Spring is one of the best times of year to visit Passau. The weather is warm but not too hot for exploring the City's parks, climb up to the Castle and simply enjoy in the parks along the two rivers.

We really enjoyed walking around and taking in the scenery. We found this park to be very relaxing and the views are calming watching the boat's go by. We were lucky enough to arrive in spring so the flowers were blooming which made it that much better.

Passau is a beautiful town at convergence of the Izz, Inn and Danube Rivers. The Inn and Danube are the most significant and the point where they come together results in a very obvious difference in the color of the water. This time of year the Inn is swollen with water from alpine snow melt while the Danube continues on its gray green (there is no Blue Danube) path. Pretty cool where they meet.

Pictures are all taken just below the point where the three rivers merge together. Passau is a beautiful place at any time of the year.

First time visiting Passau and found it to be a lovely city. It's winding streets and city parks like this one contribute to its charm. I encourage you to walk the shoreline promenade and see for yourself.

We visited Passau today on our river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam. It was small but interesting. There is a large Catholic church. We were allowed in but no photographs.

If you intend to discover Passau then the short walk to Ortsspitz is a must. There are plenty of events throughout the year on the way. Interesting also is to see the rivers merge.

Amazing spot where you can see three different rivers joining. Water from each of them has specific color. Inn seems larger than Danube at this point or time of the year.

The 3 river confluence conveniently intersects with the city of Passau. Beautiful 14th-century Town with many sights. The main Passau square has 2 Cathedrals and a brewery. Lowenbruerei Brewery has a tap outside (with purchase) that is self-service unlimited ๐Ÿ˜€. The jewel of Passau is St Stephen's Cathedral, featuring a 11th-century pipe organ, which is the largest Cathedral pipe organ (18k pipes) in the world ๐ŸŒŽ.

St. Steven's Cathedral is quite nice. Also, interesting castle overlooking the town. Good town for walking. Has a small Christmas ๐ŸŽ„ market.

Confluence of the Danube and the Inn rivers. A nice park in its shade trees in a section of Passau that is free of cars. Marks the far end of any walking tour through the town. The Euro Velo 6 cycling route passes through here making it a natural overnight stopping point. Plenty of lodging and shopping as you gear up for the next stage downriver towards Vienna.

The museum has thousands of pieces of glass. Well laid out and easy to see. There are descriptions in Germany and English, but far fewer in English.

Great place to see the Danube and Inn rivers flow together, have a good view over the other side of the city including the fortress. Here's also a children's playground and public toilet.
