Big disappointment. The building itself is beautiful. We were expecting nicely renovated rooms inside and to be able to see what the palace used to look like originally. Instead it’s a bloody museum. Couldn’t see anything from the original interior. The exhibitions themself were placed in a very boring way. You can make a museum interesting but here I feel like didn’t even try. Top of everything nothing was translated to English in the exhibition. You go to a museum in Czechia or Poland or anywhere you see English descriptions. All together, beautiful building turned into a boring museum. Felt like I was in a school field trip again but I volunteered to do so

Amazing place with lovely gardens. Entrance to the gardens is free and picnic is allowed which is great! Definitely worth a visit on a sunny day!

The palace building and gardens are beautiful. There is a history museum covering the period from ancient history until modern times. It is interesting however not amazing - if you have limited time to visit and are familiar with good history museums, you can easily skip the museum and just visit the palace. I would recommend walking up the palace tower which gives you access to great views.

Tower Museum and tower visits available inside, but you require proof of vaccination or recent test when we went. Different pricing options available depending on what you want to see. Can pay with card or cash. Very friendly staff, available to help in English and German. Lockers inside for storage of certain items, as you cannot take bags or purses inside. Photos are ok. The tower historic film about the castle is amazing but only available in German, so beware of that. You can however, go up to the tower right after. Vaccine or recent corona test required at the entrance.

Friendly staff and well laid out exhibitions. Didn't realize how big the Palace was with multilevel floors filled with history. Wear comfortable shoes. Definitely worth a visit. We parked in the paid parking under the castle, with a quick walk to the palace you get to see the full exterior walking to the entrance.

I did not know the interior of the castle, as I went very early and it only opens to the public at 10 am. We took a walk through the well garden. The day was inviting, as the temperature was pleasant and the sun reigned, this makes all the difference for those who live in cold countries :). There is underground parking with plenty of spaces at an affordable price. The only negative point is the garbage left by the uneducated people who were there the day before. There is nothing worse than human beings who litter such a beautiful environment.

(Translated by Google) It is worth taking the steps for the great view. The € 4 is money well invested. The all-round view allows an overview of the castle garden, as well as the whole city and the view to the Black Forest in the southeast and the Palatinate Forest in the west.

Beautiful building with so many artifacts to look at! We were pleasantly surprised at the amount of exhibits in the museum. It definitely exceeded our expectations. Stunning works of art and the price was reasonable. €8/adults I wish there would have been a cafe or something there to have a coffee afterwards but there was nothing we could find.

It is a brilliant place with lots of exhibitions and friendly museum employees as well as security officers. Really recommend to explore the tower(with extra 3euros) to have the whole lookout view. The place museum one-day-ticket allows tourists to enter the museum without limitations. You could take your time to explore the nearby places and the breath- taking park. Great place to go!

Visited on a sunny day, went up to the top, the view is perfect, you can see the symmetry of the architecture, be informed that the stairs to the top can be a bit tough. The museum itself literally exhibits everything, from local history to worldwide artefacts, even industrial products. But it is fun visiting and exploring.

Nice castle in a great place in center of Karlsruhe and it’s a quiet place where you can walk and get some fresh air and enjoy watching others doing different activities

Large museum with a very fine collection including, amongst others, Egyptian, Greek and Roman art work. The exhibition is very well done and tells a great story

I only visited the tower as the museum is mainly all in German. The tower had a nice panoramic view of Karlsruhe and £4 entry. You had to put all ur bags in the lower ground level lockers.

We went to the Schloss Park to have a drink on the terrace followed by a pick-nick in the park (weather was gorgeous). The Schloss itself and its park is a definite must-see when you're visiting Karlsruhe. Family and kids orientated, peaceful and beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful Schlossgarten where you can enjoy with your kids and dogs. You can enjoy the train ride also with your family. You can enter the Palace with your dog but outside you can enjoy it very well

The Castle is wonderful. I was lucky and the museum could be viewed for free. The history, dice 2500 a.C. you can see there. You find a shop with books and gifts from there. The people are lovely and kind. The park around is giant and beautiful.

(Translated by Google) A very beautiful tower that belongs to the Karlsruhe Palace. He is behind the castle. You can climb the tower and enjoy the beautiful view. Worth a visit !!!

Beautiful place. The museum is good. Unfortunately, for international travellers, there is limited translation. The view from the tower was worth the climb. The surrounding garden is serene.

Well, there isn't much to say because when I was there in Karlsruhe and wanted to visit the Palace it was closed but we could walk around As far as I remember it is a huge place where you can take photos and feel free to roam. It was all very exciting but with this small problem I went to get inside it but I had to stay out of it I

Beautiful place, especially at night. A lot of events happen here throughout the year. When you want to just relax and walk around the huge gardens surrounding this place, it gives you a lot of peace.

  • 5/5 Sibeesh V. 5 years ago on Google
This is an amazing place. The surroundings and the building is really beautiful. There is enough space to sit and relax in front of the palace. The kids will enjoy this as they have enough place to run and play. I have enjoyed my time here. I really recommend this place. It is a must visit if you are in Karlsruhe.

Had a very beautiful picnic with my friends! The museum is with varied cultures and learnings! The sight from the Tomb is awesome, I guess we need to pay 3€ for the entry just for the tomb. Otherwise the entry for Museum on every Fridays is free.

(Translated by Google) Not that many steps, but great views. The tower ticket (€ 4) includes a small exhibition and a film at certain times. The film was really good, with a very exciting screen that I don't want to spoil. I was on Sunday morning when I almost had the tower to myself.

(Translated by Google) 4 euro entrance, only for the tower is in my opinion, a bit too expensive, but the view is great! Pure panorama! Duty for anyone who is not afraid of heights and physically fit! 400 steps! 400 Stufen! :-)
