Meh.... Like any other buffet, they have some good foods and some not so good foods. The Chinese food was good, the sushi bar was kind of generic and tasted mass produced. But the desserts? Stay away! I tried like 6 diff things and they were all awful! Dry, tasteless and the brownies tasted like chemicals. The place was pretty clean and well kept for a buffet, the drink refills service was also pretty fast.

King Buffet is a local favorite, offering a variety of options throughout the day. Dinner offerings include salmon, a sushi bar, a variety of fried foods including chicken, various potatoes (pan fried and mashed) and in part because of the large Chinese population... Chinese fare. The buffet is light on veggies, though there is some broccoli and zucchini offered. Dessert is basic: jello, ice cream, cookies and pudding. Prices are pretty inexpensive.

Friday, March 3, 2023 My boyfriend took me to King Buffet & I loved the varieties of food that this buffet had. Since it is Lent I am to abstain from eating meat on Fridays, in memory of Good Friday. Loved the quality of food & everything I had was delicious. The atmosphere was chill. The service from the waitresses was great - they take your plate as soon as they see you are done with it to make table room for you. The only negative I have is the price was $18 per person. I didn't even eat that much food for it to be worth that price. So it was a little pricey. Other then that it was very nice.

If you get there after 3:30 it's gonna cost $20(tax inc.). Before 3:30 it's like $13 or something. They had a lot of food. Drinks are included. They had soft serve ice cream and slushies. We ate a lot of their sushi and they did a great job of keeping up. They do a good job of getting your empty plates and the staff were nice.

Price is kinda high. But at least the food is good and the menu is the best I've seen yet. It's a little hot in there. But worth it. The selection of food AND DRINKS is simply amazing. I highly recommend this place but be warned about Price shock.

This used to be one of our favorite places to eat until today. It wasn’t about the food itself but the customer service. My sister has special needs so she has to look around to even know if she likes the place we are at. Take in mind she is only five years old. When we walked in there was a man in the front supervising I believe. when my two sisters walked in and started to look around the man wasn’t to happy. He started to tell me and my parents to tell them to come back. I tried explaining to the man the situation we had and how my sister has autism but he didn’t care and was insisting for them to come back to do a head count. We tried to explain how my sister wouldn’t come back because of her needs and this man kept on repeating he needed a head count. When we were finally able to bring my sister to do a “head count” instead of doing in quickly he kept on repeating the same thing. This man was very rude and disrespectful to all of us. I don’t recommend this place since they and inconsiderate of the circumstances and would rather lose customers then listen to one’s needs. I hope this information is helpful and the owners to take action to this matter.

Started going there 4 months ago after visilia dr apt once a month. This last time was terrible.our favorite dishes were fried so hard couldn't chew. And our favorite dish the coconut pineapple shrimp was all small and tough and lacked the sweet taste. I could go on and on. We will continue to be faithful to super buffet in hanford 3 times a week. The Best Always. Can't beat this place, selections fabulous 😍 as is the workers. Love them

Huge buffet at the beginning the cashier gave us a hard time has us waiting because she said we had to be all together a family of more than 12 including kids they didn't let us go again so we waited and then another person accommodated us in a separate place for bigger party's so that went well but the food was good other than that everything else ok.

This is a well-owned and managed Chinese budget restaurant. It is well fit for individuals to family dining. The food is plentiful, fresh, and properly cooked. The staff is friendly, busy, and accommodating. This is a perfect choice for anyone to enjoy. We have been twice in the last two weeks and both times were equally enjoyable. Since the pandemic, they have made some very good improvements in how the public can enjoy quality cuisine in a desirable environment with pleasing background music. This is a must go to dining experience.

Very busy buffet, not a whole lot of choices but just enough. Flavor is lacking on a lot of the dishes. Self serve drinks is a plus. Sushi bar too.

This place is awesome, definitely a new favorite, and totally recommend. Great variety of food, nice and clean atmosphere. I like that you can refill your own drinks as well. The staff are super friendly.

Went to the buffet as dinner date with my fiancé. The food was really good just don't like when buffet add mayo onto their sushi or cheesy oysters. The place is very clean! I will recommend going again specially dinner date!! Their miso soup is very amazing!!! And piece is very cheap specially coming from porterville when drinks are not included.

Food flavor is better than in past years. If you like sushi, oysters, salmon and the like, you'll like this place. You can find some american food like pizza, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. I thought it was okay, price is average considering inflation prices.

On Sunday it gets pretty packed. We had to wait in line to pay and wait in a separate line to be seated. There is no direction in which to get food, and the kids running around doesn't make it any easier. Most of the food is good but it takes a bit for them to refill the seafood which is the first go.

5-25-23 this was my first time here and I liked the place. I didn't know it was a Chinese buffet. The salt n pepper shrimp was delicious. Surprisingly, the sushi was pretty good too. The fruit was fresh and the workers came by often to pick up plates

Best crawfish ever had in the buffet. Free soda is smart. Good business!

My standards for food and buffets are not that high, but this was a pretty disappointing experience. I'd say about 60%-70% of the food is edible, but of this amount almost everything tastes off; either too bland, too salty, or just weirdly seasoned. The chicken wings were the most normal tasting thing there, aside from the soda. The other 30-40% is not edible. For example the fried shrimp was bad and had a very strange soft squishy texture and large amounts of cut fruit were rotten and falling apart. The service was not terrible. Atmosphere wise, the restaurant is pretty run down and the carpets are filthy and look like they've had 20-30 years of foot traffic and various buffet sauces spilled on them with no cleaning. The buffet area itself however looked fairly clean. I want to support independent local businesses whenever I can but overall I'd say you could have a better and more satisfying experience at any major fast food chain. This is just my subjective opinion so take it with a grain of salt... but it's also my honest truth.

Took my family there for my birthday which was November 22, on the door it said they open at 11 AM..there was already a long line..she didn’t open the door till 11:15 or 11:20..when she opened the door..she didn’t bother to hold the door open for us and the door shut on a little girl.. she didn’t even apologize for being late or for closing the door on a little girl that was first in line..that being said the food isn’t the same anymore..how it use2..it’s horrible now..especially the girls upfront with attitude on there face..with horrible service I didn’t bother even leaving a tip..never coming back again! And it was $55 which is sooo much!!

It’s was okay food needed a little bit more flavor or be fresh i still ate it. Ice cream didn’t have flavor. The best thing here is the dessert and soda 😁😂

A friend and I drove from Hanford, Ca. (gas is not cheap) because of the web sight this establishment puts out for the public to see. In which they advertised their "all you can eat" lunch and dinner prices Their lunch says $8.75 per plate. However, when we walked in... the very rude woman at the register rang us up for $36. and some odd cents. When we asked for a manager he came out with an attitude. Acting as if we were bothering him. All he would say is; EACH PLATE IS $16.95 And that does not include drinks! I told him he needs to fix their web sight and put the real prices that they charge All he could say is "he has no control over what is published on the web" Needless to say.. We were not very happy with the very poor customer service and false advertisement. So people beware!

This place is ok, has a lot sea food & American food like fries, deep fried chicken, my favorite dishes are the soups & noodles. Is clean and organized. It gets really busy at lunch time.

The food was great! They were very busy but were very well staffed! The only reason it's a 4 star and not 5 is because my husband's drink was empty a lot we had to wave staff down to take our pilled up finished plates even though we were seated right next to the bussboy station. There was enough child friendly foods that my son was a happy camper, he loved staring at the fish and the toy gacha machines at the entrance! Tried fried calamari for the first time tonight and it was delicious, thanks so much for the wonderful meal!!

Pretty good. We walked in hungry and walked out full. Pricing is fair. Kind of wished they had something like spaghetti for the kiddos. Sad to see that their bigger fish are gone. They have replaced them. Some food was good, some was not. With Hometown Buffet being gone they have an chance to change some of their food and really capture more clientele.
