We tried the Pungo Boys BBQ while on vacation and oh my was it good! I had stalked them on their FB page and knew what I thought I wanted. But when we got there it was hard to choose. The lady told me to come around the counter and the guy in the back started to pull out trays of cooked meat for me to see how big they were and to help me choose. We thought that was awesome! I just had to try a Dino rib and it was great. We also had brisket, pulled pork and burnt ends. The sides were mac and cheese, coleslaw and cucumber salad. Guys the meat was excellent and worth a second trip back for it. But that cucumber salad was the most awesomest thing I had while on vacation! The mixture of the herbs, tomatoes and cucumbers was amazing. The sides are also personal size as far as I am concerned and if this is all your having get the larger sizes of sides. Great food and great people!

This is some of the best BBQ I’ve had in Virginia. This local small business makes everything in house and provides top quality meats, sides and even makes their own desserts. Their pulled pork was moist and tender and the 4 sauce choices were homemade and delicious. Mac and cheese was super cheesy and saucy. Brisket was smokey and pulled apart easily. I’m definitely going to go back!

This is a BBQ place that takes pride in their product! Outstanding and exceptional. We tried this out on the recommendation of my sons friend. Got there before close, and my husband wanted burnt ends but was out. No biggie, we ordered the pork, pork bean, and Mac and cheese, and it was beyond delicious. The owner came out and chatted with us, and before we left, he handed my husband a small order of burnt ends he put together at the last minute. I highly recommend this place!

Today we sought out a new bbq place & after utilizing google we found Pungo Boys BBQ and of course, we looked at the reviews... all of the reviews for this dining establishment were great and... THEY ARE 100% CORRECT! The sauces and sausages are all made in house & taste great! My boyfriend got the smoked sausage platter and I got a pulled chicken BBQ sandwich. The food was mouth watering, truly one of the best BBQ places I've been to in a while. If you're searching for some feel good food, go give them a visit! The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They have seating inside and a few tables outside as well.

Workers were great and so was the food! Brisket was excellent! The atmosphere was nice I loved the decor in the restaurant as well. Pretty decent sized menu and everything we ordered was good (ribs, brisket, Mac n cheese, collards, hush puppies). They have an array of house made BBQ sauces that were delicious too.

I absolutely love this place. The food is off the charts good. The baked beans are like none other. The sauce is a really good. Everyone was real friendly and I just love the atmosphere! We'll definitely be back.

Online I saw a rating of 4.9 stars overall; the person who didn’t give this amazing restaurant a full 5 out of 5 needs cultured and another set of taste buds!!! Hands down one of my favorite BBQ joints I have ever ate at; perhaps my favorite brisket I have ever had - it wasn’t the fatty parts - perfectly smoked and tender. I had ribs and smoked pulled pork. Everything was fantastic. Their sides - baked beans was a combo of different beans and it was perfect. The sauces - I loved them all; the fire sauce could have more “kick” but I’m a big fan of extra spice. If you are in the area and need a meal - THIS IS IT.

I can't remember the last time I had a half inch slice of brisket be so tender! It literally was falling apart in my sandwich. Not only was it tender it was juicy and not dry at all. A great Google find today and one I'll definitely be going back to for local amazing BBQ!
