This park situated in downtown Viña del Mar is home to numerous fountains, artistic statues with a charming atmosphere geared towards calm and relaxation. Small pools of water with fountains surround the Plaza, which is home to many park activities. There were, games being played all around us, young adults in love, doing homework on the grass and photo takers like me, marveling at the beauty that is Plaza Mexico. A group of 20 or so, older gentlemen rotating in and out, each awaiting their turn, to play " brisca " , a Mediterranean trick taking card game using a 40 card deck, which I used to watch my dad play when I was just a kid. Overall it was a nice day strolling through the Plaza and its charm. If you're in the area, take it in, you won't be disappointed.
