The only place I’ve ever been that there’s an hour long wait at 10 pm for sandwiches and people are happy to do it! Not fast paced, but that was half of the appeal. We ate and enjoyed ourselves till 1 am and it was still packed! The food is delicious and made with such love. They grew and milled and baked the spelt for the bun to my burger, made my delicious veggie burger by scratch. The waiter was right, the cream cheese pie is better than cheese cake! I adored the building. They built the restaurant with such craftsmanship and style I felt like I had flown back to Turkey or Morocco, so unique and artisan. The sincerity of the staff, and the delicious food made this a complete hit. I even bought two spelt loafs of bread to go. Can’t beat hand grown, milled and baked ancient grain bread. I wish I could give them more stars and move next door.

Great restaurant in vista. Super friendly staff. Food was delicious. I got the Santa Fe chicken sandwich and it was great. We got the food to go and the service was quick. I will go back.

The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. The overall ambiance and feel of the location is relaxing and comfortable. However, the service is well below average. Of course you can usually expect a little bit of a wait which is no problem. I ate here the other day and it took about an hour and 45 minutes in total. Only about 5 of that was waiting for our table. We started by waiting to even be greeted once we were seated. We were ready to order by then since we had plenty of time to read the menu, some pamphlets, etc. It took almost 20 minutes JUST to get our drinks, then another 15 to get our sandwiches. Once we finished up - it took more than half an hour to even get out check. We completely cleaned up our table, looked around for our server who was no where in site. We just continued waiting, we asked the host to help out with getting the check which didn't seem to help. I LOVE Yellow Deli, I love the place and I love the food. Unfortunately, it might be a to-go stop from now on. If you have plenty of time to kill, I'd say go for it!

This is the most awesome restaurant I have ever been to! I've been to great restaurants, good food, good atmosphere. But this place I was extremely impressed with. The Reuben sandwich was excellent, so fresh! The Matte tea with mango juice was refreshing and gave me energy. But the best thing about the place were the people. Never met nicer servers in my life. They took the time to answer your questions and just chat with you if you wanted. I love the history of the place, the fact that they all take care of one another, have their own farms and I greatly appreciated the magnificent creativity that appears everywhere you look. I love the reclaimed wood right down to the simple fruit basket lamp shades. Truly an amazing place. I learned there are a couple in NY state and I can't wait until I get back to New Jersey to bring my daughter and really good friend whom will both really dig the mood!

This place is excellent! It's peaceful, beautiful, serene and the staff are wonderful. If you haven't been here to get a sandwhich or smoothie or both, I highly reccomend giving this place a visit. No matter who you are, you will feel welcome and feel like you are at home here. This is a great place overall. I love it!

This place is amazing. Delicious food, natural ingredients that are local and healthy. The tea is amazing, and very strong! Overall, you enter this place and feel like you’re taking a step back into time. It has a Renaissance vibe and a chill atmosphere. All are welcome. And the hours are long so if you come early or late, there’s a good chance they will be open and welcome you with delicious and caffeinated drinks.

My husband and I came here for lunch for the first time. The don’t take reservations. We put our name down and was told that they were busy today and it would be 1/2 hr to and hour wait. We checked after 45 mins and was told that there was still a wait. We explained that we had an appointment to get to and he found seating upstairs for us. We were told that the soup would be the quickest to serve so I ordered the cup of lentil soup which came with bread to have there and our sandwiches to go just in case we had to take leave. I had the Ruben sandwich and my husband had a the Alaskan salmon sandwich. The soup was so flavorful! It’s one of the best lentil soups I’ve had. I would highly recommend it and definitely get it again. I ate part of my Ruben sandwich which was delicious. It wasn’t super salty as most Ruben sandwiches are. It was just right. My husband enjoyed his salmon sandwich and was surprised how much he liked it. Overall, our experience was great (food and service) and they were accommodating to our schedule in having us seated and trying to get our meal out to us. I would recommend this place if you’re not in a rush or have any time restraint. We look forward to coming back when we have more time.

This place invokes calm the second you walk in, with a very homey atomospere. The wait staff are friendly and courteous. The food selections are plentiful and very tasty. Lucky for all of us, there are more of these places.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Yellow Deli and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the friendly staff and put on their waitlist. We then hung out in their upstairs tea lounge until being seated at a nearby cozy table with reclaimed barn wood decor. To start, we ordered the Dandy Lion and Hot Apple Cider. The drinks were served in branded yellow mugs and were delicious. The Dandy Lion was ordered with oat milk and was full of unique flavors. I'd describe it as creamy, rich, and flavorful. The Hot Apple Cider was perfect for a somewhat chilly day. For the main course, my girlfriend and I both ordered sandwiches. She went with the make-your-own option, which is the specialty of this sandwich restaurant. She was able to choose from a wide range of ingredients, and the staff was more than happy to accommodate her requests. She ended up with a mouthwatering sprout and chicken sandwich that was both filling and satisfying. I opted for the Deli Rose sandwich, which is one of their sandwich specialties. It was served warm and had a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The sandwich was loaded with roast beef, corned beef, pepper jack cheese, provolone cheese, onions, tomato, and a spicy red sauce. The bread matched the texture of the rest of the sandwich to perfection. As an avid reviewer, I have to say that the sandwich at The Yellow Deli was one of the best I've had in a while. The portion size was not too much and not too little. I felt completely satisfied by the end of the meal without feeling "fat." The atmosphere of The Yellow Deli is truly unique, with handcrafted woodwork throughout the entire property. We enjoyed the communal seating and chatting with other diners, which added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. There’s a reason why the line is out the door and the wait can take a while. It’s because the food is the best and the service is incredible! Life is more laid back here. You really can feel their love and taste it in every bite! The ambiance is extremely unique and inviting. Every server has personality and loves their job. The Yellow Deli is a happy place to both eat at and be at. Learning about their culture was really interesting too. Their food really is incredible and my favorites are: The Deli Rose Sandwhich and the Vistacado. YOU MUST EAT DESSERT HERE!!!!! The pound cake and cream cheese cake 🍰 are out of this world delicious! The drinks are great too! The banana milk, the mate, the hot apple cider, the pina colada are a must, every time. Plan to eat a lot here because your taste buds will have you begging for more!

Love the food, and the other things that go on here. I would heavily recommend getting the veggie sandwich, will go again!!! Plus, if you ask about the cult they will take you upstairs and give you free food

Food is pretty good… the place is super nice but the service sucks … when you feel you are not appreciated as a costumer definitely is not a come back. Loved their grapefruit juice and food but staff need to be a bit nice and courteous.

Food here is delicious!!! Love that it's 24hrs on some days and the service is great! Family owned place and I love the decor of this place. If you're looking for good food and good vibes, this place is definitely it!!!

This restaurant has great healthful food! My favorite part is the exceptional woodworking and unique design of the 2-level building. I understand that years of hard work went into design and construction. The restaurant has many cozy corner tables and outdoor tables too. Note that they are open 24 hours. However they are closed for their Sabbath starting on Friday afternoons, closed all day Saturdays, and closed until 12 noon on Sundays.

A quaint place with great sandwiches and friendly service. The Deli Rose sandwich was so incredibly sumptuous it should have a gold medal. The chili is spiced perfectly and has really tender morsels of meat. Everything is first rate and the old house is quite charming.

I've been here several times. Laura loves the salads and I usually get the Deli Rose. The ambience is rustic, but up to date where it matters. I've never had a bad meal here. The staff is super nice. I didn't realize I shared a birthday with the establishment! That was cool. I had the matte latte today and it was wonderful. My friend got the Deli Rose by my recommendation, and so did I. It was better than I remember. I brought home a carrot cake for Laura. I know she will love it!

When I first came to Yellow Deli, I was amazed by their interior design! It's like the hobbit house from LOTR. I had their carrot cake and it was moist and delicious! My go-to sandwich is the Reuben and if they have tomato soup that day, go try it! It's perfect for dipping your sourdough bread in. We came here several times but had to move to another place because there's no available seats. This place is a really a local favorite. The best times to come is around 2-4pm and you will surely get seats. Also the servers are very nice and accommodating.

If you want good, healthy food at all hours of the day or night, come here. The food is delicious and always fresh. It can get busy, but it's always worth the wait. Dogs are allowed on the patio, making it Stitch approved.

Love eating here because the food is always so delicious! I had the soup of the day, which was broccoli cheddar and a chicken sandwich. Food always takes a bit to come out but is always worth the wait.

It’s like a piece of The Shire had a baby with San Diego and left this little spot here sprinkled with a little bit of 70s magic dust. The ambiance is inviting and the staff is one of the best I’ve ever dealt with very sweet with amazing attitudes. The food gets a 10/10 Starting with the beautifully crafted Sandwiches that have you hooked on the first bite and one of the most Magical waffles you’ll ever have words can’t begin to describe how delicious they are you have to pop in and try them to understand it’s an eating experience that can’t be matched. I would have taken pictures but the food was too hard to resist I’ll be back soon and adding them though.

As soon as I entered the restaurant I had the feeling of calm. The place looks like an evolution with things added over time. I sat outside upstairs with wooden tables and huge plants. The menu is very varied although not too big. I understand that a lot of the food is grown by the people who have the restaurant so it is fresh and of good quality. I had an avocado and turkey sandwich. It was large with potato chips and had a generous filling. It was so enjoyable I ordered a salad and a different sandwich for out dinner. Service was pleasant and the price low. If it was closer to home I would be here regularly.

One of my favorite go to spot. The place looks like an old Victorian home. The food is amazing and all natural. I had the roast beef and corned beef sandwich with my favorite lentil soup, you have to try. Call ahead to see if it's being stirred the soup changes daily oh by the way all their suits are vegan even the chili.

The food was great when you consider that it is available in the middle of the night. You can't go wrong. A nice looking place, with a cozy atmosphere. I will come back. The service could have been friendlier though, that's why they get only 4 stars.
