Beautiful, clean, lots of room to enjoy your day there. Breakfast was great, cook it yourself in front of you. We will be back! I wish they still had some of the stuff from way back in the day would be cool to see. The big building holds all the history of the place quite interesting. The trees are worth seeing in person, pictures do it no justice. And your car is parked in the shade😁😁. Almost every spot. Water feels cold at first but do refreshing. 72` They have canoe and tube rentals, you can catch the boat tour too.

Great Park. Canoeing, paddle boarding, kayaking is available on rent. You can launch your own boat too. There is a deep water swimming area if you want to learn, test or practice scuba diving. Not too crowded, enough parking and great photogenic place with ample light for photography. The Sugar Mill Restaurant (also known as The old Spanish sugar mill restaurant) is wonderful too. Make unlimited pancakes yourself on the hot plate. Restaurant provides plates, batter, toppings and guidelines.

A beautiful state park, with a nice cool, fresh water swimming pool above the spring. The Sugar Mill "cook your own" pancakes were a fantastic breakfast, the bacon and sausage sides were very tasty. We will definitely visit again, next time we are in the area

Beautiful park. The attendant at the park entrance today (6/8/23) was so welcoming and kind. Unfortunately I didn’t grab her name, but she was truly a delight and made our experience more enjoyable. The water was chilly but refreshing. If you decide to hike the trails, be sure to have bug repellent in hand because the mosquitoes will find you! Overall loved this park and will return. Thanks to all the staff and volunteers that contribute to keeping it running and maintaining its beauty. ❤️

Really fun state park! We went over MLK Jr. weekend and it was a bit crowded and chilly but we still had a great time. The restaurant was already booked up when we got there so we are looking forward to going back to experience that but from the sights and smell it should be pretty good. Since they were all booked up we just ordered some food from the take away stand and it was really good for a decent price. The hot cocoa was really yummy and warms you right up on a cold day (although rare in Florida!) Would 100% recommend just as a place to get out of the house for a day. When we go back we hope to also try the kayaking and swimming!

New to Florida and visiting every springs possibly is on my husband’s and I to do list. This is number three for us and every single one is just as beautiful as the next. Skipped the pancakes (the wait can be a couple hours) but enjoyed the scenery and tranquility of it all. Water is cold (don’t let 72 degrees fool you) but just go for the plunge and all is well. I also appreciate a springs that has shallow water areas where I can just sit or stand and enjoy just being in the water. Would definitely come by again and perhaps maybe even try the famous pancake house. And be sure to stop by the visitor center and learn some historical facts about the springs and surrounding areas.

I highly recommend this spring park. It's very clean and family friendly. You can bring you're own food and drink, you can cook you're own or you can buy it right there. Be mentally prepared because the water is really cold. The place have a little museum with interesting stuff.

Cool place the pancake breakfast is the main attraction. the swimming is rather small and can get crowded. Picturesque views, nice picnic tables, grills and sugar mill remnants. The park is very nice but as far as Springs are concerned a rather disappointing boil.

A great place for a picnic and swimming. The pool area is naturally temperature controlled due to the spring feeding thousands of gallons of fresh water into it. You can rent paddle boats canoes and other recreational toys. You can also take a ride on a tour boat and see some of natural Florida maybe even a gator or two. It is recommended that you get reservations if you wish to eat at the restaurant it's usually quite busy. There's even a nice dock for fishing. A great recommended family outing.

This place was very busy but still plenty of room to enjoy. The swimming area was great. The boat tour was an awesome adventure. It allowed us to see more of the beautiful nature and amazing wildlife.

I love, love, love this park!! It's big and beautiful with gorgeous trees. There is plenty of space to accommodate all the guests. Lots of benches and grills. They also have a few cover pavilions. The enclosed spring is plenty big. There is a roped off section for small kids to enjoy. There is also an area where you can jump and flip into the deeper section. There is a cute little waterfall that flows into the St.John's River. Boat tours are available, as well as paddle boats and kayaks for rent. You can also fish off the river. They have lots of information posted about the history of the springs as well as a gift shop and restrooms. Pet are allowed at the park, but they are not allowed in the swimming area. And I can't forget to mention the awesome Sugar Mill restaurant. I ve only been able to order food from the outside concession so far as you must arrive when the park opens to get on the list for the inside restaurant. (It's very popular and busy)

These springs and the surroundings are very nice to enjoy with family. It offers both swimming and fishing , which is a plus. It would be nice if the pancake house patrons were not taking up parking spaces for those just wanting to get in the park, but the pancake house cannot be moved, so it was it is. 😊. Plenty of nice pavilions are available and the best part is the price. $6 per car, but for the summer they had a promotion for $1 off. We couldn't have asked for a better time for a better price!

Great getaway, springs are about 72 degrees year round, steps into water are covered with natural algae and can be slippery at times but allow an easier entrance into the water. There is a children's area roped off as the spring (boil) is very deep over 50 feet. You can use your goggles here and see how cool it is below the surface. The area behind the swimming area is separated by a walkway and mostly keeps the natural wildlife away from where the humans are enjoying the spring. You are able to fish on the river side but not off the walkway. The river also offers activities such as , paddle boats, canoeing, and boating as well as a guided tour that runs multiple times a day. Bring your own boats and toys and launch from here as well. There are trails to walk and the little old restraint where you make your pancakes on your table in front of you. Very family friendly and great fishing in morning and afternoon at the right time. Price to enter is less than 10 bucks for a normal car full, much lower for bikes and walk in guests. Go take a trip and see for yourself.

This is my family's favorite spring, close to home!! Well maintained and had a lovely grassy area, plus picnic tables, pavilions, BBQ grills, and decent bathrooms. The water is around 72 degrees year round, and I believe it's $6 per vehicle to enter!

We partook in an Excellent pontoon boat tour that was well worth the time and money. The wildlife and environment has been relatively unchanged for centuries. The swimming area was much cleaner than my prior visit 3 years ago. A very pleasant day that only would have been topped off better with a picnic underneath the live oaks overlooking the springs.

So beautiful! If you love cold springs this is one of the best in Florida. Very nice park, playground, large area to just lay blanket and sit. Took boat tour. Well worth the money. Went in May. Perfect weather. Not too busy.

Deleon springs state park is a beautiful and historic place to visit. You can just take a dip in the springs and have pancakes at the restaurant or you can expand your visit to include a boat tour to learn about the history of the springs and the sugar mill. There is a lovely nature trail where you can see monkey island, and see a 500 year old tree... Or if you're really adventuresome arrange for a 4-mile hike through alligator and snake infested swamps. There is a cave under the spring that certified scuba divers can explore, and a gift shop of treasures.

$1.00 off admission all summer long was a pleasant surprise! Only $1.00 each when walking in. Water is very refreshing but of course typically chilly spring and water. Charcoal grills by picnic tables, plenty of space to set up for the day with a canopy. Lots of shaded area as well and hiking trail.

20231206 This historic park is smaller than I expected. There is a short trail that loops through the cypress trees, an area to swim, a beautiful spring where you can take a 55 min boat tour, an old sugar mill with a restaurant, a fountain of Youth that is dried up, and a small waterfall which is pretty. There is a longer trail that is muddy. There isn't much to do unless you go swimming, go for a boat ride, or to just walk around.

Beautiful park! Perfect spot for a nice, cool swim or snorkel, even for young ones - or a picnic in one of the many pavilion areas. We got there right after opening on a Sat and it was practically empty. By 1pm there was still plenty of room, but lots of activity going on. Only complaint is their tube pricing at $3/hr per tube. Not horrible, but a bit opportunistic.

We had a fantastic visit to the park today. The goal: get pancakes. Status: achieved. Everything else was a bonus. We arrived around 8:30, checked in at the Old Sugar Mill shortly thereafter, and had about an hour wait for the two of us. This was our first trip to the restaurant and we had such a fun time. Great food, great service. Highly recommend the multi-grain pancakes and pair them with some blueberries and bananas for an add-on. It was a cool day when we visited, but it was a nice day to explore the park, walk on the nature trail, and see the historical sugar mill artifacts. What’s more? Our annual pass had expired, so we re-upped for another year at the front gate. See you all next time!

It's small but nice. The breakfast restaurant is a fun additional draw. We love the pancakes and the biscuits and gravy. Since this is a spring the water is chilly. There is a nice launch for boats and kayaks. Caution when using a boat should be used because most of the area is VERY shallow. Getting out of your boat or kayak is also very dangerous since the whole lake contains large alligators and snakes. There is a fee to enter the park even if you walk or bike in. There is a wait for breakfast sometimes especially on weekends, holidays and during the winter tourist seasons.

Main spring area is very nice. Nice swimming. The facilities are OK. Watch for the slime on the steps. Very slippery. After the short waterfall the river is not that pretty. We kayaked it and did not stay out for long. Once away from the park area, lots of boats and noise. And lots of gators. The pancake place is always a long wait. Fun but if you have to wait more than an hour it is not worth it.

Nice park and spring with a very interesting portion of history, good restaurant and fun! I arrive early in the morning December 3rd, (not sumner) and I have the opportunity to enjoy the peacefull of bird sounds, water and watch manatees showing part of its bodies floating on the surface. Also, it was Inspiring to see the old Methuselah tree, a +500 years old cipress! De leon became one of my favorite springs in central florida along with Blue Springs!
