Well where do I start.... When my wife and I pull up to valet we are promptly told that service is no longer provided. When booking a hotel we look for specific amenities and services. So that was the first let down. So now we check in at 3:50pm, check in starts at 4pm so we're doing great. Wrong, the room we booked with ocean view is not available for another hour🤔. We finally get to our room and our ocean view was a sliver of a view if you smush your face to the glass and strain your eyes hard to the left you will see some water. Our view was of a building under construction. Speaking of water, none of the vending machines have any water bottles in them either. The bathroom floor when wet, some sort of brown liquid seeps out. So after your shower your ready for sleep, think again.. Every door in the entire hotel slams like a submarine hatch. Good luck with that peaceful night sleep. For almost $500 a night , definitely not worth it.

Checked in this evening only to find out that my “suite” is right next to the elevator, with a window right next to my bed and the parking lot within feet, a balcony that is overlooking the construction for the most and the parking lot and a tiny side view of ocean. Super noisy from all aspects. I’m honestly so very upset. The manager said “sorry”we are at full capacity. Clearly customer service and honesty means nothing to this establishment. He is forced to comply with these this type of service or is he? I rarely even complain but I feel like this shows greed on behalf of this company. I even prepaid for breakfast and that was a surprise to the young lady checking me in. She said you can come back by to get those vouchers? Maybe you should offer to deliver them?? A thought? And really, I paid extra for a suite experience not what I’m being shoved into. I understand staff shortages etc, but what I don’t understand is being basically robbed of the hotel experience that I paid for and then simple told I have to deal with it. I’m concerned about the other surprises I might run into.

I would rate it higher if they took care more of the guests. I left the note saying that it was our honeymoon. They confirmed that it was noted. But while we stayed there, they didn’t care and didn’t do anything for us. Plus, I had to ask to change the blanket after I saw yellow spots on it and the bathroom was dirty and had no napkins as well. The service needs to be so much improved! I also heard one of the reception girls to be very nice while checking in the guest, she told everything about the hotel, what’s included and so on. When I was checked in, another reception girl just gave me the keys and that’s it. The service should be equal for everyone since it’s not a cheap place to stay.

I stayed at this hotel for business purposes. Things were rocky initially as the valet and front desk staff weren’t the best. However, the bellman Doug was phenomenal and provided stellar customer service. The following day I went down and spoke to the hotel manager Tamika. She was extremely helpful in rectifying the situation I had experienced the night prior. Things turned around and I had a wonderful stay. The hotel is beautiful and the location is great. It’s on a quieter side of the beach which is nice. The amenities are great. I recommend staying at this location.

This hotel is beautiful. It was the best birthday trip my daughter and I have had so far. We were so excited when we arrived at this beautiful place. Everyone at check- in was friendly and helpful. We stayed a extra night because we weren't ready to leave. Tulu and Becca restaurant have really good food. Our room was nice new and clean. Having access to The Cavalier hotel and shuttle service was great. I can't wait to go back.

This hotel is absolutely amazing. Stunning. I love whoever thought of making the Marriott sign clearly visible from 17th Atlantic street! Safe, secure, modern, and very clean cut. I would stay time and time again. Room is true to size and looks. Front desk manager is SUPER elegant and sophisticated. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. Restaurant staff was sweet and attentive. Housekeeping was very thorough in cleaning and super friendly. Only complaint: the room service breakfast wasn’t worth the arm and leg. Potatoes were unseasoned, eggs were delicious and I ordered a kids breakfast. Based off my order, the kitchen should’ve added extra napkins

Overall, this was a perfect romantic weekend getaway from the DC area. My spouse and I came without the kid and felt like we got a great beach resort vacation. It very much felt like a resort in the south such as Florida. There are palm trees and beautiful pools with easy access to the beach. Using points made it an affordable vacation. Otherwise it can definitely get pricey. We had beautiful views of the ocean from our room and overall the staff was great. Awesome food options. This hotel is on the northernmost part of the beach Which has its advantages and disadvantages. Namely, it is quieter because the resort is off the boardwalk but it is further away if you want to walk anywhere. I would highly recommend but I would warn that there is a $30 a day resort fee plus $20 a day for parking. It also is kid friendly as he knows many kids in the area to with great pool options.

We had a very, nice three day weekend stay. But, we were not informed about the Resort fee of $300. Nor, did we get an employee discount. But, it was sorta worked out. The hotel room was beautiful, but we had a urine stain on my beautiful, white comforter. Everything else was top rated, the best view, and cleaned beach area.

Our favorite location to stay while visiting family in VA Beach. The hotel has countless amenities, located directly on the beach at the end of the boardwalk, and excellent options for food. Tulu located on the ground floor has delicious breakfast and lunch options. Orion’s Roof for dinner is a must! We also always make reservations at The Cavalier, utilizing the shuttle system for a short and private ride to the property. Important to note there is a resort and parking fee. In the end, it’s worth it for the safety and carefree vacation Marriott VA Beach Oceanfront offers.

The hotel room was very nice, clean and had a great view. Room service was easy, online, but delivery was horrible. Ordered dessert, which came with ice cream and 2 wine glasses. Listened for a knock on the door, even kept check the hall way. Food was left at the, never a knock and ice cream melted. Not a single wine glass for my anniversary.

Beautiful hotel. Great location. Very clean. Spacious rooms. Accommodating staff. Fastest service request & best housekeeping so far. Year round pools, quality restaurants. One-stop hotel, you don’t need to leave the hotel for anything if you choose not to. The 4-stars is for some minor out dated wall papers, bubbled up wall paint and drain clogs. Overall very satisfied.

Love this hotel. The only issue is now that it's warm, they need to be strict about guests only using the pool. It was absolutely packed this weekend, and there were several parties we talked to who were NOT staying at the hotel. When you're paying $650 a night, you want to at least have a shot at enjoying the resort and not worry about outsiders taking your space for free. You should have to present your pool card in order to secure seating.

Great place to stay but parking is tide and a lot of people are not cautious driving. You will need the hotel key to go in the parking lot and out all the time and also elevator too. The rooftop restaurant is awesome! The view is amazing! They don't have microwave, washer/dryer. Rooms only have little fridge. Rooms are okay. They have good service. The restaurant downstairs is good too. Pools are great, they have outside and inside, gym is great. The hotel view is amazing! It's worth it to be here!

Beautiful Resort! Pools are heated. Free beach chairs that already set up. Orion restaurant on the 23rd floor (Roof Top). Have to scan room key on elevator in order to get to your floor. Good for security. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend!

In person upon checking in were told parking was $20 for the stay but it was $20 per day. We were told there was a flat fee for the beach chairs but paid for all the days and weren't able to get a chair two of the days. On checking out we were told the policies including first come first serve on the beach were on the website. Food was good but bar service was awful. On Sunday I waited at the pool side bar for 40 minutes and never got to place an order. I went to a different pool side bar in the neighboring hotel... bartenders were wearing uniforms from Marriott.... waited 20 minutes and left without being able to place an order. I observed guests on the beach arguing that their reservation for their cabana was double booked. Hotel is clean. Best service was in the starbucks My recommendation is to go for the room and the view but take your own beach chairs and drinks. Eat out at other restaurants nearby.

Lovely place! Very beautiful and spacious. Nice decent sized pool along anything you would need for your stay. With beautiful architecture, the whole area is themed off of its history with famous Jazz musicians and 50s to 60s Era Entertainment without being too old fashioned. This area has its own separate portion of the beach shore line separate from the board walk, perfect for couples seeking a more quiet and private experience. The area itself is split between its "membership " suites and everyday suites. Though having stayed in the everyman service, it was most definitely not a disappointment in anyway. Food is great! Especially the poolside bar with incredible Mexican food for a decent price. Overall a wonderful place Eben if you stay for 1 night

I absolutely loved staying at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront resort. The hotel itself is gorgeous. The pools and grounds are meticulously maintained and the service was incredible from the moment my husband and I checked in. Also, the location is perfect as you are right on the beach. Waking up to the beach was amazing and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Virginia Beach!

One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed at. Tons of high end dining to choose from. Also late night snacks and lunch spots. If you download the Freebee app you can get a FREE ride from here all up and down the oceanfront. The beds we so comfortable and the sun rise views were amazing. There was always tons of parking. We will be back!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and spacious and the view from the balcony was amazing. I enjoyed the on-site restaurants and music. Each meal I had from the restaurants were great. I loved having a section of the beach right in front of the hotel with chairs and umbrellas or bed and cabanas for additional fee. The only thing that I would like to see different is that they add microwaves to the rooms, add a partition to separate the balconies because there is no privacy from each room, and no $20/day fee for parking. Other than that, the hotel is nice and we would stay here again.

Easily one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed at. Absolutely stunning. The amenities were great and the beach front views were gorgeous. Good food and drinks in the lobby bar as well. Very clean rooms.

This place is fantastic! Yes the food and drinks are a little pricey but that’s what you get with 5 star OCEANFRONT bars and dining. The pool is busy BECAUSE IT IS A NICE AND BUSY PLACE! The parking is super convenient easy to get in and out of, which is always nice for a busy hotel. We came here for a conference and all the food and drinks provided by the hotel were beyond my expectations, we were happy to find the same bartender more than once durning our stay and he was AMAZING! Shout out to Lane for making these evens better with his fabulous hair and great personality! The entire staff from the check in to the housekeeping were beyond fantastic! If you are looking for a place with great atmosphere and friendly staff then look no further! Can’t wait for our next stay! Hats off to you and your staff Marriott! Thank you for a fantastic week! And anyone reading this review keep in mind the people working behind the scene are here to make a living! Cash is king folks! Always remember to tip!!!

I’m writing a very mixed review. The location and the views out of this hotel are incredible but there’s a lack of customer care and misinformation they make you pay a resort fee and they tell you ABCD is included semi already got free because of my Marriott status, and somewhere outside the time you’re staying if you’re only here for one night. Yes, I knew it was aware of the fee before I got here. I will give them a credit that we get very good breakfast voucher and the breakfast room is lovely we’re beautiful views of the ocean. Also the lounge or the restaurant I should really say on the top floor has the most striking views I’ve ever ever seen, I’ve just feel like they can learn something about customer service. I get some attitude that this is a privately owned hotel and you were lucky to get any of your Marriott privileges. I would like to commend them on the very generous breakfast voucher of $22 per person.

Hotel is lovely! The oceanview balcony provides a nice view of the ocean. The room is cozy. I love the shampoo/gel wash/ conditioner already set up in the shower! Very convenient! Service was friendly. Slight misunderstanding, but nothing that took away from the elegance of the hotel. I would go back!

The hotel atmosphere was really nice. However, the room was extremely dirty. My husband and I visited on June 25 2022 as part of our honey moon trips so we chose the best Marriott in VA beach which our room rate was $850 for one night. First we enter the room walked to the balcony and I see a cigarette not a big deal since its just in the balcony. Walked to the bathroom opened the toilet seat and there was a brown stain. Still ignored it!! Went to have lunch at the restaurant Tulu and the food was great. Came back to the room to put the left over food in the fridge and the fridge was dirty. There was fungus and a piece of food which was really disgusting. At this point we had to tell the receptionist we walked down and complained. The receptionist pretended that he was writing something and did not offer anything. The hotel was very packed and our check in was 4 PM we couldn’t do much about it that day since our stay is very short! This was a disappointing experience. We picked the best hotel for $850 a night and expected the room to be super clean (spotless) since this is very important for us. I understand the hotel was packed but they should also hire more housekeeping staff to keep up with the cleanliness since they also hype up their prices during the peak season.

I loved this hotel. No issues at all. Rooms were clean, service was great, staff was friendly, and most of all, the area was FULL OF NIGHT LIFE! We had the best weekend ever. Thanks Marriott! I Highly recommend this Hotel!

Let me tell you. I have been watching this hotel for about a year now and finally got a chance to stay here asides from work schedule. The staff was fantastic, the room was amazing, the bathroom was amazing, and the view from the 16th floor was out of this world. I am so happy that I got to stay here and I look forward to coming back in the near future. If you haven't stayed here yet then what are you waiting for. Everyone has their own experience and I can say mine has been awesome and I hope yours is as well.

Newly built building! They have hardfloor which was quite clean. We stayed on the top floor (22nd) which had great view! Indoor pool was okay (it would be much better if u visit in summer). Gym was small, but they have a great quality of equipments with nice view of beach. All staff members were very kind and nice. In room service was good too! Oh, there is a great rooftop restaurant called Orion Restaurant which has the best view especially for sunset time! Fair taste for rolls but highly recommend drink (we had sake and rum, both were awesome).

The view was absolutely stunning! The hotel is beautiful inside and out! The staff was friendly, pleasant and extremely helpful! The rooms are very comfortable and I loved the walk in shower! The decor of the hotel is breathtaking and the aroma that fills the lobby from the Garden wall is so inviting! You will not be disappointed when booking a stay at this beautiful hotel!!

Beautiful hotel; flawed execution. Very impressed with the grounds and the room, but service leaves something to be desired. I appreciate the daily resort activities (10/10 recommend the paint night on Sunday)! And Orion’s Roof has amazing food. And almost all the staff were exceptionally friendly and hospitable. But the restaurants close earlier than advertised, the servers are spread thin, the front desk takes liberties with the “based on availability” limitations on late checkout, and housekeeping can be a bit intrusive. All in all, I enjoyed the hotel and found it to be one of the best at the oceanfront, but for the price, I would hope for a bit of a smoother stay.

This is one of my favorite Marriott. Clean friendly staff has everything you need without leaving property. I am a Marriott ambassador usually staying for business. Not this time perfect for relaxing. Nice upgrade thank you for a very relaxing vacation I really appreciate your service and attention to your guest

This place was Amazing! We were treated with amazing care from every member of staff we encountered. Chris and Connor made check in a breeze and explained everything the resort has to offer. The breakfast buffet at Tulu was great and we ended up eating there every morning. Go early to avoid waiting for a table. Melinda was our server a few of the mornings and deserves a shout out with how consistent her service was. Room felt plenty spacious and had a great view with huge floor to ceiling windows. Was clean and very modern in style. The indoor pool was great for our young girls as it has the zero entry. It was also a bit cooler and less crowded than the outdoor one. Plenty of chairs and stations to rinse off sand or the chlorine. Beach was nice and we got free chairs with our room. It was very hot out the week we spent there and we didn’t spend much time at the ocean. It does drop off very quick so be careful. Easy access to the boardwalk and plenty of places to lock up your bikes. You can even rent them from the hotel which makes seeing the entire boardwalk a breeze. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this to anyone.
