Very delicious food, friendly staff and perfect facilities

It seems that in Chile there is a sushi place in every corner. This place is different because the owners are 2nd generation Japanese. The Kita's run the place. I have had sushi in Japan, NYCity, everywhere and Tomodachi is right up there.

This is a very good Japanese sushi place. The owner is half Japanese. I have eaten sushi in Japan and many US cities (best was in Hawaii). This is very good except that selection, as in all of Chile, is not as big as in the US. I recommend the chirashi sushi plate for 7.500 CLPs. Just above 10 USD at 690 clps to a dollar. See the photo below. Their bowls (see my previous review) are also good buys.

From the outside you see a simple very small restaurant small and we almost went away. But after going in, we discovered a pretty big menu of different sushi, sushi rolls, ramen, tempura, and rice dishes. The quality of the Japanese food is pretty good for being in Chile. Overall it is a good place to go for a casual Japanese meal.

We had the best sushi rolls in Viña del Mar at this place. Everything is very fresh and delicious and the service is really good. It is one of the very few places that offers authentic JAPANESE beer, that was a big plus for us. The only thing we didn't like is that they need to turn the A/C as it gets a little warm inside.

Great food and variety of dishes. Also, they carry some great, yet simple,wines. Great experience!
