Biodiversity park near RCD Hospital is right in the city centre making it very accessible for everyone to enjoy this beautiful botanical garden and educate themselves. It has a myriad of rare and protected plant species and the park founder, Rama Murthy sir and his team take utmost care in preserving these plants and sharing knowledge. He was super knowledgeable and passionate about spreading awareness about environmental protection and I really enjoyed learning all about the flora and fauna. They also have workshops for school and college children which is wonderful way to spread the knowledge with the coming generations. If you are in the area, definitely visit and enjoy this park. Also make sure to support by spreading about the place and donate to support ongoing preservation efforts. ☺️

One of the best places you can find various species of plants, including plants and trees of rainforests and dessert plants such as succulents and many varieties of cacti. There are many exotic and seasonal plants as well. Endangered species are also grown with more care and protection. The plants are grown within a microclimate particular to their requirements.

One of the most biodiverse areas I have ever seen. I enjoyed learning about different plants, orchids, spices, cacti, etc. - you name it, they are here. The sheer number of plants maintained with tight budget speaks tons about the passion and dedication put by Dr. Murthy garu. I wish financial effort and care be given by the local government to preserve what they have here.

DNCS( Dolphin Nature Conservation Society) Biodiversity park located within the premises of RCD hospital, pedawaltair, Visakhapatnam AP India. This park is spread across 3 acres of land and hosting more than 2000 varieties of plants and trees most of them are vary rare and endangered species. This park has different segments like 1. Incubation center for imparting lectures to students 2. Poly house( hosting pitcher plants and rare ferns) 3. Orchidorium 4. Desert plants (cactus plants) 5. Rasi vanam (12 trees for 12 zodiac signs) 6. Nakshatra vanam (27 plants for 27 stars) 7. Saptarshi vanam ( 7 trees for 7 rishis) 8. Vinayaka vanam (21 plants for Vinayaka puja) This wonderful biodiversity park is valuable gene bank in the world. Surprisingly this is maintained and managed whole and sole by Dr Rama Murthy, retired professor in zoology Department of BVK college. He runs this park all alone for the past 22 years out of his passion and love towards mother nature. This biodiversity park is a gem in the city of Destiny and it not only gives knowledge but also priceless aesthetic pleasure. So inorder to sustain this wonderful gene bank, needs support from all age groups and all faculties all over the world. Once again kudos to Dr Rama Murthy sir for his untiring efforts.

A must see place when you are in Vizag. This is the only place where one can find so many varieties of plants and trees in one place. Great efforts by founders and members of Dolphin Nature Conservation Society to maintain the place and preserving the treasure for the future generations.

Wonderful biodiversity park with a wide range of flora. I was so thrilled to see pitcher's plant which belongs to insectivorous family. Some of the unique plants like Seethamma vaari jada, Krishna's butter cup, Jesus smile, Autograph plant can be seen in this park. They have separate segments for medicinal herbs, ornamental, aquatic and desert plants. This is a good place for those who like to connect with nature and learn about nature's uniqueness.
