This sushi is DELICIOUS. The sticky rice is perfect too! Each roll I’ve had has been thick and full of ingredients. I usually get a volcano roll and an earthquake roll and would highly recommend them both. The volcano isn’t that spicy, which I like )but if you need spicy, you should ask for more). The rolls aren’t huge like at some sushi places, but I’ve never felt like I didn’t get my monies worth. They always give you free cheesecake and/or a free roll of some kind. The delivery is cheap too! And the delivery and to-go packaging is nice and secure and keeps the sushi well separated and contained.

Overall a great lunch, the server gave us a few freebies (edamame, some fried dough) it was quite slow in there. Delicious sushi and rolls the eel is my favorite 🤩 the inside was well decorated and super clean which is always nice. Reasonable prices and a lunch menu until 3!

The quality of sushi here is very good since they don’t try to pack on too much rice and leave out the filling. It’s always our go to sushi place when we are in Virginia Beach. They always give you free items whether it’s a roll, edamame or dessert. Highly recommend for sushi lovers.

7year+ customer. Decided to remove my previous 5 star for two reasons . 1. I don’t want to deal with politics when I’m going out to pay for expensive food. If the hostess/waiter wants to wear a mask go for it but wear a one that shows you are careful about your health not your politics, actual n99 mask that works(to a degree) not one to parade your politics 😡. One person out of the ddozen in staff, clearly a personal choice to send a message. Can’t stomach it. I would give her a zero tip if had the heart 2. The food is and has always been decent but it feels like I’m eating nothing but rice. It’s still delicious but I’m mainly just eating a ton of rice. Yes, I understand everything’s getting more expensive, thanks to above mentioned voters however this is not a Buffet. PPrefer to taste actual sushi not mostly rice…..at this price point.

I paid for the Dreamer roll and received this only crab one :( the dreamer has spicy salmon so I’m disappointed I drove all the way over to get something I didn’t pay for.

I am not a fan of sushi, but my husband and son are. They absolutely love this place. If you can go during the week and take advantage of their "lunchbox" special, you won't be disappointed. We have been given complimentary sushi rolls at every visit. The atmosphere is quite cozy and well decorated. Gina helped me find something on the menu that I absolutely love (shrimp yakisoba), since I'm not a fan of sushi. The food is always presented very nicely.

A beautiful newly renovated building for this already charming sushi shop! Super delicious food with a really great lunch special. I come with my fam all the time and they always throw us something on the house. All the rolls have great flavor and the fish is always fresh. The atmosphere is also very Japanese with the tranquil music and newly renovated decor.

First time trying Yama sushi, salad was very fresh and the asian dressing was pretty tasty, *(be warned it does have peanut butter in it)and delicious. Though waiting on refills for drinks was a bit exasperating, finally had to call attention to it from the wait staff. I had the Hawaii roll and Golden Shrimp roll, my partner had Fire Chicken. I've eaten a lot of sushi and have never has it made with Marin (sweet rice vinegar) just didn't taste right. Made it right.
