Amazing place for a weekend getaway... Place is neat and calm. Not much to do than watch the beautiful scenery. No charges completely free.Saw some monkeys out in the trees but no harm.

A walk through the serene forest and a scenic view of peppara dam could give you a peaceful feel. This place is rich in flora and fauna hence a good place for nature lovers. From Trivandrum city, it takes a little over one hour to reach this place( around 45 kilometers).

Ample parking, good destination to relax and escape from hectic days. Try to avoid sunny days. The best time to visit will be morning and evening. Rainy days too will be awesome. The ponmudi peak view from the dam site is refreshing. *no entry fees. *keep the place clean. *carry water and snacks.

One of the golden places for trekking in forest. You have to walk upto kilometers and kilometers ( minimum 5km), until you see a beautiful waterfall near infront of you, also there are chances for you to meet up with some monkeys up there. You can have fun swiming there. Do not try to miss the massage by the waterfall, comeon just go and sit underneath the fall and you'll experience it. "Seems like the natures thanking you for coming all the way long and telling you can take rest now". No animal harm has been reported yet. You'll get to see wild animals rarely if its in the case of rainy season. The best time to go is on summers. The forest officer in charge will provide you a good guide to direct your way and to bring you back safely.

Not too much expectations. But the highlight is the stunning view from the Dam top. This dam is under kerala water authorities. There is no entrance fee and you can explore few hours here with family bor friends

The view was great... But there was no one there and nothing else, almost secluded. While it was a good place to hangout, I never felt safe with my family. Just my opinion.
