A beautiful beach that’s well maintained and very clean. The sand is soft and the water is warm. The water is also shallow so you can go out pretty far without being that deep. Also, be sure to stay for the sunset. You’ll be glad you did!

Beautiful beach beautiful little Beach tourist town lots of restaurants very trendy and very clean and modern it's got some beautiful boutiques for shopping. It is on the busier side for a quiet Beach town it's almost too busy for my taste. But it is nice. The people there are super friendly the restaurants are great the beaches are big and there's lots of things to do.

Superexpensive and infected by us people in rent, its a lot more expensive than other fancy US holiday destinations like Cancun and compared very ugky infrastructure: streets are dirty and have many wholes, no sidewalks, many have no asphalt, water runs free and more! For that money they make the goverment could at least make streets that are not dangerous to walk on, especially if its so many old people there, but as some local told me people is supergreedy and only look on themselves not on the community, I guess that happens if its too many rich ppl somewhere! Night life also is boring, everything closed at 2 already! Beaches around are nice although!

Hard to beat beach life at Tamarindo Beach on Costa Rica's Pacific coast. Great vibe for people looking for swimming, surfboarding and horseback riding with bars, restaurants, shops, hotels and rental gear just off the beach on C. Central (Main Street). Wonderful sunsets and active night life in season. Check it out!

Very crowded beach. Here you may find some things to do, such us, a massage ($40), to rent a chair with an umbrella ($30) for a day, souvenirs different kind from $5 and up, drinks ( $2 coconat 🥥) surfing lessons ($80), life music, horses, and other entertainment. Super markets, gift shops, a pharmacy, 24/7 an emergency room, car rental, restaurants, and casino are only within 2 minutes walk. The location is incredible, locals are super friendly and most of them do speak English. I saw a family of monkeys with a baby on its back. A lots of squirrels and iguanas. The sunset on the beach a must to see. This is the one of the most favorite tourist destinations in Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

Beautiful sandy beach, great for learning to surf, very safe, although it gets extremely crowded, perfect for sunsets.

Very nice beach that is clean and well maintained. Lots of people relaxing and surfing. Lots of local vendors as well trying to sell coconut water, drinks and figurines. Beach chairs are available for rent too.

Fun beach! Horseback riding. Massages on the beach. Surf lessons. Fun restaurants. Warm water. Calm waves. Fine sand with not many rocks. Can't wait to go back.

If you want to swim in a horse’s toilet this is place for you! We constantly saw horse poop washing into the ocean. Tamarindo is one of the worst places to visit in Costa Rica in my experience. Felt so unfriendly (not the Costa Rican people) but the tourists. They don’t even look your way. Everything is so overpriced - it’s cheaper in California. The main road is so busy it constantly smells of exhaust and is so noisy.
