok. A nice place to go back. Piece of advise: book a table :)

Lovely place on the river with chill views. Walked in without reservations. Reception was a bit hesitant because they were expecting a large party. Nevertheless they seated and attended us with gratitude. The menu was varied & delicious. We started with the oysters & crab toasts. My favorite was the bone in ribeye. I've never had a more perfect steak. My husband devoured the pork chop!

Wonderful food, Attentive staff, such a special evening! I took my mum for her birthday and had the most wonderful experience, from the moment you enter the staff welcome you & assist. We had the cauliflower soup & Bril which was delicious and reccomended by the waiter. The new potato’s were magic!! At one point I went to pour my wine and the waiter ran over and insisted he did it! Honestly you don’t get many restaurants and staff like this in London. Can’t wait to come back!
