Palanga Amber Museum is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited! The museum is surrounded by a picturesque park with lots of water ponds, bridges, flower beds and a fountain. The museum itself is a great destination for a family visit! Some nice amber souvenirs can also be bought in the museum shop!

Very unique museum and a must visit when in Palanga. The lady at the reception was extra helpful and friendly so were the tour guides. We just felt very welcome during our visit and would like to thank the staff!

Absolutely magical place, full not only of a huge amount of information about amber, but also very aestetical interiors❤️

We've chosen this place by random click on a map and it was a lucky hit I must say. Very beautiful place, park around palace where you can walk in peace, the palace itself is really beautifully restored. It is very warm inside so you can leave your jacket in wardrobe. Not huge exposition, but it is big enough for amber, it's history and why it is considered as gems. A bit of interaction with looking through magnifying glass to see what's inside of some ambers, that makes you think how much time it took for nature to show us this "photo" of insects trapped inside..

Interesting museum of Amber in a beautiful building. Tickets are cheap. Ambers are in every room. It’s possible to take a look with magnifying glass inside of amber and see different insects.

Everything you ever wanted to know about amber, with beautiful examples. It isn't big, but it is very well presented and everything has English translations. There's also a Coffee shop and garden as part of a museum.

It's a must go when you are in Palanga! The museum holds a large exposition of amber stones in all shapes and colours. It's well explained how amber was created, how and where it is harvested and what is made out of it. I always knew that amber is related to the Baltic Sea area but I never knew that it can be found on so many places around the world. Thanks for the information.

We were not able to visit museum, because we were mislead by their website. We could buy tickets online, however we could not get in as we were 10 minutes late (last visitors can enter at until 18h). So, how come you can buy tickets online after 18h, if you cannot get in? What is worse is that personnel was rude and unprofessional. 50 minutes would be more than enough for us to visit museum, but they did not even try to be pleasant and helpful. Also, most of museums does not work on Monday. I would suggest Palanga city to reconsider it, as Monday all the day rained (its normal in Lithuania) and there was almost nothing to do in Palanga, as everything was closed. Despite that it is very worth to walk outside, nature is fascinating.

Amber museum originally opened in 1963. I remember visiting museum when I was a child in 90th. A lot have changed since I visited as a kid. There are more amber exhibits now. Some ambers are extremely old and valuable. My favourite part in museum is the ambers with insects trapped in it. If you visiting Palanga you must definitely visit the museum.

Nice small museum of amber. Not only a great collection of amber but also very educational. Good for kids of 3-7 grades I think and also adults interested in geology. There is a cute garden in front and behind the building. Their shop is a little overpriced you can buy a lot of similar souvenirs at Basanavicous street for a fraction of the price. They also have a small cafe on-site.

Amber is very important to Lithuania, as an industry and to its culture. This fascinating museum covers both aspects. There are 2 floors of exhibits, and there's a café. Probably not for young children, but older children, especially those interested in the history of Lithuania, should visit.

The exhibition is not very big, but quite interesting, have at least half an hour if you do not like to read descriptions and more that an hour if you enjoy reading and looking into fine details. Exhibition holds not only raw amber, but also amazing jewellery made some time ago and quite new designs. Also a couple of rooms or room settings as the mansion used to be. After the exploration you can enjoy a cup of beverage in a café or check out amber products for sale. The exhibition is available to handicap visitors, and not sure about the parking as the mansion is surrounded by a big park stretching to the sea.

Very well-manicured and beautiful grounds with statuary, a rose garden, fountains. We had some ginger beer, ice cream, and a freshly baked croissant. The prices are a bit high, but would go back!

Very modern museum, with great exhibitions and some history about amber. Was very interesting to learn that amber is not only amber colored and that fake amber exists.

Very nice expositions. Well gathered and presented amber inclusions. Sadly, rude and idle staff. Ruins all experience. Never have I ever seen such museum where pupils run around and shout as in the woods. Stuff just stands and does nothing. Closed amber shop. No one to work but two ladys are there chatting. Bad bad people management. Still, worth to visit.

The museum is small, interesting inside of a impressive building. Very professional the information that presented. The exhibits special and help full like a magnifying glass that helps you see the small details. The location of the museum is magical,in a huge park, flowers, fountains, circling roots, and magnificent nature all over you, recommend you to travel by foo

Sadly there was an ongoing event when we went there, so we could not go inside. But the yard and surrounding parks are extremely beautiful and enchanting. Be prepared for a lack of benches in the park though.

Exposition is not as big as advertised but some interesting items are present. Definitely worth visiting the park, the museum and the Manor. It is only a few minutes from the beach too meaning you can cover a lot in in a single day.

The grounds are well kept. The exhibits are quite interesting especially the amber exhibit with various species embedded in the amber.

The place is extraordinary. The museum is located in an amazing palace with beautiful gardens inside a big park with a plethora of different things to do. The million years old amber containing ancient life is simply jaw dropping. You can spend hours just pondering on the scale of time, life and existence. Totally worth the visit and I would definitely love to go again.
