The property was close to shops and in a great location. Not too far from anywhere. Check in was great. Staff was friendly. Where we ran into an issue was in the room as it is not updated like the front when you walk in. The room was muggy/wet all the time. We had to keep the air at 65 to try to combat the wet feeling(didn't work just made it freezing) the bathroom floor was not clean, the ceiling had black mold on it. Housekeeping didn't come not once to even empty the garbage or refresh towels. I get it less housekeeping because of Covid but not even the garbage. I probably won't stay here again.

I loved this hotel, not sure what some of the negative reviews were about. The rooms are very nice and clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly and the location can’t be beat. The Braves shuttle is a nice touch, but you could easily walk to the stadium. The pool was cold but I like it that way. The breakfast was excellent too and the overall price was very reasonable. Hope to come back here soon!

This was the WORST experience I have ever had at a hotel in Atlanta!!!!. At $127 per night, I booked a room with a king bed for 2 nights. Arrived on-site to an elderly man with a back brace at the front desk that looked up my reservation, made me sign a Piece of paper in sections HE highlighted, in order to get my room key for TWO nights. I have the confirmation of TWO nights on my phone via email. I get to the room and I'm so disappointed! it's OLD, muggy and outdated! The AC is on and blowing HOT air (it's 91 degrees outside by the way). I go back down to advise him that the thermostat isn't changing the temp and the AC is blowing HOT air. He changed room to the room next door and gives me One room key. First, the bathroom is dirty. I sprayed a half-can of lysol all over and wiped down everything!!! Dirty! I bleached the tub, dirty! The shower head and handle were rusty and loose, there was no tissue paper, the blinds didn't work to roll down the shade, the bed was HARD, uncomfortable and squeaky, there were dust mites everywhere! Just filthy! But whatever! I am Here just for work and for 2 nights only! I leave the room at 9am and return after 6pm. I pass the front desk and go straight to my room that was CONFIRMED for TWO nights, yet my door key didn't work! I go back down to the lobby and the Elderly man has a paper ready in his hand telling me that I overstayed ONE night in the room and that I would have to sign a new reservation for an extra night. I showed him that I booked for 2 nights and paid for 2 nights pending on my credit card. He gets an attitude and slams the paper on the table after I asked for a supervisor. He then says that I need to call a reservation number because he doesn't see anything booked for TWO days even though I am showing him the confirmation! He kept insisting that I signed the paper HE GAVE ME for one night! He refused to get me a manager or the corporate number and told me to call someone named "Patel" at 9am! Then he walked away from me mid-sentence, completely ignoring me and yelled for someone named "Cynthia " to come and deal with me! Very unprofessional and rude! This man yelled at me in the lobby, ignored me, and called me names! Then I showed Cynthia, the lady who suddenly appeared from the back, my reservation confirmation for TWO nights! Tuesday through Thursday! Today is Wednesday! She confirmed she saw with her two eyes, TWO days but said that their system showed I reserved only ONE day! She refused to give me the number to corporate and told me to " Google it". Then she tells me She had to go home to her family and I'm wasting her time as I asked her to get my belongings out of the locked room. Finally I get to the room, retrieve my things and booked at a WAY BETTER hotel across the street! I am not staying anywhere I feel disrespected and ignored! She told me she is going to charge me for the extra night since I didn't check out at 11am when I had a reservation for 2 nights and didn't even stay 2 nights! I felt very unsafe being there so I left. When I was walking out the door, Cynthia acknowledged that someone manually keyed in my reservation incorrectly but never took accountability. They made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Never in my life will I ever recommend this place to anyone! The worst experience ever! From the rude staff to the dingy elevator and old rusty rooms! I hope the manager sees this and address this unacceptable behavior!

I stayed on business at the hotel for one week. I had a room with a king size bed, full couch and a chair. My room was at the front of the hotel facing highway 285. Unfortunately with the location of my room and the spotlight for the parking lot outside the room, made sure the room stayed well lit throughout the night. This problem was solved by taping the curtains to the wall to prevent the light from coming in at all. The bed had a firm mattress. clean white Crisp sheets clean floors no dust. Bathroom was a tad small but was a five piece bathroom. Water pressure looks like medium but the water did get extremely hot which I appreciate. Fixtures were very nice. We utilize the conference room while here conducting business the only downfall is the amount of plugins available for computer use. While on brakes from our training seminar it would have been pleasant to have more outside benches. Side note this hotel is across from the braves stadium and a short easy walk to the game with a waffle house and a Wendy's within short walking distance as well. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

First of all, the front desk person was very nice. However the rest of the stay was not so good. The remote didn’t work and we had to spend time getting it working again. The AC alternated between blowing hot air and room temperature air. We turned it off and it continued to blow hot air all night. We got linen for the sofa bed and had to unmake the bed this morning and return the linens in the same bag they were given to us. Which makes it questionable as to whether they were clean in the first place. Then this morning there was no sugar or creamer/half and half for the coffee. They told me to just use milk, but there was also no milk. They brought out a few cartons of milk, but they were expired and chunky and spoiled. I asked the person working in the kitchen area if they have any fresh and she said “no” and walked away. All in all, an experience we would expect from a hotel that was 70 a night instead of almost 300.

This was a horrible experience. Money keep being taken out my account having to refund. Charging for a service dog. The manager and front desk employees have horrible customer service. The attitude soon as picking up the phone is ridiculous. They held a $50 dollar deposit stating it was dog fee. Their dog fee is 250 which they charged while we stayed there but got refunded because again we have a service animal. After 3 days of being rudely spoken to, the manager said we will refund you, good bye then hung up. Save your coins guys, they don’t deserve it.

this hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and it has one of the best free breakfasts I’ve had which includes a tasty biscuit & gravy. My one complaint is the beds need updated. very firm and well used. Hotel beds typically suck so I am not going to blast em. The pool is basic but good enough for the kid. this area has so much around it really was a steal for the price.

Has all the basics of a 3 star hotel. The breakfast is minimal and the amenities exist, but are not maintained well. Rooms are comfortable and the AC is good. Location is the key selling point.

Your run of the mill hotel. They aren’t a bad place to stay at all and are incredibly affordable too for the location. I didn’t have any issues while I was here and you have a Wendy’s next door for quick access to food. The only thing I didn’t like was that there was no decoration to the hotel. You walk in to a plain white room that makes it look like it’s supposed to be temporary when it isn’t.

+ Free public parking. Refrigerator and microwave in each room. Check in was very quick and pleasant. - I called room service and asked for more towels they asked me to come get them myself 😩. A very strong perfume smell when I arrived. ( smelt like a cheap motel). Strays smoking (smelling) like weed and hanging out in the lounge as you walk in. Room was half cleaned. And felt very dirty. The A/C and heater hardly worked. The door to the room does not lock behind you. I won’t be back or recommend this area for over $250 for 2 nights.

Surprisingly comfortable beds and pillows. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. Forgot my shower cap and they were able to give me a complimentary one. Toilets are a little tricky to flush. Continental breakfast and ample parking also walking distance to a few dining spots.

The hotel and the facilities were nice, fun, and easy to access but the reason I give this hotel such a low rating is because when the hotel bus drove us to Battery Atlanta it was fun and everything until I tried to call back for them to pick us up and I was left on hold for 20 minutes so we ended up just walking back, also keep in mind we’re three young girls walking after the sun had gone down in Atlanta. Not only were we left stranded but when we came to the hotel to speak to them about it the front desk lady ushered the driver to speak to us. When I had expressed my feelings to the driver on how I was feeling he was speaking of low staff and how she was overloaded with work even though she was laughing and looking into the distance with a smile on her face. If I had known that the bus isn’t reliable than I would've never taken it. (also the water pressure is terrible and pool is disgusting).

On Friday, 12/29/2023 at 5:45pm, myself nor my daughter were greeted upon entering the building. When I left no one said a thing not even the worker sitting at a dining table across from the front desk. There were TWO employees at the desk staring at their computer screens or cell phones as though they couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge our presence. In the hospitality industry, that is utterly unacceptable! There’s a reason this hotel has a 3 star Google rating & I’m sure my brief experience was just the surface of their issues & bad impressions!

Honestly, our experience was solidly "OK." There were positives and negatives. First, on the positive side, the location was good for us. It seemed to be a relatively safe area with decent access to various parts of the Atlanta Metro. It allowed access to a lot of the attractions without spending hours in the car, while still being affordable and not having to pay for overnight parking. Additionally the breakfast was quite good for this class of hotel, with the options rotating a bit. It's not fine-dining, but if you can't find something you would would satisfy you, then you're probably being a bit picky and have trouble at a lot of hotels. Also, our room (which admittedly was on the top floor and away from the elevator) was pretty quiet as it relates to noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms. In general, the room seemed for the most part clean. On the negative side, the thermostat didn't seem to actually control the A/C unit in our room. It was constantly running even when turned to the "off" position. This didn't seem to cause too much issue for the first couple days (as the temperature was relatively close to what we set, and we assumed it just wasn't quite keeping up). On the last night, though it got quite cold in the room. We tried changing several things to no avail. Fortunately we like it a bit on the cold side to sleep anyway. The unit was also quite loud. Hopefully the thermostat control will be fixed for the next guests of the room. Another issue was that there was a street light not far from our window that the blackout shade still let in from the sides. Relatedly, all of the pillows were too thick for our family's liking, and the beds were OK but not great. Additionally, the indoor pool was super cold. So cold that my kids didn't stay in long (my wife and I decided to not get in at all), and they didn't want to go back after the first try, which is saying a lot. It seemed as if the heat pump was not working at all. All-in-all, it was definitely far from the worst hotel we've ever stayed in, but it also had decent room for improvement.

I stayed here for three days. The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful. I had two separate reservations & they handle the transition smoothly. I didn’t have any crazy concerns but I know they would’ve handled them well if I did! One day I was rushing and couldn’t find my do not disturb sign. The associate at the front desk quickly said it was no problem she’d let them know I didn’t want service. When I came back I had an do not disturb sign on my door. Even the small things they handled well! Tub could use some updating & the cars get loud but great service! If you want less noise just request a room on the back side.

The property was easy to access, close to the interstate, easy parking and the room was very clean. The breakfast was plentiful and the front desk was welcoming and competent. To be honest, for the price we paid I was not expecting the property to exceed every expectation. It did...would not hesitate to book again.

This is honestly one of the most disgusting hotels I have ever stayed at. The first room had no air conditioning and there were, what looked like, poop stains on the side of the mattress. The second room that they gave us had a bloody finger print on the wall and a lot of boogers smeared on the wall not to even mention the mounds of hair in the corners of the bathroom. stay away from this hotel at all costs.

This is my ATL "go to" hotel and I'm NEVER disappointed. The staff is great, the breakfast is extensive and the rooms are HUGE, clean and comfortable. I'm always happy with my stay.

Check in was quick and easy. Customer Service was Excellent. The hotel lobby, room was clean. Breakfast buffet was good and had a variety of hot /cold items to choose from. Great location lots of shopping and restaurants nearby!

Our room was clean, and the staff was friendly. The bed was super comfy! Great location. The indoor pool was cold and dirty. There is so much negative feedback about the pool, so I don't understand why nothing has been done about it. Also, check in was at 3 p.m. We got there close to 4 p.m. The line was so long to check in, and then we had to wait on our room to be cleaned. One elevator was out of order and the other sounded awful! Ice machine on our floor was out of order. Bathroom sink did not produce hot water. We didn't try the breakfast, but it smelled good. The room served it's purpose for one night, but I would not recommend a lengthy stay here.

Nicely remodeled! Great breakfast area to eat or work. Ice located on all floors that I saw. Nancy, the manager on duty was incredibly hospitable. I will absolutely stay here this summer for Braves games! Room was very spacious and comfortable. The mattress was great, bathrooms were clean! Comfortable furniture and nice tv!

Good for a solo overnight trip to The Battery. The fixtures and decor could be updated. However, at one-third the cost of the competition inside The Battery, it's a fantastic value. Plus, there's a Waffle House right next door.

Rooms and service was great. Hotel was clean and well kept. Only downside is it is next to a very busy interstate interchange and was a little noisy. I would however, stay here again good hotel for the value.

  • 2/5 Brian & Caroline H. 7 months ago on Google
You pay 3 star prices you expect that. This hotel is not 3 star. Only 1 elevator was working, with an expired inspection certificate - it felt very rough and scary. Our floor didn't have a working ice machine so you had to travel to another floor, don't worry though, you have 1 elevator in a fully booked motel you can wait on. Room was okay, but the A/C unit was SO LOUD it would shake the room. Bathroom wasn't very clean and you could see some mold around the base of the shower. Pay a little more and go to the Sheraton across the highway.

I will never stay at this hotel again, I checked in around 2am after a very long day, and needed a place sleep, which I paid almost $300 to check in. I was placed in room 202 which was a master suite. The room didn’t have AC, the guy came up from the front desk and attempted to fix the AC by replacing the batteries but that didn’t fix the issue. I told him that I was starting to feel sick being as though the room was very muggy and that I couldn’t breathe very well. He moved me directly across the hall in room 201 which I thought was a better location but this Room also didn’t have AC as well. So finally, I asked to speak to management, but no one was there at the time. He mentioned that he will let them know what had taken place and decided to put me in another room which was 212. Being as though I was there 2 days with no air you would think that management will allow me to stay for an extra night free of charge. I was told that they couldn’t do anything for me that they don’t do anything for free. This was so unprofessional and I paid my hard earned money.

Never again. I never been to a hotel not even the most cheapest hotel ever and pulled the cover back and saw roaches. Yes roaches in the bed. I literally almost died. I just could not believe it. I will say when we went and told them they immediately tried to put us in another room. I declined , my husband was so sleepy he begged me can we try another room. He went to check out the other room and it smelt so bad like mold and mildew . We IMMEDIATELY LEFT and was refunded. Everyone has their own experience mine was very bad. Honest Truth .

I stayed at this location earlier this week for business. There was 2 people staying in the Double Queen room. The bed closest to the window was extremely cold because the air conditioner was huge on the inside of the room and looked like it was 2 feet into the room. The air just shot over the top of that bed. The carpet was nasty dirty in the room. Also, the right side elevator was not in service and was not marked as such. Then the front desk team member required me to sign a pre-charge for the room, which was not an issue, and then they tried to get me to sign a $50 deposit in addition to the room rate charge. I have never experienced that with any other hotel. I am not sure if all locations of the Wingate are similar and I do not plan to try them again.

We stayed here for the Braves game. The stadium and several eating places were within walking distance. The staff was very friendly. I did have to request more towels and washcloths but they were readily available. I was surprised at how clean everything was, the room and lobby. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. The kids used the indoor pool and it seemed well maintained. The only things I didn’t like was that there was no ventilation in the bathroom so it got real stuffy and there was no hair dryer in the bathroom. The room though was very spacious and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

This place is really good. Everyone is very nice and accommodating. Shuttle across the street to the game. Clean rooms. Can't give a perfect rating to a basic hotel though. 8/10 equivalent seems right

  • 2/5 Randall T. 7 months ago on Google
Rooms are decent however you'll need earplugs to drown out the interstate if you expect to sleep. Breakfast was terrible! It would take too much space to describe the filth, spoons and spatulas being handled by snot nosed kids, cold eggs, no bacon or sausage with the eggs, just a piece of cold ham. Save the headache. Stay elsewhere and eat out! You'll thank me...

Let me start off by saying there is no other place to go like the Wingate at Wyndham. Their staff is very welcoming with a warm smile and professionalism. If there are any issues prior to your arrival they have already worked it out for the customer. They always go over and beyond to make your stay a “GREAT” one.

This is our first night of three and we have had several issues! The hotel has s very convenient and it is clean. The guy at the front desk is very nice. The USB ports do not work, there’s no trash can in the room, the ice machine on our floor doesn’t work, there was three tissues in the tissue box, our key cards didn’t work our door. We asked for a do not disturb door hanger and there were none to be found. I hope the next two nights are better!!

Clean room that seemed recently updated and good location near Cobb galleria. The front desk staff aren’t that great, though. They seemed bothered to be there. The guy working the desk on the morning of 8-28-21 was pretty pathetic. I asked if we could be shuttled to the Cobb galleria since he said it was not a safe walk for my small children and he absently said, “yeah when my manager comes in.” Then walked off and completely ignored us for about 10 minutes then disappeared. He made no attempt to communicate when that would happen. So after waiting for 15 minutes or so we decided to just walk. The overall attitude of the staff seem to be not very helpful or friendly. The woman working the breakfast was pleasant, though. She worked to make sure the food stayed stocked and was helpful any time we needed her assistance. The pool towels were always gone and the pool was filthy by Sunday.

  • 4/5 Kevin W. 2 years ago on Google
Great hotel, very nice and clean. The front counter staff were very courteous and friendly. The only problem I had is the house keeper opening the door with out knocking. A gentleman 2 floors up was complaining about the same thing, how the maid ignored the (do not disturb sign) and open the door with out knocking. It seems to be a regular thing with them. Therefore, I will only give them 4 stars.

Hotel was nice and the rooms were clean and with no odor. The customer service was great and the breakfast had a lot of options & it was actually good. The pool definitely need some love it didn't look very inviting and had an very unpleasant aroma. The gym was nice. Some equipment didn't work properly but it was still able to be use without the motorized part working. Overall I enjoyed my stay. I was in a double queen bed room and it was awesome. The cable package was great also with a lot of channels. A/c got very cold just the way I liked it. I didn't use any wifi so I can't comment on that. The location was prime. Everything was around us. Food shopping highway entertainment. The view we had from our room was amazing also. It was a view of the highway and the bridge's and the main street with the braves light up bulletin board. It was the best at night. Also the drapes did an excellent job of keeping the light out while you sleep no matter if it was day or night.

Walking into the hotel the appearance was clean. The rooms were clean. The bathroom was clean and the bed was clean and super comfortable. The hotel provided free breakfast it was good. The hotel is also surrounded by a lot of food restaurants. The Cobb Galleria mall is 1 minute you could walk there that's how close it was. Overall I would stay at this location again!

Please save your money and book somewhere else. I made a reservation for May 4, and the front desk was not friendly. I was greeted in a manner in which she seemed upset that I was disturbing her. The $50 incidentals fee was not disclosed until check in and she admitted that it's not on the website. I don't mind the fee, I just want to know prior to booking. I went to look at the room and it was far from clean. There was a ring of dirt in the bath tub, grease stains on the desk and couch. When I brought this to their attention I was asked to be put in a clean room or refunded. The front desk attendant grabs her keys and says "let me go look at the room" . Ten minutes later she comes back and states that she spoke with her manage and the owner and was instructed to refund my money because I would't be happy in any room they have. I was very shocked, all I wanted was a clean room. Well I took my money and my reservation and went to the Country Inn and Suites which were very accommodating. Please book any other place except for this hotel.

Place was located near braves stadium which was great! Convenient location. A lot to do in the area. I had a wonderful stay. Not a far drive into Atlanta. However the girl told me a 50 dollar hold was being placed on my card….. It was a almost $400 hold. That was a little inconvenient but I enjoyed myself. Had it not been for the almost $400 hold I would have given 5 stars.

The location was perfect, if you are looking for a place to stay to go to a Braves game it’s great and they also have free shuttle to the park. That is about it. The Elevator would not work on second floor, our room had no towels, and no extra toilet paper on the bathroom and the one available was almost over 🙄. There was a horrible smell on the bathroom, the bathroom ceiling was horrible around bathtub area. The safe was not working, and at breakfast the waffle mix holder broke on us spilling the entire mix all over.

After alerting the front desk that the air and safe didn't work, we were told a maintenance person would correct the issue... nothing was ever done. Upon check out, we told the desk again that our air and safe didn't work last night... no I'm sorry, no apologies, no we'll make it right.... she told me "I'll make a note of it." Laughable service, save your money and stay somewhere else.

It was clean with comfortable beds. Smoke smell kept coming in through window air conditioning from people smoking outside on the ground floor as our room was on the 2nd floor.. It needs sound proofing to outside. Traffic noise was terrible even from the back side of the hotel. Pool water was very cloudy, and the area all around smelled strongly of mildew. Wide variety for breakfast, but they were stingy with putting more out, so it took a long time waiting to soo if something else would be replenished.

The hotel was clean. The room was good and the bed was comfortable. The ceiling bathroom was peeling a bit. The breakfast needs some work. It was not enough food put out for 2 of the 3 days of our stay. Overall a nice place to stay.

The rooms are really nice and spacious. However, be prepared to have your room key deactivated every other day. Not sure why this is happening because two keys on two separate people should not deactivate at the same time on multiple occasions. Neither of the keys were near a cell phone at any time. Not buying that excuse.

Perfect place if you don't feel like driving after enjoying yourself at the battery. I didn't take pictures but the presentation of the beds was beautiful. The restroom was clean. Both public and private.. and the products in the bathroom is take home worthy.. the rooms were really spacious. Decent view.

The first first night we were here there was a water leak in the bathroom, water was pouring out of the ceiling and vent fan. The second night we were here the smoke alarms went off and everyone had to exit. Turns out it was a false alarm. These incidents made it a bad experience but the location was great and the room itself was really nice. A/C was very cool.

Above average sized rooms with a little sitting area. Most of the facilities have been recently remodeled. The bathroom was a bit small but serviceable. The pool was meh and extremely cold, would not recommend. For a hotel, the TV's in the room are actually pretty nice and modern. Being right across from the Battery is certainly convenient!

Very close to interstate and Braves field! NO noise which is huge and rarely found with a location like this. Great breakfast. Super friendly staff and they offered discount at check in since they were aware of upgrades doing in room and wanted to accommodate before I had an issue. Couldn't have had a better stay. ( Do wish the pillows were fuller) THANK YOU!

I’ve stayed here on business for the last three months and I always choose to stay here due to the incredible customer service and hospitality from the front desk staff and housekeeping. They go above and beyond every time and I am treated like family. The rooms are always clean and fresh, beds are comfortable and breakfast is always good. Incredible view of Truist Park and easy access to great food. Thank you Ravi, Kenesha, Tina Marie, Nancy and the complete staff! Highly recommend the Wingate!

Zero stars! I booked two queen beds 8 MONTHS in advance. I did mobile check in at 12pm the day of check- in. When we arrived later that evening, tired from a long day, we were shocked that the room had only a king bed. I have a middle school daughter who does not want to share a bed with her parents. My reserved queen beds were not available. The person at the desk offered to separate our family by offering another room with a king bed, but separating our family of three was not an option for us. We pulled out the sofa bed and there were visible stains. They rolled in a hard, uncomfortable cot which my daughter had to sleep on the night before her national theater competition. She had a terrible night’s sleep. I was told the night of check in that the next day they would upgrade our room to one with two beds. When we returned to the hotel later that evening, Kenesha told us other people booked in January and that our confirmation, which I had in hand from booking in MAY, did not matter because those rooms were given to the people who booked in January and that it was computer error. We were told by Kenesha that if we wanted a room with two beds we would have to pay extra. With all this going on, the manager, never attempted to reach out to us. We will be returning for the next theater festival a year from now, but we will not be booking with Wingate. There were numerous families from our group who also stayed at Wingate, after our experience they have no plans of returning either. Wingate was easily the worst part of our trip. We even checked out a night early and drove home so all of our family could get a restful night’s sleep.
