Our friends raved about this place and then invited us to dinner. It was outstanding. The food was superb and the service was impeccable. Did not feel rushed at all. Cozy atmosphere with multiple fireplaces. From the time we arrived until we exited the restaurant, everything was top notch. And… it was Valentine’s Day.

Wow do the reviews and people talk this place up. They obviously never go to good steak houses in the city. Our expectations were extremely high. Average at best. Will not go back. The cuts of meat were decent. If you like good wine with your steak do not attempt to go here. The best bottle of wine was awful and about $50...meaning come buy a nice steak and here is your $15 bottle of terrible wine. The cocktails are made with bottom shelf liquor unless you ask for something better. Appetizer menu is almost non-existent. It is not fine dining. It is an upscale diner.

Amazing first time here, regret not coming sooner , queen cut prime rib was incredibly large, I couldn't even eat half. Bourbon selection was nice. Highly recommend the franklinville inn!

Really great food. Extremely tasty and the service is exceptional. This place is quaint. It reminds me of the way things use to be like in the 80's... When you felt safe and going out was ALWAYS A GOOD TIME.

Came here for my 30th and the food and service was outstanding! Everything from the ribeye, lobster tail, and mashed sweet potatoes, to the key lime pie and chocolate mousse was incredible. Highly recommend

I booked my visit two months in advance so my expectations were naturally high… they didn’t disappoint. Our table was actually in a separate room with only two other tables which was unusually exclusive. The only issue was that a large party in another room was a little noisy but they were *exceptionally* loud. Our server Keri was very kind and bagged our leftovers for us. The food was phenomenal. Out of the many restaurants I’ve visited this was the one with the best French Onion soup. My mother enjoyed her chicken very much and more than the usual place she likes it from. My salmon was very tasty and I was really impressed by the side of spinach as well. For dessert I was so excited to eat the rice pudding as I had never seen that advertised before in a place like this, and prepared by the chefs as opposed to servers. It was so good! The selection of appetizers was kind of boring so we didn’t get one. Total bill was $91 and after tip it was $110. Not a bad price for the experience. I think that there are less expensive places to go that offer similar experiences, but the setting is truly one of a kind.

Not a single flaw with our meal. Prices are similar to a steakhouse in the city, but they include salads and sides. Steaks were seasoned perfectly and cooked properly to temp. Left happy and stuffed.

I used to live just 5 mins away from this place when I was in my 20’s. Wish I knew about it then. My wife went recently and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Service was outstanding and food was incredible. I had the ribeye. My wife had the filet with lobster. It’s been some time since I’ve had a steak this good. We also shared a bottle of wine and I had a 2oz pour of EH Taylor bourbon - both very reasonably priced.

What an amazing restaurant. When it takes months to book a reservation you know it’s good. what made the meal is the amazing service. From being treated and welcomed at the door to the server being extremely knowledgeable of the menu, this place is in league of their own. Our server made amazing recommendations and told us about how all the sauces were made in house (the horseradish is the best I ever had). I highly recommend for a great date night.

Lovely restaurant. We dined there for my birthday and the filet was delicious and the mashed sweet potatoes were excellent. My husband enjoyed the creamed spinach. Service was very good. I highly recommend.

Absolutely love this place. Great food and service was outstanding. Had a lovely glass of Chardonnay which was perfectly chilled. The crab cakes, soup and apple pie dessert were delicious!!! It’s my new favorite restaurant ❤️

Lovely place, great waitress, really good food, little pricey. A lady sat next table over and took a phone call, which was not necessary. She had also been searching all day for a Covid test. Not sure she got it or what the results were, but we heard about her exhausting day. It's not the restaurant's fault as the tables were spaced nicely apart. Recommend going there, just be ware!

Heard a lot of great things and was so excited to try this place! We made reservations a month in advance for an early NYE dinner. We ended up having to bring our 1 year old but we’re disappointed to find out they have no high chairs or booster seats for kids. I’m not going to give them less than 5 stars and ruin their good reviews, but if they do not want children in their restaurant this is something they should consider advertising so people like myself can go without their children. So heads up for anyone planning on going…. leave your kids home because they will not be accommodated!

Amazing!!! My husband took me here for our 32nd wedding anniversary. Everything was impeccable. The food was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. You are made to feel important. Atmosphere was inviting and classy. If you go, you have to put your reservations in advance. It was worth every penny!!!

This has been a favorite spot for our family for a long time. It's a very pricey dinner, but the quality is always really good. They have one of the best crab cakes in the area. You definitely have to call ahead and schedule though. Sometimes their waiting list can be over a month

I live not too far from the Inn as its reputation is a legend in Gloucester County... I now know why after 7 years living here. I had a 20oz ribeye that was so tender that it could practically be cut with a fork with a large Baked potato loaded with butter, bacon and sour cream. The steak was seasoned to perfection with my medium rare as per text book dictation. My wife's Sea Scallops with shrimp were delightful, however my steak was interrupting any thoughts of stealing another bite. The service was commendable and very polite and not intrusive for our anniversary dinner. The desert menu was the best I've seen around with each one tempting me with the exception of the Key Lime pie which is just a personal preference. Well done, and will NOT wait another 7 years. Ciao

Franklinville Inn is a fairly new favorite of ours, but last night we celebrated my birthday and had the most perfect experience. The birthday wishes on our way to our table was a great extra touch. Our server, Michael, was sooooo charismatic, kind and attentive. The sour apple martinis are magical and that red pepper cream sauce over crab cakes is to DIE for! I wanted dessert so badly but I could not stop eating my meal and was stuffed. I can’t say enough about how fabulous this restaurant is, and I can’t wait for our next visit.

This is the best restaurant in this entire area. In fact it rivals The Capital grille and I like it better than that. I said that because I know that other restaurant is pretty top-notch. The service is great the drinks are great and the food is just dynamic. I will be going there a lot and my husband too loves it. The fillet tips teriyaki are the bomb!!!!

First time eating here with my wife. It was a pleasant dining experience, friendly and courteous staff. The steak tips were excellent. Had a reservation and had to wait a little longer than expected but the place was very busy so that was understandable. Nice place to go out for special occasions.

The food was great but could've been better, especially having been to any other restaurant lately. The service was great, but my wife and I noticed our server was very soft-spoken and, honestly...creeped us out a bit.

We had a large party (10) people and struggled to make a reservation. The day of our event we were seated on the 3rd floor in a private room. It was perfect for our group. Our server Genevieve was wonderful. The food was delivered quickly and was not rushed. We order the appetizer special cheesesteak egg rolls, the ribeye steak, the crabcakes, and the chocolate mousse pie. Everything was hot upon arrival (minus the pie of course) and delicious. We will definitely be returning.

I planned this dinner months in advance. I live in Florida and couldn't wait to be home for Christmas and go to dinner. I was extremely disappointed. The drinks came after our appetizer, my son ordered a med steak, it was RAW, my husband's prime rib was no where near as good as it normally is and even the creme brulee that I had been dying for was not good. I guess the Franklinville Inn is going downhill. I would rather them raise prices and keep the same quality that they normally have. I raved about the food before we went. My entire party was very underwhelmed by the meal and service.

I very much enjoyed my meal at the Franklinville Inn as did my companions. The French Onion Soup was excellent as was the House Salad that could itself be a meal. My Prime Rib arrived exactly as I had ordered it. The baked potato was a boulder and there was a nice assortment of toppings to choose from. The Key lime Pie was one of the best I have ever had and the coffee was superb. The atmosphere was warm and inviting while the prices matched the quality of food as well as the time we are in. Unfortunately the service did not reach the level you would expect at this establishment and was only mediocre. This was my primary reason for holding one star back from a perfect five. I have been here before and will certainly be back again.

Most egotistical, racist, notorious establishment. Tell us to call to make reservations; their phones are off and their website doesn’t work. Ironic. We walk in and lots of tables are vacant, but the darkness and hue of my skin has the manager and waiters telling us otherwise. Apparently, there isn’t room for minorities! Would never attempt to spend a dime in this establishment even if it was my only choice. I’d rather starve, than be the clown of the show. The manager even had the audacity to lead my party of 5 to the bar saying their could be seats when clearly there wasn’t even 2 seats open. They had lots of vacant seating around the place, but again our skin would say otherwise. Food is not even that good to have an establishment feeling like they could start acting like this. Wish 0 stars was an option. 👎
