Great hikes for kids! There was lots to stop and see on the way and the trails can accommodate strollers.

Great park. The wildness of nature at every turn. Fallen trees, beautiful ferns, mushrooms, blueberries, raspberries ..... A beautiful place to photograph. Can be visited with a dog. Free toilets available. Lots of parking lots. Great place!

Not my favorite place, but I was not feeling so well on the day. But generally there is a lot to experience and the nature around is fantastic.

A magical place where you can escape into nature. I recommend the summit walk if you enjoy immersing yourself into nature a little more and like to have a hike on the less walked paths.

Alright, love! Let's talk about the Bavarian Forest National Park, a proper treat for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. First things first, I must say that this place is an absolute belter! The lush greenery and breathtaking landscapes will make you feel like you're in a fairy tale. The park is vast and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly as a bag of chips. The park is chock-full of wildlife, including deer, wild boars, and various bird species. The forest is dense, and the trees tower high above your head, providing a perfect canopy that shields you from the sun. If you're lucky, you might even spot a lynx or a wolf on your journey through the park. The trails are well-marked, and you can choose between different routes depending on your fitness level and interests. One of the highlights of the park is the tree-top walk, a unique experience that allows you to walk amongst the treetops and soak in the stunning views from above. The walk is accessible to people of all ages and abilities, and the feeling of being so high up in the air is exhilarating. There are also plenty of picnic spots and benches throughout the park where you can take a break, enjoy the fresh air, and indulge in some hearty Bavarian cuisine. All in all, the Bavarian Forest National Park is a top-notch attraction that you mustn't miss. It's a cracking day out, and you'll be grinning like a Cheshire cat from start to finish. So, grab your walking boots, pack a picnic, and get ready to be blown away by the beauty of this gem of a park.

Plus: Nice nature, free entry (except for a tower, entrance 9.5 eur, if you are sleeping in hotel Dreisonnenberg you've got ticket for 6.5 eur), parking frim 2 eur to 4 eur. Minus: Small number of animals for such a big place, no trash baskets, path signs only in german.

Since the park organisation responded "Only small parts are closed". See attached photo, only doted pathes were cleared, everything else was burried in snow and not cleared. So, not many options to wander around there. ________________________________________ In winter some paths are blocked. On weekends some shops are closed. The place is not very alive in winter.

It’s a great place to be in all seasons and all weathers.

Great place for hiking and enjoying a good weather in the heart of Bavarian forest! If you want to visit the tower, there is an entrance fee of 11€ for adults, 10€ for students and free for children (i guess). These are in my opinion very expensive, comparing what it has to offer. I think most of it will go for the maintenance, which is fair. The place was very clean and organised. Outside of the tower area, there is a huge other area to see different animals. Do not enter if you don’t want to walk that much.
