We have never been to a seafood buffet but the food here was absolutely amazing our little girls wouldn't eat enough for paying that much for a buffet so we got them their own little kids plate which is only $10 a piece. Us and all of our older children got the buffet. Everyone absolutely loved the food, went back for more, got dessert and loved it as well. The place is very nice, great for casual or date night or family night even. It is a little pricey, but it is well worth the cost! You get what you pay for!!! Definitely recommend!!!

Was in town for work and a good coworker suggested we try this place. He said it won’t be cheap but it has great service and it’s got good quality all you can eat buffet. He was right on the money. Super clean plenty of seating that’s spread out for convenience. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the food quality was excellent. We had a large party of over 10 and we’re easily accommodated. The seafood dishes were all great and the large king crab was the show stopper for most of us. If you don’t want seafood there are plenty of other American style dishes to satisfy just about anybody. Can’t go wrong here but you will spend a little bit extra but you are definitely getting what you pay for at a place like this. Cheers!!

Very nice seafood buffet. Price is "market price" so it fluctuates, but for us it was $47 each. The assortment of food was great, and it was all very good. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend Captain George's.

The restaurant is very big and well decorated. The staffs were helpful and friendly, no “very” here. There were huge food selections from appetizers to a variety of seafood to desserts. The snow crab legs was one of the highlights of the restaurant. They were at a fairly large size, some tasted sweet. The other dishes were OK. Compared to other buffet restaurants, the food quality here was better. But buffet is buffet, it is not as good as a regular seafood restaurant that you order your food and eat. Including the tax and tip, it is about $60-$70 per person. I think I may have a much better meal in a regular restaurant.

At $50 pp, the food and atmosphere better be good. It was! Selection was amazing. From all the salads to the entrées and the rounded dessert items, there's plenty to eat for the seafood lover as well as the non-seafood lover. But make no mistake, the draw is the king crab legs. I love the crab meat but it takes too long to dig it out, put it in butter and eat enough of it to fill you up. I helped my daughter crack some open while I tried all the other options! Dress is casual. A great part of the meal was the service and the beautiful ceilings and decor. We would only go there once during our vacation (lots of food) but we will go back again to make it tradition. Relax, sit back, check out all the options before grabbing a plate, and just relax.

$50 all you can eat! I will say the food came out super fresh, constantly being circulated. Desserts were fire, crab legs were great, all kinds of options and even some for those who don't like seafood. I enjoyed the buffet a lot! Atmosphere is crazy, very big and cool. Service was good too.

Awesome experience! Not just a restaurant, definitely an experience. The buffet is expensive, but totally worth it if you come hungry. The prepared foods are good but still buffet quality. The real star of the show is the all-you-can-eat Alaskan snow crab legs, and they do not disappoint. Delicious! The service was great. Highly recommend if you're looking for seafood while visiting the VA beach area.

I love Captain George’s for the variety of Seafood items and dishes you can try. They do a good job with keeping the dishes filled. They have a sanitizing station and gloves at the start of the line, however it’s not enforced and some people walk past it and get in line. As long as you care for yourself and sanitize before eating you should be good. Bar area is clean and the servers keep your drinks filled and check on you often. Disappointed that they don’t have the ice cream machine as I have always loved ending my meal at with a twisted cone when going to the other locations. This location also has a sports bar area if you want seafood and watch the game.

Delicious!! Vegetarians steer clear! This is a fish and meat place! Crabs legs, fried oysters, steamed mussels YUMMY! The pork bbq ribs, the roast were tender! The side choices were basic (green beans, mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese etc.) but tasty. The salad bar was bleak, not good topping choices at all. Easy to get to, really decent prices and my goodness GREAT!! Service is attentive but not too overbearing! Even the merchandise is on point! $200 for 4 satisfied people!!

For atmosphere, I mean, it is a buffet after all. However, it is, in our opinion, one of the best buffets we have ever been to. We come here for Thanksgiving and in the summer. The food has always been refilled quickly and hot. If it wasn’t hot, we asked them to bring us fresh [whatever it was] and they made it for us and served it. The drinks have always been a little heavy handed which is great if you enjoy alcohol! We usually don’t eat the other items in the buffet, we are seafood lovers. Crab legs, mussels, clams, crab legs, CAPTAINS BUTTER, fried scallops in Captains butter blend, and hush puppies. At Thanksgiving, Tim had the oysters and said they were delicious and plump. This place is totally worth the money IF you eat seafood. Did I mention their crab legs and Captains butter blend???!!! Oh, and their custom stained glass window is gorgeous!!

Good food, the servers were very pleasant and kind and great! It is $50 each per person for the buffet. We had a few picky eaters/small eaters with our group and was able to order food off the menu which was cheaper. The kids menu was perfect for my daughter who doesn’t each much. The other people in the group ate plates, and plates full of seafood from the buffet, they all loved the food. This was our first time here, our server that helped us out, and kept checking on how we were doing, was named Travis! He was the greatest!! One of the teenage picky eaters who got the buffet never had a crab leg before, and Travis made sure he tasted one before we left. Which he ended up them liking it. 👏 Travis was a great gentleman that made the atmosphere so much better!! Place has a variety of foods on buffet and menu to order! Definitely will come again!

As a solo diner, I enjoyed the bar atmosphere. I had a simple chili and queso/chips instead of a meal. Both were delicious - including the fresh chips! I will be back for a real meal!

Where to begin! Service excellent, food excellent, atmosphere excellent!! I must say the Delmonico Steak, is by far the best steak ever, tender, flavorful. Our server i believe her name was Bryce, she was very attentive to us, polite Thanks for making our date night a pleasure!

Amanda R, our waitress on today, is amazing!! Her smile, she answered our questions in a pleasant and professional manner. She gave my niece everything she asked for. She was quick at clearing our plate waste basket. The one that is placed on the table for easy disposal. The atmosphere was perfect, the music, the lighting, the decorations all came together. I, all 5 of us, will definitely come back again. This place is to die for!!! I am 😊 happy.

Would not consider this fresh seafood. Unless you are going for unlimited crab legs do not waste your money on the buffet. The temperature of the food was not adequate and the salmon, Maui, fried fish and fried shrimp all tasted like frozen then re-cooked product. It was very slow business wise due to tropical storm so maybe the old taste had to do with not enough customers there to keep the food consumed in a timely manner.

Just Georges is not fancy, just good food. You can either order from their menu or go to the unlimited buffet. I ordered Snow Crab from the menu. Perfectly cooked - I'd say succulent! Sides must be ordered separately since this is listed as an appetizer. Our table also got a Delmonico steak and a juicy cheeseburger. Everyone left happy, full, and with a steak doggy bag. It was the most expensive item on our tab, but was enjoyed for two meals.

This is the place if you want some great seafood! Put a 📌 and a hook 🪝 in this place for some fantastic eating. The staff was welcoming and friendly and ready to assist you getting seated. The buffet was something that I only dreamed about, but the meal that I chose was off the chart...a nice green salad, topped with cheese, tuna, tomatoes, bacon, and a side of shrimp. It was sooooo good! You got to go there! Check out my pics and follow me for more round about on Virginia Beach.

Clean, comfortable, fancy but still casual buffet. Best crab leg buffet in Virginia Beach. We’ve went for years and refuse any other buffet. Worth the price and wait! Though going later in the evening has avoided long waits. Service was wonderful! Especially being it is a buffet.

Enjoyed a buffet dinner at Captain George’s Seafood In Virginia Beach on a Saturday at 5:30 pm. Like other Captain George’s you can expect an extensive buffet with a wide variety of options. Finding something isn’t hard. Service is quick to clear plates and replenish drinks. The atmosphere is fun as the exterior has some great themed showpieces and each room/space in the interior has a unique feel and style. If you want to avoid a wait arrive before 6 pm on weekends. This location has many rooms with many tables but this is a very popular restaurant so lines will get long during prime time and the restaurant will feel overcrowded. Regarding the food, it’s all about the Snow Crab legs. If you like Snow Crab legs, then Captain George’s is a MUST visit. They have unlimited supply and constantly refresh it so there is rarely any wait. They are good quality too, so you will enjoy them. The food rating for this review is driven by the fact that most people come here for the Snow Crab legs and their great, but if you’re not a Snow Crab leg fan, there are still plenty of other options. However these other options shouldn’t be the reason you come here as they are mostly average and your enjoyment of them will vary greatly based on personal preference. As a Snow Crab leg fan, there will be many rerun visits!

Fantastic, my kids that never had crab legs and they loved it, obviously the price sucks, the benefit outweighs it. General buffet but plenty to choose...obviously crab legs and blue crab galore, so if u come better be ready to eat your fill. The young lady serving us too was absolutely great, kept telling us not to rush as we came in about an hour b4 closing, dont recommend but we did have a great time. We did have issue of not having refills being brought as fast but defiantly a fan favorite restaurant in my book, will be back next year.

Seafood galore! If you love crab legs then this is the place for you. I came here for an early dinner on a Monday. Good variety of seafood options from fried clams, oysters and shrimp. The Cajun boiled shrimp & crab legs were too salty for my taste, plain crab legs were a better option. Save room for dessert, there are almost as many varieties as the seafood. The salad bar was sufficient.

Our must stop in VB. Doesn't matter which location. Food is always hot, fresh and plentiful. Tons of seating, friendly wait staff, great drink menu. I recommend the Governor's White, we get a bottle every visit. Haven't ever ordered off the menu so can't speak to that, but the buffet has tons of seafood options and some other meats and plenty of sides, salad bar, dessert bar etc. Even though it's huge, it does fill up, so expect a potential wait at dinner. But so worth it!

Celebrated my birthday there tonight. Our waitress Jesse was amazing. She was on point with everything! Left her an awesome tip. The food was okay. It was better before! I still give it a 4 🌟 because of the crab legs and Rockefellers!😁

The atmosphere was great. Our server Haley did a great job of making sure we got what we needed. The dish I choose was delicious.

Been a while since we've been here. The crab legs were plentiful, but just kinda blah. Salad bar was great, veggies were well prepared. Fried seafood had an off taste and was mushy not crisp. Haley was our server and she was top notch. It will probably be a long while before we venture back. Virginia Beach has plenty of places with better seafood.
