    Place run down. I walked along the coast on a weekday. Sidewalk in poor condition. Dirty place. People smoking marijuana. Lots of informal sellers. At the beginning of the beach there are many people on the street, disturbing those who are walking. Only the views and the sunset are recommended.

    Many wooden walkways have been removed. The exercise machines and playground games need maintenance.

    This is the north side of Viña de Mar’s beach. It is also the nicest side. Great for a family walk, cycling or running. Worth bringing a picnic, no restaurants nearby for a mile or two.

    Great for a nice relaxing walk wit the family. Great view, a few restaurants, and lots of games and parks for kids to play. The beach here is also great although not apt for swimming.
