The stay was terrible. Checking in took forever and they only have one luggage cart. The hotel overall is really dirty, smelly and the floors are sticky. I brought my own bedding and towels. Laundry is expensive and honestly anything over $45/night is an overcharge for a stay at this location. There were several roaches in my room and it seems as if the room had never been cleaned. Highly disappointed businesses are proceeding this way with everything going on in the world.

While I was gone handling a very important matter out of town after I had been at this place for God knows how long. All of my things are discarded. Mine you I left a credit card with authorization form before I left so everything would be paid! However it was said nothing of value was in the room! Nothing of value?! So not the Xbox, the printer, my vacuum, my daughters bike, our clothes, shoes, my ring/band, the items I bought to cook with! None of these were of value! Let’s not talk about the roaches or the disrespectful staff. The fact that the bed was broken and we’d been asking for it to be replaced for months however there’s containers behind the hotel with mattresses in them. Or let’s talk about the staff that should be and is technically on call overnight but when guests check in they can’t after 11 until some ungodly hour because the on-site manager is at the same club that I’m at. I manage a hotel and this for sure is extremely poorly run. It’s definitely time for Sandpiper Hospitality to step in and put someone in place that is actually capable of running this place because Jay ain’t it!!!

Stayed in a room infested with roaches, was unable to reach anyone in the front desk. Meanwhile around 1030-11pm I go to my car to smoke a cigarette and the ambulance, police and fire department showed up to where I had to wait approx an hour before going back in. The beds were unclean and super uncomfortable, and the tv barely worked. I waited for someone from front desk to come so I get could a refund and stay somewhere else. Overall not a great stay. The bathrooms were also covered in bugs. There were people awake and loud screaming in their rooms next to mine to where I couldn’t get sleep, and I’m a traveling nurse. Very disappointed.

This is a pet friendly hotel and it shows. The room we stayed in smelled of pet pee the entire time even after management "claimed" to have shampooed the carpet when we left for a few hours it made it worse. Roaches, Roaches, Roaches everywhere. The staff was friendly but they really need to fix those issues above. My husband complained and the company offered us some points for our stay. I will NOT be staying here again. Very disappointed especially given the Stars this hotel has.

Absolutely horrible. Booked a room a week prior and when we arrived at checkin time, the room was “being cleaned.” We ended up waiting for 3 hours and were never given a specific time it would be finished. The people at the front desk were no help, and made no effort to ensure the room was prepared anytime soon.

This is a terrible hotel has roach and beetle infestation. I would not recommend anyone staying here. The rooms smell like wet dogs and the shower water doesn’t get hot. The white lady at the front made me uncomfortable. The Manager Anibal Roche doesn’t do her job and lets her guest suffer. Roaches everywhere and beetles are all in the kitchen. They have homeless people living here and crepes that watch you. Overall 0/5 I do not recommend anyone to stay here please find somewhere else to stay there many other clean hotels in the area.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Firstly, when we checked in we immediately seen roaches all over the first room and the smell wasn’t very pleasant throughout the hotel, a musty smell. We went to the front desk complaining about the roaches asking to just change rooms.. the comment he made was unnecessary and was very unprofessional saying “that’s why I told you to check the room first” Sir, the room is already supposed to be checked and ready to be provided to the customer in a well state… They did give us a second room but the second room had a broken toilet, The Bathtub had a ring around the tub, very dirty. more roaches then people in-house, most of the sockets or plugs didn’t work in the room, A None working TV and the beds at this hotel isn’t very comfortable at all. This hotel definitely overcharges, shouldn’t be no more than $50 a night. I will never be staying at this hotel again. Great location though, a lot of places around it to access easily. 1/5 stars.

The hallway smelled like smoke for a non-smoking floor. The room overall was "clean", except for the fact that the dust on the blinds was so thick I could've written my name on it. The clean, white towels, and washcloths were more of a cream color. At times the toilet wouldn't flush. There was a dirt ring in the tub, and the vanity was not clean. As many of the reviews mentioned roaches, I did not see any, and it may have been because I slept with every light on! I will say the front desk clerk was nice. This was my first, and last time staying at this establishment!

Overall a good place to stay compared to other affordable extended stays. The front desk is very friendly, professional, and helpful . The location, near Town Center, and less than 20 minute drive to the beach is very hard to beat. At first ,there were a few room related issues with a defective TV and damaged door, but these issues were fixed . A few bugs were also noticed (however, they are spraying recently)...BUT, aside from that, my room is pretty good considering the price , with satellite TV , good storage space, kitchenette, and comfortable beds .

Due to booking difficulty, we were charged an extra day for no reason when we didn’t even stay the day we were charged because we were out of towners had to get back home. We didn’t even get the room we requested and were put on a full bed with no pillows and a sheet like blanket. The room smelled like mildew, and the A/C didn’t work. No towels were placed in the room for showering, and front desk made checking in more difficult then it already was. After trying to explain what happened with the booking, they pretty much just said sorry and left it as that. 100%, don’t recommend this place.

We will never return to this hotel!!! The room was damaged drawers were missing , refrigerated was damaged and rusty, bugs everywhere, no air flow in room. The room had two queen beds but only get two pillows per bed. The property seem to catered to long term stays not as hotel for families for weekend. I had to check my bags and wash everything being afraid to bring bugs home

Roaches everywhere. I came with my 5 month old daughter to find out Woodspring was infested with roaches. Even though the front desk staff did move my room 3 times, there was still many roaches seen. The first room I had even had a dead roach in the bed. Second room after being in it for 1 hour I killed about 9 large roaches. Then the third had baby roaches crawling on the headboard. Just unacceptable. After contacting the front desk regarding a refund I was told they didn’t give them and that they were aware of the infestation. If your choice is Woodspring suites or your car, trust me sleep in your car. I’m disgusted and pissed I spent almost 100.00 to sleep with roaches.

So far so good, with the location is away from main roads, therefore is pretty much quiet & not congested in & out, room's are fairly clean ample room with 2 queen bed that we got, easy accessible to guest laundry, vending machines & of course the elevator..

Management and customer service is outstanding! New manager Keisha is working to fix any problems and updating rooms! Of course as any place it has it's ups and downs but every place does! Overall a very good experience for me

I would not recommend this hotel. They have roaches coming out of everything. The elevator broke so I had to carry all of my things down three flights of stairs. Most of the staff is rude. They also charge outrageous fees if you have a dog. The carpet in the room was super sticky. The sheets were not clean and there was a dead bug on the bed when I got there.

My husband checked into his room and found bugs. Not one, not two but over 11 and all over. I called, stating moving hotels and want our money back. Front desk agent was like yeah did you return the keys... um he went to the desk, maybe didn't hand the keys back but, the main concern should be about the bugs! He was told to call Priceline... because he booked with them... awesome. We want the money back and you should be paying for the other hotel! When I asked, no we don't do that.. okay so at the hotel for a funeral, check in, bugs, and you except people to stay? Gross!!! No no no

Nice and quiet. .location. Antonio is engaging and very resourceful. A customer friendly check in and out. I enjoy the privacy and peace of this location. Will definitely stay there again!

We woke up in the morning and found roaches in the bathroom and kitchen, on the chair and the extra bed. They didn't have an iron or ironing board in the room. The phone in the room didn't work. The room smelled like someone had peed on the carpet. There were no curtains over the blinds to keep the light out in the morning. There was no ice machine.

The rooms were dirty and I had at least 10 bugs in the 2 days I stayed there. You do get a kitchett, but they dont provide breakfast. The laundry machines were broken, and the front desk said couldn't do anything about helping because it's run through a third party. It's a nice location to drive around Virginia Beach, but it's way overpriced considering the bugs and laundry being broken.

Very nice hotel. It's in a neat location near Mt Trashmore & the Downtown Pembroke area less than10 minutes away. The staff is super accommodating! My room was clean quiet having a room with a kitchenette and full refrigerator was a great plus. Enjoyed my stay!!

This was the worst place I ever seen in my life. Let me start by saying this has nothing to do with the staff. They are amazing. The only good thing about this place is the staff. Now let’s get to the hotel. The fact that they charge $459 a week is insane. You are paying that fee for roaches, nasty carpet, nasty smells throughout the place, dogs barking, broken refrigerators and heaters. We had to move twice because the heat was not working, and they only have one maintenance person for the entire hotel. Then we had to move again because the refrigerator was not working too. The two essential things in the room broken. They were going to be move us into the room next door, and that heater was not working either. The hotel is fairly new, it’s insane how run down everything looks. They really need to have this place deep cleaned and ensure everything works before moving you into their rooms. Trip advisor had them at 4 stars, you will have to be paid for a review for them to have stars. Don’t believe the lies. Save your money and go stay somewhere else. If I could give them negative 20 stars I would. Lastly I asked to be compensated for all the moving and inconveniences we he and I was told the upper chain would not give us any discounts off the room for our trouble. Which is very sad. They had the nerve to raise the prices after I paid for a week in advance. I thought that was laughable. You haven’t fixed anything but you are charging more money. Thankfully I did not have to pay the extra money. Save yourself a migraine and look elsewhere. To the upper chain of management don’t come on my review with the I’m sorry for all your troubles. The only thing I want to hear is a partial refund for all the trouble you had. Anything else you can keep to yourself!

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel unless you are okay with a subpar experience, and are only using the room for sleeping/showering. Multiple guests, including myself, made complaints about their rooms to the front desk staff, and were not handled in a timely manner and the staff was dismissive. Pros: -Centrally located between Norfolk, Virginia Beach boardwalk, and other local attractions. -Kitchenette was convenient for bringing back meals. -Air Conditioner worked well throughout the stay. Cons: -Bed was uncomfortable and the frame was bent in the lower right corner, making it feel a little unsafe. -Bathroom toilet seat was loose upon check-in, and the tank did not always fill up after flushing. -Cigarette smoke smell permeated from the lower floor to our floor, which was designated non-smoking. -Front desk staff were not easily accessible or helpful when expressing concerns. - Frequently found small bugs such as crickets and other beetle-like insects primarily in the bathroom. -Our room was clean at first glance, but we noticed the floor was sticky in places, and there were stains on the wall.

Me and my friends were killing roaches all night!!! We were too scared to go to sleep during our stay. We brought pizza in the room and not even 10 mins later theres a roach on the pizza. We checked out earlier than we were supposed to do to the roach infestation. The rooms have a bad funk and the halls smell like dog and smoke mixed together.Don’t recommend!

Nope. When we arrived, the front desk lady seemed high AF. Got to the room, checked the bathroom and the toilet was clogged with Sh*t so we had to ask for a plugger since they said they had no other rooms for us to go to. Then there were roaches, the shower has no curtain, there’s no pillowcases. The beds are comparable to sofa bed mattresses. Should’ve been a cheaper stay honestly.

You could smell weed throughout the building. I had to get a refund due to roaches in my room. Couldn't stay overnight because it was bad. They gave me roach spray...unacceptable. This should be taken care of before someone stays there. There were people who live there which made it bad. Will never reserve there again.

0/5 DO NOT STAY HERE. We came down from Massachusetts. Long drive tired just looking forward to relax. We were there for LESS than 40 minutes. Floor in room was filthy. I wiped it with wet towels TWICE and the filth was disturbing. Bathroom filter was clogged with dust from probably MONTHS of not cleaning. Bathroom door looks like it was punched in, broken. The screen on the window was broken (we have kids that's dangerous). The fire alarm was hanging off the wall. There was MOLD and a piece of BROKEN GLASS under the bed. We have a dog, which the fee was $240.00 extra. We left and the manager refuses to give us that money back. WE LEFT because of the conditions of the room. They say they pride themselves in cleanliness, BS. We will be taking this up to corporate. We are staying at the Candlewood suites now. Much nicer staff, CLEAN, and definitely worth the $175 difference in price. Plus it was only a one time $75 fee for our dog. THIS one gets 5/5 stars for sure.

This is actually the worst place that I’ve ever stayed. The front desk staff is never accessible, the microwave went out with no attempt to replace it, there are more roaches than people. I had to go by bait stations to control the roaches in the room. The only good thing about this place is the location. Housekeeping only cleans the rooms when someone checks out. Take your money and go else where!!

My stay there will the first and last time I book with WoodSpring Suites. Best thing about this place is the location close to the city center. The beds are terrible; think old-school spring beds and sleeping on a box-spring nothing more, the power goes out one side of the building from time to time apparently (said someone who appeared to live there, which I experienced first-hand), the elevator will stop working on occasion (yay for the emergency stairs✊️), try calling the front-desk from your room to for 6 or so times before someone picks up, and there is more I could add but I'll stop there. So, yeah, NEVER again...you get what you pay for....😑. But to those who had a better experience, more power to you!
