This is a quaint American traditional and seafood bar and grill. This is a very family-friendly restaurant. This is a good place for a hearty meal. They serve pizzas, salads, burgers, and seafood items. They have a simple food menu, but there's something for everyone to enjoy. Everyone working here was friendly and welcoming. The place is clean and standard. There's limited indoor seating, bar seating, and covered outdoor patio seating. There's a full bar with a good variety of beer options. They also have a self-serve wine option. I had a very delicious lemon drop cocktail. I sampled their French onion soup, and it was just OK. I tried the very savory sweet Thai chili glazed salmon. I enjoyed this plate and recommend this entree if you like salmon. I was told the bourbon mushroom and onion burger was also good. Prices are reasonable for quality here.

Good first time experience. The food was good. Loved the bacon wrapped shrimp. Very attentive staff. The restaurant has a beautiful decor and it’s very clean. I recommend this place.

This was a pretty disappointing experience to be honest. The restruant was practically empty but they still put us next to the only 2 tables they had so we could hear everyone's conversations. The back seemed to be used as a server hangout area for some reason even though they had a ton of extra tables back there. The food was really disappointing. I got their "award winning" burger but it was just drenched in sauce and *way* too sweet. My fries weren't even cooked all the way through and some were still cold in the middle. They were also out of wings, which is what I had planned to order, but our server didn't let us know until we were ready to order. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I would not come here again.

Listen! Dinner here was the food HIGHLIGHT of our vacation! Everything we had was absolutely delicious! Wings, pizza, scallops, sweet chili glazed salmon, kale/asparagus risotto, Broccoli cheddar soup and last but not least you MUST have the chocolate cake so leave room for it! I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area!

The food and service was great! My nephew ordered the sweet chili salmon and he said the sauce was fantastic. I had the Chicago Southside pizza and it was great. It was loaded with toppings I was full and I still had over an half pizza to take home.

Love this locally owned Americana food. My daughter's favorite is the Piggy Pizza! Always great service and food. Outside pet friendly patio with fans and wind/rain guards when needed. :)

I dined here two years ago while on vacation and wanted to try it again tonight. Ordered the ribs with bacon mac & cheese and green beans- delicious! The mac & cheese is probably the best I've ever had. My husband ordered the mushroom burger and loved it. We also ordered the peanut butter/choc pie and wanted to lick the plate. The only thing a bit lacking was the kids' meals (burger sliders were burnt but I should've just sent them back). Ashley was our waitress and she was wonderful! Will definitely return again next time we come to the area!

Ashley was a suuuper sweet waitress. This is the first time we've had brussel sprouts on the east coast that were not cooked to death! Perfection there. I would highly recommend all the dishes we enjoyed including the blackened tuna starter, the salmon with risotto, and the brussel sprout side. πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ Great menu variety, perfect quality for the price, and beautiful setting. Well done.

I am a chef myself so I rarely am 100% satisfied with food when going out, but this was probably the BEST food I’ve ever had while out to eat ( in multiple states) and worth every penny. They even took my crazy request of adding scallops to my chicken and waffles. πŸ˜‚ They also let us have our dog with us in the outdoor seating area which was a triple positive. Finally, our server Jeremiah was absolutely phenomenal, beautiful laid back experience. I’d insert my review 10 times over if possible.

I should really save 5 star reviews for only exceptional places like Firebrew - would give em 6 stars if a could! You can really tell they put an emphasis on unbeatable quality and service, literally the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. All the food was great as well - wife loved her BBQ bacon-wrapped shrimp, wings were fantastic, burger was great and cooked perfectly, meat-lovers flatbread was amazing. Excellent drink and dessert options - mimosa flight was fun! One of our new favorites, couldn't recommend it more!

We were walk-ins late on a holiday weekend. We sat at their bar while we waited for a table. Several good local beers on tap, including Young Veterans, Smartmouth, Reaver beach, and O’Connor. The bartender was pleasant and helpful. The waiter, Josh, was friendly and attentive. He offered suggestions and helped direct us through the menu. The manager came by our table twice as he made his rounds. He tried to answer my question about how the chef achieved such a perfect sear on their scallops. They were seared on just one side to a golden brown with just a hint of crispy. We ordered the seasonal seared scallops and the shrimp & scallop Florentine. Both were delicious. The scallops were perfect and the shrimp were so tasty. The Florentine was my favorite. We loved the flatbread and the seared tuna apps. We left with several boxes and vowed to return.

Wow! Absolutely amazing food! I got the sweet chili salmon and it was so delicious. The bacon wrapped shrimp and salmon bite appetizers were really good.

The owner, Dean, gave us a top notch experience. We had two small special requests and he handled them immediately! My husband and I were both very impressed! And, we're hard to impress with all of the competition out there LOL! We also had attentive yet not intrusive service from Wendy! Along with our cocktails, I recommend the Piggy Pizza. Although everything on the menu looked fantastic, and we will definitely return as I can see this will be one of our local favorites.

This was our first time at Firebrew and I am thrilled to say it won't be our last! The staff was warm and welcoming and especially our waiter, Sean, who took great care of us. The atmosphere was light and casual. And the food was phenomenal! The thai chili salmon and the flat iron steak were excellent! We can't forget the tuxedo chocolate cake...Absoluty delicious! Thank you for an awesome evening Firebrew Bar and Grill! Until next time...!

This place looked fantastic online, but it was so small inside, the waiting time was 45 minutes, the people inside waiting were sitting on top of each other, no one had on masks, and no social distancing! THE 2ND TIME WAS A CHARM!! I WAS SO EXCITED TO EAT THE FOOD, I FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE BEFORE I STARTED EATING!!!πŸ˜‹ The key this time was going around 4-5 o'clock because the place was almost empty! My server was so nice and gave good suggestions and was very attentive! I had the baked wings with this incredible tasting sweet tai chili sauce, 1/2 rack of baby back ribs that fell off the bone.when I touched it, potato wedges from the oven, and the cheesiest mac and cheese that's baked in its own individual dish! I was so full and satisfied especially after drinking a nicely made margarita 🍹, I had to pack some for home! I even came home with raspberry cheesecake that I'm eating right now that taste fantastic! I'm glad I gave it another try!

Went here recently and we had amazing service. The food was good but nothing to write home about, the service however more than made up for that. We got the chicken and risotto, black and blue steak and pasta dish, and a salmon and rice dish as well. They were all pretty good, but nothing blew me away except our service. In my opinion the service the makes or breaks a dining experience and our server definitely made our experience. We will be back! Wish I could remember her name but she was a wavy haired brunette. Definitely give it a try!

For starters, the spinach and artichoke dip is outstanding. Huge chunks of artichoke and the β€œpita points” are just the right balance of soft and sturdy (for dipping.) The tuna bites are also delicious! When asked how you’d like them cooked, just ask for β€œbarely touched.” This made sure they were warm, but just barely seared. A lot of places don’t get this right, but Firebrew has it figured out! The Shrimp and Scallops Florentine was divine. Couldn’t recommend it enough! Very fresh and very well prepared all around. The ribs were a hit; I didn’t try them, but I was told they were amazing. That said, burgers should be taken off the menu. Very dry, surprisingly bland, and overall subpar meat quality. Both people in our party that got burgers were not satisfied. Very surprising for a β€œbar and grill.” The Key Lime Pie is also nothing to write home about; not bad, just not great. Overall, the service was impeccable, though drinks do take a little long to arrive from the bar. The meals were all fantastic, aside from the burgers. The final price isn’t terrible for the quality either. Will definitely be back, will just make sure to steer everyone with us away from the burgers!.

I got the ribs (pictured) and my wife got the ribeye. The ribs were fantastic! Love the honey BBQ sauce. My wife's steak was nothing special but was good. The fries were weirdly kind of burnt but kind of under done (they tasted fine though. It's a product of being roasted rather than fried). Owner is a navy veteran and has lived in VA Beach since around 1998 (according to the bio on the table).

Had a great time at lunch today. Service was prompt, the food was fresh and delicious. The size of the salad was perfect for my appetite. Pizza was all the right textures in all the right places. Clean tables and Bree made us feel like old friends. Can't wait to go back so I can take advantage of their special bonus items from FB messenger!

First impression was a very organized and nice staff. The food is a little on the higher end for price but well worth it. I will be recommending firebrew to others! Can't wait to come back!

Words cannot describe how stellar this place is! First, the staff are beyond friendly and accommodating. Second, the atmosphere is so inviting! You can really tell they care about their image. Third, their dedication to excellence is obvious. We sat right by the kitchen, where you can see everything. What interested me in specific, though, was an employee, I'm assuming the BOH manager, put his eyes on every single plate coming from the kitchen checking for absolute perfection and quality. He took his role very seriously and I was impressed to say the least. And finally... the food! Just eat it. It was delicious. I don't care what you order here, rest assured it will be superb. I ordered ribs, and I would get them again and again!

Service was good and the food was delicious. Went during restaurant week and had 3 course meal. Everyone in my party got something different so we could have a little bit of everything. The ribs were tender, chicken was moist and the chili, bacon wrapped shrimp and brussel spouts were all good. The shrimp and grits had a sauce around it that I didn't like but overall everything was good.
